Apple TV 4K doesn’t support Netflix’ interactive content Posted: 28 Dec 2018 06:06 AM PST Woke up, wanted to check out the new interactive Black Mirror episode. Bam. "Device isn't supported." Just a heads up [link] [comments] |
Can’t add Apple TV to Home App Posted: 29 Dec 2018 01:35 AM PST Been trying to add my Apple TV to the Home app. The Home setup was made by someone else, but I've got full remote access/edit rights as a Guest. Whenever I go into the Apple TV AirPlay settings to select a room, it only creates a new household, rather than joining the existing one. I've logged in and out of iCloud, setup AirPlay 2 multiple times (the other Apple TV in the household is already on that, but via the main admin account), and tried adding through the "Add Accessory > Don't have a code or can't scan" option in the Home App (which results in a "Could not connect" error every time). I'm utterly baffled as to why it's so difficult to add an Apple TV to an existing home as a different user. [link] [comments] |
iTunes Movies is cropping content without my consent. Does anyone know how to fix this? Posted: 29 Dec 2018 01:20 AM PST So I just watched Casablanca on iTunes which has an aspect ratio of 1.37:1 (close to 4:3), however when I played it it was cropped in to fill the 16:9 screen. I have no overscan on my TV and couldn't find any video setting to fix this. Has anyone else noticed this or knows how to fix it? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Dec 2018 02:44 PM PST Hi everyone, I'm trying to watch Top Chef on the bravo app on my apple TV. I know I'll have to sign in with my TV provider subscription, but every time I try to do this, the link generated on the TV screen takes me to a webpage that says " That code is invalid. Generate a new one on your Apple TV " Anyone have this problem or have a solution? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Siri Remote: Turn on/off TCL 55R617 Posted: 28 Dec 2018 01:44 PM PST I just recently purchased the TCL Series 6 55R617 and a new Apple TV 4K, and I can't figure out how to get the Siri Remote to turn the TV on/off; I can use the remote to control the volume of a Sonos Beam soundbar. With my previous Samsung plasma, I used the Siri remote to turn the TV on/off, boot into Apple TV, control volume, etc. Any tips? Thanks! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 28 Dec 2018 01:43 PM PST Hey! Got a new ATV4K for Xmas, and I had the 2nd gen so I figured this setup would be a breeze. Nope. Anyone have any ideas for this issue? The remote won't pair. At all. I can do a reset by holding down the menu and home button, but menu & + does nothing on the set up screen. Unplugged it for a minute, charged the remote for two hours, held them in my hands face to face...nothing. Called apple support expecting an easy/obvious fix and was met with "send it back for a replacement". Any ideas or other members that have encountered the same issue? [link] [comments] |
