Series 4 owners: avoid ZAGG glass screen protector Posted: 04 Jan 2019 10:06 PM PST I work for a ZAGG franchise and we just got these news from corporate. They suffer from a touch issue caused by the adhesive used, which has poor static resistance. When the watch is worn with this screen protector installed, an "electric loop" (whatever ZAGG means by that) is created and touch will not register. The only way the watch will work normally is if you take it off or wear it loosely. If you were thinking of getting one, don't. The only one from ZAGG that works at this time is the HD/HD Ultra/HD Clear (depending on where you buy it) TPU film. If you already have the glass, you probably know what I'm talking about. You should start a support claim with ZAGG and downgrade it to HD, or take it to a physical franchise (branded as either ZAGG or CPR Cell Phone Repair) to do so. [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Jan 2019 08:01 AM PST Any way to mute the sound from turning off the water lock? All of my other sounds on the watch are already muted. [link] [comments]
Is there a feature or app you wish for? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 05:29 AM PST Anything at all? Existing services that don't have apps, apps that don't have Apple Watch versions or totally new features and or services for the watch Be interested to hear your answers [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jan 2019 06:49 AM PST I'm sorry to post about this. Believe me I've searched all the threads and have read everything that's been posted about these. But I cannot for the life of me get these things to stick on the edges. I've gone through 4 out of my box. I've watched the video and have followed it exactly. I've used my hair dryer...I let my watch sit all day yesterday and last night and still woke up to raised edges and started the process all over again today. I just got this watch on Thursday and am so anxious to wear it. Yes I have AppleCare but I still want a screen protector and everyone seems to love these. What am I doing wrong!? Possible I have a defective box? Help me please. [link] [comments]
Time in the Bezel of the infographic watchface Posted: 04 Jan 2019 08:24 PM PST So while building out the watch app for the weight tracking app I recently released. I saw a few developers talking about date and time using the text area of the top sub-dial complication on the new infographic watchface. Thought it was a great idea so I built it into my app. Plan to add more settings later (currently it's just a 12hr clock), but hoping more apps utilize this space for things like this. I love this watchface, but it's so hard to read the time with all the complication I want on it. http://brianminor.com/2019/01/04/obtain-apple-watch-app-now-available-%f0%9f%8e%89/ [link] [comments]
Posted: 05 Jan 2019 08:09 AM PST So I exchanged my watch again...my last was the SS silver, came with watchOS 5.1.1. I exchanged it because my OCD hated the screen, I dunno if I just lucked out but the new one which is a SB SS and came with 5.1.2 out of the box has 0 uneven brightness issues. Did testing with those grey backgrounds in a pitch dark room as soon as I got home [link] [comments]
Posted: 04 Jan 2019 11:13 PM PST Hey all, Anyone aware of any rugged cases that allow for the ECG function to continue working? I want to be able to touch the crown, and for the electrodes on the back of my watch to be able to have skin contact. I looked at a few but most seem to prevent either one or both of the areas from making contact with skin. Any suggestions would be appreciated! Cheers [link] [comments]

Posted: 05 Jan 2019 07:10 AM PST Hi all! Recently joined the Apple Watch club and while I love the official bands (I bought two already, oops!), I would like to buy a couple third-party bands. Are there any reputable silicone bands on Amazon or are they all YMMV? I'm worried that they'll break/have read some reviews about skin irritations. Any experience with the cheap bands out there? Metal strap with micro adjustments? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 07:05 AM PST I always seem to be between links on metal bands. Are there any good ones for Apple watch with micro adjustments? [link] [comments]

Has the official charging cables that are sold separately always been stainless steel? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 05:25 AM PST Bought a spare charging cable for the road and noticed that the charging puck was stainless steel on the product page. Thought it was just a mistake, but lo and behold it was a nice stainless steel one when it came in. Is this a recent change or has it always been like this? Makes me wonder why they still include the white plastic ones with aluminum Apple Watches if they can afford to sell the stainless steel ones for as low as $30, so I'm assuming for now it's an upgrade. Help me buds! Recommendations plz for apps/how to use watch to make life easier. Posted: 04 Jan 2019 06:13 PM PST So I got an apple watch primarily to help me after a traumatic brain injury last year. Basically my memory is shot and I have trouble concentrating and get dizzy/need to lie down a lot, so I need something I can do stuff with from bed, and also help me stay on task and not get overwhelmed so easily. Got an s3 lte, and so far it's good, but I don't have many apps or knowledge about it yet. Main thing I need help with is - apps. I get overwhelmed scrolling through a million apps that look the same and kinda do the same things. So if anyone has an recos of apps that do these things, plz lmk (ones that work without iphone nearby are preferred, cuz I forget it a lot. A lot a lot. But I'm starting to understand most apps don't do that yet) - sleep tracking - blood pressure tracking with notes (in iphone health data u can add bp #s, but there's no where to write what was going on or symptoms. ie. 'ate food, feel dizzy') - notes - to do list that you can check off from watch (maybe one that tells you the next step to do? is that possible?) - water and/or med tracker - workout app (like i can input my list of moves and then it shows me what's next in a routine? same with stretches? some sort of timer that lets u know every 30s you've held a stretch??) - anything else? i feel like i'm forgetting some. and just any advice anyone has for how a watch has made their day/life easier? i just started using siri when i got the watch, and i thought that would be super helpful, but i'm learning it can't do as much as i thought. (ie. check off reminders or edit them or google stuff without phone). i use a lot of timers and voice dictation for texts is helpful so far. [link] [comments]
Missing complications on Infograph Modular Posted: 04 Jan 2019 08:01 PM PST Is there a reason why complications such as stopwatch aren't available for the Infograph Modular? I noticed that the Modular face allows more complications, for example. [link] [comments]
How intrusive are your watch notifications ? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 04:39 AM PST Hi All Just curious to know, how many users allow their Apple watch to receive all notifications or just selected ones. Personally what's on my iPhone is on my watch , primarily because I don't like the idea of my phone beepiy all the time when wearing my watch. Look forward to your responses. [link] [comments]
Question about Nike Sport Loop Posted: 04 Jan 2019 11:52 PM PST Does anyone else feel like their Nike Sport Loop is loose on their S4 Nike Edition? Is that suppose to happen or did I happen to get a defective band? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Locked out due to split Email accounts? Posted: 05 Jan 2019 03:13 AM PST I have my mother my Apple Watch series 3 she upgraded to the 4 and wanted to give me the 3 back to make some extra cash. When I went to reset it, it told me to sign out using her old @mac.com email but a few months ago she was forced to use @icloud.com. Ive used the password from her old @mac.com account and her new passwords from @icloud.com and it will not work... any ideas? Do I need to go with her to the apple store to have them reset it? Posted: 04 Jan 2019 06:45 PM PST Found someone on eBay selling a few at list price. Ordered one right away! I wear one daily and was bummed when I realized the color was discontinued. Been on the lookout for a spare. Found and ordered! In case anyone was a fan of the color like me and wanted one or another, looks like the seller has a few left! https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F223310061378 [link] [comments]
