    What do thieves get out of a stolen iPhone?

    My fathers phone was stolen yesterday by a pickpocket on his way home. He reported it to the police and they said there is little chance he ll get it back. It was an iphone X with a code and face ID protection. So I was wondering what Thieves will actually do with a stolen iPhone that not even the FBI is able to unlock?

    He also used Find my iPhone, locked it there too and posted a message that there is a finder's fee if returned, in hopes that they will take the money, since they cant use it. However it's unclear if the message will ever get through, since the thief switched to phone off right away. The police also said, that it is very unlikely for it to be returned. So again I wonder why wouldnt the thief return it for money, if they cant use it otherwise?

    Something I noticed moving from my iPhone 6s to XR

    I've noticed the display whiteness isn't as white as my 6s's. What I mean is when going to the Reminders app for example, and I compare it with my 6s, the white on the 6s is more white than on my XR. I have True Tone turned off as well btw. I don't want to think anything is wrong, because the screen colors look great, it's just the color white that I notice a difference. Can anyone shed any light on this possible problem? Thanks!

    Buying iPhone XR on Amazon from Apple

    I just found out that Apple published on Amazon iPhone XR Red (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07K97BQDF). I have a few things, I'm wondering about..

    1. First thing that is strange, where is there only Red version?
    2. Is there any difference between buying iPhone on Amazon (by Apple) vs buying it at Apple Store?
    3. And lastly, will iPhone XR appear on Apple's Amazon as well? Is it just a matter of time?

    iPhone XS won’t charge past 80%

    Don't know if anyone else is having this issue, but it has been 2 days and my phone won't go past 80%. Left it on the charger all night while I slept and still stuck there.

    So lately my iPhone gets really hot from not so heavy tasks (internet browsing, looking at photos, music on speakers, etc). It's sometimes so hot it's uncomfortable to hold.

    It's an iPhone 8 Plus, I've had it since it was released and it started just recently.

    Anyone knows why it happens and how to fix it?

    Cellular data is grayed out in control center

    Whenever I try to disable cellular data from the control center it is grayed out stuck in the ON position. I can turn it on and off via settings -> cellular.

    Does anyone else have this issue? It's been an issue since upgrading to iOS 12 and I had the issue on my 8+ and now on my new X. I am on T-Mobile One plan if that helps but I don't think it matters.

    Fully charged battery indicator?

    Hello,this is a quick one and may seem a stupid one,but just wondering.I remember that when on charger and battery reaches a 100% on iOS the indicator changed from green with the lightning on it ,to white with a plug on it,which used to tell you that the battery is fully charged.I got the Xs max yesterday and just charged it now and it shows 100% ,but the indicator was still showing green with the charging symbol,even after about 30 minutes like this.Did Apple changed that or my phone is not fully charging..or a software issue maybe? Thanks.

    Long story short, I'm rockin an iPhone 7 plus. Haven't updated in a year and a half and decided to hop on to iOS 12.1 (still some regrets). After updating I've had numerous hiccups, and apparently now the phone checks its hardware on startup, and my mic is disabled.

    Should I fix it when I can (currently deployed), or bite the bullet and hop on a XS. Haven't really felt the urge to upgrade for the sake of upgrading lately. Want to see what y'all think as far as the notch, getting rid of Touch ID, 3D Touch, etc.
