Best Buy - Classic Buckle for 42mm in stock! Posted: 02 Dec 2018 06:13 AM PST I've been trying to get my hands on some of the classic buckle bands for my S4 SS watch and was disappointed that Apple doesn't carry them anymore. I've wanted the saddle color but haven't been able to find it anywhere other than some sketchy eBay ones (no packaging direct from China). All retailers have been out of stock but Best Buy must have gotten a new shipment as they have saddle and black available for shipping as well as the last spring colors for anyone interested. Answered a ton of my questions when I first got my watch. Posted: 01 Dec 2018 07:50 PM PST Sorry if this has been posted before, but I had no idea what the icons; like the red dot meant. https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT205550 Hopefully this'll help someone else. [link] [comments]
Iphone wireless charger with a slot for watch charger Posted: 02 Dec 2018 06:28 AM PST Hi guys, ive just ordered my first apple watch and im looking for a combo charger. I'd love to have a thing that has a Qi charger for my Xs (slow one, its gonna be used for night charging) and a slot for watch charger, preferably that would allow nightstand mode. I dont really want to have two separate chargers for ip and aw, id rather have them combined. https://www.belkin.com/us/p/P-F8J234/ something like this but more affordable, it doesnt have to include the watch charger, just a slot for the one im gonna get with the watch itself Do such things exist? Thanks in advance for some names and links dudes! :D [link] [comments]
Thanks Apple Watch for saving me Posted: 01 Dec 2018 10:06 AM PST This summer I caught shingles after returning from a trip to Mexico. It started with raging headaches and then progressed to vomiting and nausea. This went on and kept getting worse and I kept thinking if I could just hold out I would turn the corner and get better. Then the left half if my head felt like it was on fire, with a rash breaking out. I could barely sleep and was and taking painkillers and was really no longer in my right mind, just trying to survive. My condition grew worse until one morning I felt weak and out of my mind sick and I had a really bad feeling about things. I had been wretching and not eating for so long I had become dangerously dehydrated. I looked around for my iPhone and when I found it it was completely dead. I live up in the hills and there was no other way of calling or neighbor around. I found my Apple Watch on the dresser and it had 10% battery charge left. I held down the button under the crown and it called 911 and a few minutes later a fire and ambulance crew arrived. I was shaking and incoherent and spent several days in the hospital recovering. I am pretty sure my Apple Watch may have saved my life, I was in a very bad situation and didn't have the strength or reasoning to save myself at that point. My Apple Watch was literally a lifeline and I don't know what I would have done without it. [link] [comments]
Considering buying a Series 4 for running, need some help! Posted: 02 Dec 2018 03:25 AM PST Hello there! I never had an Apple Watch before and i consider buying one for running. Do you know if it's possible to pair my AirPod with it and listen to music while leaving my iPhone at home? Thanks for the input, have a great day! [link] [comments]
Anyone else had trouble adding the home app as a complication? Posted: 02 Dec 2018 02:55 AM PST I've found I'm unable to add the home app/shortcut as a complication to the infograph watch face. When it's added in the Apple Watch app, it shows blank on the watch face as seen here I've tried a reboot on the watch & my phone, tried unpairing & repairing my watch but this hasn't fixed it either. My screenshot feature won’t work Posted: 02 Dec 2018 07:26 AM PST I have the screenshot option set to on but when I try to take a screenshot on my watch by pressing the two side buttons at the exact same time it registers that I pressed the Digital Crown and that I pressed the side button after so it opens all my recent apps used and doesn't take a screenshot and it has been like this since I got my watch last December any suggestions. Posted: 02 Dec 2018 01:01 AM PST Morning all, I recently came back to the apple ecosystem and I'm running an apple watch 4 with cellular. I just went for my first run with the new watch, Nike running club installed, all permissions set to on. Went out with just the watch, no phone. Started the run and then paused it when I got home, (no option shown to end it). Watch doesn't show a run as still being active but no data has been synced to the running club app. Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Thank you... [link] [comments]

Why is music control on the Apple Watch still such a complete shit show?? Posted: 02 Dec 2018 05:39 AM PST I mean seriously. They've had 3 and a half years to get this shit sorted. And after three and a half years, I am GUESSING at various music complications and hoping they will lead me to where I want to go. I go in circles. From music stored on my watch, to airplay sources, to playback sources to fucking tomato sauces. It's a joke. Siri control is now absolutely absysmal. It used to work when I asked to play a track or an album or even an artist! Now all I get is: Hold on... One Moment.. Just a Sec... I'll tap you when I'm ready... Hmm I'm having trouble playing that... One of the main reasons I bought the watch in the first place is for music control. Right now this shit is a big of a mess as ever. Thanks for reading my rant. To all Pillow App users that feel energetic and rested after waking up: how look your stats Posted: 02 Dec 2018 02:24 AM PST I feel exactly the opposite and I try to figur out why. I suffer from fatigue during the day, expecially at work which is making life quite difficult sometimes. Even with exercise and sleeping for 8h i feel very tired throughout the day and mentally exhausted. I´m tracking my sleep since recently with Pillow to see how my sleep quality is and it would be very interesting to compare the results with people who feel rested and full with energy. Here are my stats from last night, it looks very similar to this during the week, quality is mostly between 70%-80%, the sleep cycles itself mostly look like no longer than 20mins.. is that normal ? Today: sleep quality 80%, 6h40mins, 1% awake - 42% light sleep - 25% REM - 32% deep sleep [link] [comments]
Pairing two Apple Watches to one iPhone Posted: 01 Dec 2018 11:55 AM PST I learned something today and searched this sub to see if it had been posted before, and either the search engine was down, or it has not. So I thought I would post, hoping it might be helpful for others. I received an S4 Black Aluminum 44 AW for my cake day yesterday. I have had a S0 AW since it came out in May of 2015. It was working fine, but the upgrade to the S4 is so significant (as has been well documented here) that I *might* have dropped a big hint with my tech-tolerant wife about it, and she came through. One thing I've been using my AW for recently - thanks to app guidance on this sub - has been tracking my sleep using the AutoSleep app. It has been helpful to have a record of my good and bad night's sleep, so I can work on improving that in my life. When I was considering the S4, I looked at what the S0 could get in a trade-in value, and it was a measly $25. Well, the old one is worth much more than that to me, so I decided that if I got an S4, I would keep the S0. As some have noted here, you can keep the old watch and just use it for a sleep tracker, switching the watches on the charger in the evening before bed, and in the morning before the work day. (Yes, I know the battery on the S4 with relatively short charging periods - such as when you are in the shower - can be made to last all day and all night, but I thought it might be easier to just switch them, and I've been trying to find a use for the S0). As you all know, when you purchase a new Apple product, they send you an email indicating that you are entitled to an online setup/features review session with an Apple Tech. I never take advantage of that - I don't really need it, being a pathetic hard-core Apple fan boy for many years - but thought I would in this case mostly for curiosity as to what the tech might tell or show me about the new watch. I set that up for this morning. I got on the line with the tech, and we started to set up the new watch. The Watch app on my Xr would not pair with the new watch. I'd click "Pair New Watch" and it did nothing. Tech was stumped, but then I explained that I still had the old watch paired, and he said, "Well that's the problem - you have to unpair the old watch. You can't have two watches paired to the same phone." That seemed inconsistent with what I had heard of others on this sub who were using their old watch as a sleep tracker and the new one for the daytime. I asked the tech again, and he said: "No, it's impossible to pair two Apple watches to the same phone." I quickly got the idea that citing the tech to this sub, YouTube, or any other source wasn't going anywhere, and so I just (politely) wrapped things up in the session with him. I searched around here, and as noted above, didn't find anything (the search engine might have been down when I was searching, I got an odd "Reddit can't find anything for you" message that I haven't seen before). So I checked that I had a recent backup of my phone data (including the watch data), and unpaired the old watch (the S0). Then the pairing of the new watch (the S4) worked just fine, and as expected. Backup restored to new watch, all is good. (Love the bigger screen, look forward to messing around with InfoGraph). *Then* I went through the pairing process with the old watch (the S0). Worked fine, also restored from the backup on the phone. I now have two watches paired to the same phone. I put the S0 back on the charger, and put the new one on my wrist (with the Horizon Blue strap - no, I won't post a picture of it with my hairy arm, even though I am in the camp that doesn't mind those pics, or skips over them when I don't feel like seeing someone else's new watch). And then I go to the Watch app on my phone, and see that - after I clicked on the watch currently paired (the S4), it also lists the S0 with a checkbox checked by the S4 and not the S0. Above the pictures of those two watches, it has an *Auto Switch* on or off button, which is on by default. So when I switch watches on my wrist the phone syncs with that watch - automatically. TL;DR: You *can* pair two watches to the same phone, but you have to unpair the old one first and then pair the new one, and then re-pair the old one, and then after that you can switch between them automatically. Anyone having trouble installing apps on the Apple Watch Posted: 02 Dec 2018 01:37 AM PST Hey, for some reason I cannot download apps onto my watch. In the Watch app on my iPhone I go into the store and when I hit download it only downloads on my phone and nothing comes up in the available apps section to install. Backordered Gold SS 44mm Series 4 from AT&T Posted: 02 Dec 2018 12:59 AM PST I ordered the Gold SS 44mm Series 4 Watch from AT&T on my existing watch line as an upgrade on October 3rd. I specifically want to do the installment plan on the watch, which is why I haven't been checking Apple themselves for availability. My original delivery date was November 15-23. Those dates have come and gone, and now my order doesn't even have estimated delivery dates on it anymore. I'd like to think that I'm in some sort of queue to eventually have one shipped to me, so I don't want to cancel and reorder, but as I see the delivery dates on the AT&T website slip further into the future, I'm becoming more and more skeptical that I'll ever get the watch. 😂 It'll be 2 months tomorrow since I ordered it. Has anyone else ordered this particular watch and is still waiting for it? [link] [comments]
