Posted: 10 Jan 2019 11:58 AM PST I finally pulled the trigger and picked up a Series 4 today. What are some apps you guys would recommend? For some insight I'm 20, male, work in retail and am currently training for the military. [link] [comments]
Apple Watch users: DAE look at their watch for the temperature more often than the time? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 08:48 PM PST I noticed today that I check my Apple Watch for the current temperature more than the time, which I though was funny. I love being able to glance at my wrist to see how cold it is out there (in the northeastern US). Just curious if anyone else does this... [link] [comments]
Posted: 11 Jan 2019 06:39 AM PST ideally something that will sync to reminders/notes... Cheers [link] [comments]
It's time Apple fixes the damn notification mirroring for group chats. Posted: 10 Jan 2019 05:24 PM PST This issue has been reported tons of times based on simple google searching. You put a group chat on do-not-disturb on your iPhone and it works fine, but the stupid apple watch continues to give you useless notifications if the group chat has any android users. Fix this crap. Reports of this problem go back to 2015. Pathetic. [link] [comments]
The apple watch needs to get wifi syncing Posted: 10 Jan 2019 09:52 PM PST Syncing music and podcasts is so painfully slow. I don't even care if it uses a few percent of my battery doing it if it can power up the wifi module and get it over with in a few minutes instead of waiting a minute per song basically. Also the requirement of being on the charger is ridiculous, I would much prefer just being able to do it and suffer the battery loss, which I'm not sure would be that big of a deal anyway if done over wifi (given the whole race to sleep it could very well be possible to use less power and just get it over with quickly) [link] [comments]

Change vibrate pattern for certain apps? Posted: 11 Jan 2019 07:39 AM PST Hi folks, I have been using different email clients off and on for a while but I've come back around to just using the built-in mail app. The issue I'm having is that the vibrate pattern is the same as the text pattern. Up until now my texts have had a long-short-short pattern, and everything else has had long-short-short-long. But now mail and texts have long-short-short and I keep thinking someone has texted me when I get an email. I can't see a way to change this anywhere, am I missing something? Thanks! Apple Watch warranty on light bleed Posted: 11 Jan 2019 07:16 AM PST I showed the Apple reps regarding the light bleeding I had on my AW 4 and they told me it is part of the UI or something. But I told them that if it was part of the UI, it should change sides when the screen rotates but they keep telling me it's normal. They said I can leave it for further testing. I'm worried that they will tamper with it or open it then return it to me saying it's normal. What should I do? And if ever they return it to me without replacing it, what signs should I check for if they opened the device? Thanks a lot! [link] [comments]

How do I get back notifications for an app? Posted: 11 Jan 2019 06:57 AM PST Since last version of the Watch OS, you can force touch a notification and choose if you want it to notify you in the background from now on or not at all. I chose not at all, because I needed some pause from that app. Now I need those notifications back, but I can't make them return. Can't find any options in the settings. How? [link] [comments]
Does iPhone have to be online for Watch to receive messages/calls? Posted: 11 Jan 2019 05:58 AM PST Currently, my Samsung has to be turned on and connected via either cellular or WiFi in order for my Samsung watch to use text/calls. For instance, if I leave the house and only take the Samsung watch, I currently have to make sure my Samsung phone is powered on. Does the Apple Watch work the same way? [link] [comments]

Why in the world can't the Apple Watch add items to a Reminders list? Posted: 11 Jan 2019 01:32 AM PST If I tell Siri on the Watch to "Add milk to the grocery list", it'll just say I don't have any grocery list. When I say the same thing to Siri on my iPhone, it'll add milk to my grocery list in Reminders just fine. Now, if Reminders were completely incompatible with Apple Watch, it'd be kinda fair, but Reminders is an Apple Watch app. So it seems silly that Siri refuses to cooperate. Speaking of Reminders, why does it have an app on the Apple Watch, but no complication? [link] [comments]
Should I get the 44mm or 42mm S4? Posted: 11 Jan 2019 05:12 AM PST Edit: I fucked up the title, meant 44mm or 40mm... A friend lent me his S2 42mm for some days to see if I should get an Apple Watch myself. Since I really like it but the S4, which I would like to get, has different sizes I am not sure which one I should get. If it matters, I would like to get the Nike one in black. Looking for a calendar/timetable app to suit my needs, any suggestions? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 09:35 PM PST So I do a lot of work from home, and have been trying to find a good app to schedule my day so I force my self to work on one project at a time. For instance I want to set 10:00am to 12:00pm for Commissioned work 1:00pm - 3:00pm for personal projects, etc. Now I have been trying out using apple's calendar, as well as 'Class Timetable' and they work great, except for one little issue that really annoys me. I use the infographic modular face on my Apple Watch series 4, and i want the middle area to show me what task i should be working on in this moment, however, both timetable's and apple calendar only show me what the next upcoming event is. Even if I have several hours left of the task I should currently be doing. I want to be able to look at my watch and see "Oh I should be working on commissioned projects right now" but instead it tells me the movie i'm seeing in the evening. TL;DR: I'm looking for an app that lets me set blocks of time that show up on my watch face, instead of current apps I use that only show me the next upcoming event. [link] [comments]

Some notifications appear but do not vibrate on my watch Posted: 11 Jan 2019 01:01 AM PST There are a few that I don't care about (Goodreads is one) but I really need Slack to actually vibrate when I receive a notification. I can't determine why it's not. It's set up to mirror my phone and my phone has always vibrated. Is there a particular setting I should check? [link] [comments]

Posted: 11 Jan 2019 12:30 AM PST I'm reading 100 different things about this and want to know if there is an update. Bought a "like new" Apple series 4 Cellular watch that was on ATT. The watch is connected to my Apple ID and no issues with the features. However online, on through the app it says Verizon does not recognized this device. Am I SOL on the ATT to Verizon switch? The watch has been removed from the ATT plan. I've read 100 mixed things on the internet. [link] [comments]
[UK] my love story with my Apple Watch has reached its end - where can I sell it? Posted: 10 Jan 2019 11:37 PM PST At title, really. I have worn my Watch since gen0, and am currently sporting an s3 GPS - but it is time for it to go. Where would you recommend selling it for the best possible price? Musicmagpie are giving £160... not sure if that's too low, though. What about selling a selection of bands? [link] [comments]

How to clean Apple Watch Nylon Band (Pride) Posted: 10 Jan 2019 10:14 PM PST Hi, I bought the new Apple Watch Pride band in July and it got more greyish since. Does anyone know what's the best way to give it back the nice clean white look? Thanks [link] [comments] |
