What is the best ad block for iPad? Posted: 11 Jan 2019 08:55 AM PST There is so many on the App Store, I don't want to guess. From your guys experience, which works the best? [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Jan 2019 08:05 AM PST I know practically half this sub is already just talking about keyboards but I just wanted to get a sense of what everyone is using. My dilemma right now is that I bought the smart keyboard folio for the 2018 iPad pro and I don't love it. It's too bulky and I hate that keyboard side doesn't fully stick to the iPad. Keys on the back in tablet mode isn't great either. Since I don't do writing ALL the time, I am thinking of just returning the smart keyboard folio for the regular folio and finding a setup that is purpose-built for keyboarding when I need it. Additional question: Has anyone tried the Logitech Keys to Go? It's at the top of my list right now. [link] [comments]
Other than Notability, is there another note taking app that can create PDF's with accurate margins? Posted: 11 Jan 2019 11:42 AM PST OneNote has one giant screen, so you can't fix the margins. Are there other options? Basically I just want to take notes on a full sized paper to submit as an assignment. I know notability has this feature, but $10 to get ONE feature is a tough ask. Anyone else know of another app? [link] [comments]
Did manufacturers stop making iPad compatible keyboards that don't include a cover? Posted: 11 Jan 2019 01:56 PM PST My mother has used a 2012 iPad for years now and just got a new 2017 model for christmas. She used a Logitech detachable keyboard that latched onto the iPad with magnets and was really happy with it. I've been trying to find something similar for her new device but it seems like all I can find are these bulky covers that also include a keyboard (Logitech Slim for example). [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Jan 2019 01:01 PM PST Just got a 12.9 Ipad Pro and today, I was redoing my notes. From 100% down to 10% in 5hrs of heavy use, max brightness, splitview between notability and iBooks. Is this okay? [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Jan 2019 12:56 PM PST The double tap feature on my Apple Pencil is no longer working. Is there any fix, or should I just exchange? [link] [comments]
Typing experience on the Mini is very bad Posted: 11 Jan 2019 09:07 AM PST I've been using the Mini 4 as my main computing device for about 2 years. I own a PC but hardly ever turn it on, but I find myself turning it on now whenever I need to write a longer post or quote multiple sentences. With iOS updates it has only gotten worse, with what feels like spaced out keys that results in many typos. Don't even get me started on using the brackets to highlight parts of a paragraph, it almost feels like a miracle when it actually selects what I want it to. Is it just me? I can't understand how Apple could let such a main component of the Ipad be so awful. Anytime I want to type something these days I just feel burdened. [link] [comments]
Best secondary display app for Windows? Posted: 11 Jan 2019 08:11 AM PST Wired or wireless doesn't matter much to me but it seems like a lot of the focus on secondary display apps are paired with Macs. Sadly my company forces me to use a PC. What's the best of the options for PC? If it helps, I'm using a first gen 12.9" iPad Pro [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Jan 2019 03:46 AM PST Greetings, Both 11 and 13 keyboard specs say its a "full size keyboard" but does any of those mimic exact layout and size of apple wireless keyboard? I think i developed a strong muscle memory for typing and can't use any other keyboard, so the above would be great to know. Thank you! [link] [comments]

iPad came with a small dent near the top microphone, can’t return it as I need it, question below. Posted: 11 Jan 2019 09:14 AM PST Hello! I received my iPad Pro 11 today in the mail and the closest Apple Store near me is about a 2 hour drive away. If I get Apple Care on it (which I was planning on getting anyway), will they swap out for cosmetic damage in the future? My brand new IPP 1 came with a small dent on the top of it, what seems like a scratch at the microphone going onwards. It doesn't impact usability at all but I paid $1,000 for this tablet and it has cosmetic damage. School starts tomorrow and I absolutely need it. If I get Apple Care on it, in a few months can I get a replacement from Apple, and if I do, will it be brand new? [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Jan 2019 03:25 AM PST I'm starting the second semester of my graduate program, and am looking for a better note taking app. Between this semester, my dissertation this summer and a potential Phd in the future, I do tons of reading; mostly on my ipad and almost exclusively pdfs. I've used the acrobat app but it does not offer much in terms of functionality. Does anyone else experience with other apps? Since I will get tons of use out of it I am willing to pay for it. I would like the ability to bookmark important passages in the pdf, and better interface with icloud. Any suggestions are appreciated. [link] [comments] |
