Posted: 14 Nov 2018 11:22 PM PST I can't tell you how many times I have forgotten to charge my phone at night and woken up with 20%, or a running out the door later in the day and it's about to die. buying a fast charger was a life changer. plug it in for 10 minutes, extra 15-20%. plug it in for 30, and i'm easily back to 50%. if you don't want to hand apple 90$ for the complete setup(I know I didn't), buy the authentic usb c to lightning cable from apple for 20$, and then pick up the 30w block that anker makes on amazon for 25$. seriously. buy it. you can thank me later. The picture quality is really good. I'm seeing so much more than what I see on my MacBook Pro. The darker areas are brighter on the XS. They show more detail. The colors are more vibrant and the blacks are pitch back. The MacBook's display looks washed out, the blacks look like dark grey and darker scenes just blend into the blacks (grey). I'll try to upload a picture of what I'm talking about. I know the screen is way smaller on the phone, but this image quality alone is making me watch videos on the phone more. When I get home I put my iphone on a charger stand (without the charger plugged in, unless it needs it). To wake the thing up -- for FaceID to work -- I have to swipe up a couple of times, then wait for FaceID to unlock (pretty quick). I find this quite irritating -- more steps than just jamming my thumb on the Home button. What might I be doing wrong, aside from whining about first world problems? [link] [comments]  | ||
