It’s 2019 and spotify still hasn’t added the option to delete a song from a playlist by swiping

    Posted: 10 Jan 2019 04:24 PM PST

It's a very impractical design choice to force their users to scroll all the way up, open up a menu and then separately select the songs they wanna remove from a playlist.

I'm pretty sure r/Jailbreak will figure out a fix for this if spotify won't.

Also sorry if this is the wrong sub. I wasn't sure if it works differently on android devices and I use iphone myself

Who is still using old iphones in 2019?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2019 06:54 AM PST

Found myself using , as my daily driver, a pristine condition iPhone 5 64gb (lost my 5s) and I'm having a really good experience, I mean it works perfectly as a communication tool: mail, Im, phone. Even reddit and Web surfing is OK. I'm thinking that it really works for me. So I'm wondering if there is people in this sub that is still using "old" devices (4, 4s, 5, 5c, 5s) in 2019 as daily drivers.

The surround speakers on the XS generation are amazing

    Posted: 11 Jan 2019 01:13 AM PST

I don't think this has been mentioned enough. I fancied watching Age of Ultron on my iPhone XS a while ago but was too lazy to get my headphones.

Goddamn I can somehow "see" where the sound is coming from. With headphones, a slight tilt of your head and there's a little mismatch between the audio in your ears and the visual in your eyes. Using the speakers, the audio sounds like it's coming from where the visual is happening (e.g. the sound from an explosion comes exactly where in the screen the explosion is).

Dolby Atmos demo or basically any action movie can do if you want to try it.

Carrying two phones: worth the hassle?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2019 06:03 AM PST

Hey guys. I have an iPhone 7 plus from work and I consider getting a secondary private Android phone. I'm a bit worried that I will get tired of it, carrying them both physically with me (just annoying in the pockets?) and also to jungle between them: calls here, emails there, messaging there etc.

What's your take on it? Any experienced 2-phones users to share? How do you guys do it? Is it annoying etc?

    Thanks!

iMessage with same number + foreign data SIM - possible?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2019 04:57 AM PST

    Hi all :-)

I'll be visiting some family in Spain in a couple weeks, and by far the cheapest option for data is to buy a local prepaid SIM. However, I intend to keep using iMessage with my local number... Is this possible? If not - is there any workaround, or settings I can change?

    Thanks in advance :-)

I just knew the XS and XR have a power reserve mode so you can still use Apple Pay when you're out of battery

    Posted: 11 Jan 2019 09:31 AM PST

I watched a demo of it and it works without any authorization. You just put the phone near the reader and payment is accepted. Couldn't someone find a lost iPhone that's by chance also dead and just use Apple Pay without any need for PIN/face authorization?

What is the best low cost macro lens for iPhone XR

    Posted: 10 Jan 2019 04:42 PM PST

I've noticed some come in sets with other lens types too, bonus if there's a selection?

I'd like to get into some decent photography with my new XR and am specifically hoping to get some better up close shots of my newborn baby rabbits. I can get decent photos but I'd like to get some really nice close ups. Thanks

Where is a good place to buy a decent iPhone cable?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2019 09:59 AM PST

I typically buy cheap iPhone cables that work for a few weeks, but I would like to buy a decent one now that does not cost $50.

I typically like to buy them at a longer length as well.

Is there a known site or product that is known to have good quality cables?

Help! I need to fix an iPhone 5s.

    Posted: 11 Jan 2019 09:33 AM PST

So my son has an iPhone 5s. It started doing this weird thing where it would get bumped and restart. Then we noticed that it just needed a little torsion to do it. Now it boots to the apple screen then the screen goes blank and you have to force reboot. It seems like a loose something. I opened it up and made sure all the connections were secure, re-seated the display, etc. I am both in-between work and have a bunch of contracting clients who aren't paying their bills so I don't have the money to get him a new phone. If I don't fix it, his biological dad will likely buy him one, set up control on it and start tracking the family. (This is the only real reason we give our kids iPhones, stupid divorce games with sociopath ex's suck) Anyway, If anyone out there knows how to diagnose issues with these things and can help me out it would mean a great deal to me and my family. Thanks in advance.

Battery issues after updating to iOS 12

    Posted: 11 Jan 2019 09:27 AM PST

I have an iPhone 5S that runs pretty well. It was on iOS 10.3.3 but I had to update to iOS 12 to be able to use my LTE Data. I've noticed since the update that the battery Life decreased significantly. How can I fix it ?

Also, if I go back to iOS 10.3.3, will I still be able to use my LTE or do I need to stay on iOS 12 ?

    Thanks for help.

Using iMessage on my iPad is quickly depleting my iPhone's battery. What can I do about this?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2019 09:27 AM PST

I usually use my iPad at my desk and text people with that, but since it's connected to my phone, my phone's battery life is suffering because of it. Is there any way I can fix this? :/
