    For many years , I ran the family devices using one iTunes/ App Store Apple ID. Each person had their own personal ID for iMessage etc.

    This worked pretty well , in so much that an app / movie / book etc could be bought once and easily downloaded onto each device as needed.

    I moved to family sharing maybe a year ago to take advantage of shared iCloud storage.

    The problem is that the sharing of purchased apps / movies / games etc is now not so easy.

    If I purchase a movie . Then my wife goes into iTunes , the same move appears to her with a charge...

    To get the movie for free she has to delve way into several menus. She has to click "more" , then "purchased" , then click my name , then "films".

    Only then will the option appear to get the movie for free.

    But to do this , she has to KNOW I already bought the film...

    My point here is , Apple should offer the film for free straight up. But they are obfuscating the purchase to gain multiple sales.

    I would love the option to have your pinned notes be displayed in the Notes widget, rather than your three most recents.

    Blood Pressure Monitor?

    I'm looking for a device that connects to my iPhone via bluetooth and inputs BP to the Health App. The few that I have looked at require a userID at the manufacturer web site and an upload to their 'cloud'.

    Not interested in my data moving around "the cloud" and I'm very selective about the data I have in iCloud.

    Anyone know of a device that will directly interface with the Health App. One app, suggested by the Health App, Qardio, received poor ratings from some of the articles I have read. And apparently their device also sends info to their servers.

    It seems to me that if I want auto-input to my phone there are no solutions that will do that and not otherwise collect my data.

    Any suggestions?

    App to maintain photo library?

    I am looking for an app to maintain and clean up my photo library (~10k photos).

    • Find and review duplicates/similar photos
    • Find and review blurry/unsharp/dark photos
    • Mass remove of Live Photo from selected photos
    • ...

    Any recommendations?

    Where do they store the raw files?

    My DSLR raw files are really large, so I am worried it will pill up in my system in places I don't know.

    Are they stored in photos just like any other photos? Or are they stored in the app?

    Are the Raw and JPG files the same file?

    It seem like the raw file contains the RAW and JPG version for compatibility, does that mean there are two separate files that I need to get rid of when I delete a photo? Or they are both gone when I delete them?

    How to disable notifications waking up the screen when locked?

    Hey, I'm a longtime Android user and just switched to my first iOS device a few days ago and am loving it so far. Just one thing that annoys me a far and it's whenever I receive a notification whilst the screen is locked it will wake the display for a few seconds then go back to sleep. I don't really know much about iOS and how to disable this as this isn't something that happens on android and is quite annoying personally. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks!

    Secure albums/folders are needed

    I've been thinking about this and was surprised that third party apps have access to all albums when you give it permission to access your photo library.

    I think giving album specific permissions is overkill but the hidden album should be protected or at lease given a second level of permission management. This wouldn't be an intrusive change but it would certainly make me trust iOS handling of my images a lot better.

    On top of this I would also like iOS to allow password protected folders and albums, this way you would need a second level of authentication to see and access sensitive documents and/or your latest dick pix.

    My EarPods work fine I tried them on another phone and it worked, but to make it work on my phone I have to put pressure from the back of the male jack towards my screen (so my finger from the back of the phone on the EarPods putting pressure towards me) anyway to fix this or is it broken? (I have apple care plus)

    Clicking camera in iMessage and screen goes black

    I've been having this issue since the original iOS 12 beta. I will click on the camera icon on iMessage and the camera animation will start but instantly it goes away and I'm back on the chat screen. It does this like 3-4 times and it MIGHT actually let me select or take a pic but usually I force close iMessage if it happens more than 4 times.

    I found it happens more in group messages but it happens in 1 on 1 messages as well.

    Anyone else been dealing with this?
