    This is seriously the most active, yet dead sub I've ever seen. There is barely anything of quality on this page. Yes the amount of posts would die down but it's a test week for a reason.

    Welcome to r/AppleWatch. We are excited and thrilled that you are here. But first, there's a few things that you need to know about this sub and its members.

    1st - We don't need to see a picture of your shiny new series 4 apple watch, because we have seen it over, and over, and over again. Shit, quite a few of us just need to look down at our own wrists to see the beauty that is the series 4. So there's no need to post a picture of your hairy wrist with your new watch, because we are all quite tired of the "join the club" posts. Those types of posts add nothing new to this conversation.

    2nd - The upgrade from any previous generation apple watch to the series 4 is worth it, if you can afford it. So quit asking if its worth it to upgrade from series whatever. The series 4 is so much faster than the series 3, thus making it EVEN MUCH FASTER than previous generations. The screen real estate alone on the S4 along with the speed increase are justifications enough to upgrade. That is, if you can afford it. If you can't afford the new watch, then continue enjoying your current watch and stop asking us if the upgrade is worth it.

    3rd - If you have a question about the watch, just search the sub. If your first search doesn't turn up the results you're looking for, then by all means adjust the wording if your search and try again. There are plenty of threads regarding the most used apps on the apple watch, or the best place to buy 3rd party bands. JUST DO THE SEARCH. Just take the time to look into this vast subreddit and all it has to offer. All the "best apps for apple watch" and "best place for 3rd party bands" are all going to yield the same answers that a simple search would have provided.

    4th - Please share with us any new watch band combinations you haven't seen before. We have seen so many black sport bands on space gray aluminum watches or whatever out of the box combinations there are on this sub. Did you find a unique and different watch band and you feel like you need to show it off? Then please do!!! But if you bough a silver aluminum watch and paired it with a midnight blue sports band, then please refrain because we have seen it too many times.

    5th - Before you ask the opinion of the sub what we think about you wanting to return your apple watch to the store you bought it from because you happened to get a scratch across the screen, I hope you are well prepared for an onslaught of downvotes. It is beyond me why people in this sub expect a watch, that is worn on the wrist, to remain pristine after day 1. You wear it, you bump it, you hit it on things. Those of you who want to ask the rest of us if its ok to return the watch on day 13 because you got a scratch on it because you scraped it against a brick, go fuck yourself. Please refrain from purchasing further electronics of all types if you expect them to stay *mint* the moment you take them out of the box. Wear and tear is normal for these types of gadgets.

    Now that you have read all this, welcome to the world of apple watch. We appreciate honest and thoughtful conversations. We love people who want to discuss and rave about new apps they can't live without. But no, we don't want to see your fresh out of the box apple watch because they're a dime a dozen and we are over it.

    Using 42mm bands on S4

    Just switched from the 44mm band to the 42mm band on my S4 and felt a difference. Definitely feels smaller. Wondering if others felt that too and what u think of it?

    SS Series 4

    I smacked my watch into my work locker when a coworker ran into me with his bag. I was sure that I'd finally scuffed it up, but after wiping the paint off it's still shiny and scratch free. Stainless Steel Series 4 for the win. Edit: added the photos, I don't think they uploaded before.     Space Black Stainless Steel Series 2 vs Series 3

    Hey all. I'm planning to get a used SBSS. Decided on the series 2 as I do not need cellular. But in case I'm missing something (other than the red dot), I went to youtube trying to find a comparison between the S2 and S3 SBSS models based on aesthetics alone. Couldn't find such a video.

    Could someone fill me in? Are they identical?

    Battery

    Hi guys, have any of you experienced more battery usage when you're wearing a long sleeve shirt or a jacket that's covering the watch screen? I started wearing jackets since it's colder and noticed I have almost 3 hours of actual usage of the watch since last night when actually I haven t used for more than 10-15 minutes. Any ideas?

    LE: Turns out a restart solved my problem, I don't know what caused the drain, last night I updated a lot of apps, maybe an watch app update caused it.

    Apple Watch Upgrade Help

    I've got the first Apple Watch (generation 1, I believe it is referred to as) and it's slowly dying on me so I think it's time for an upgrade.

    I'm deciding between the Series 3 and 4, besides the obvious appearance differences, what would I truly be missing out on by not getting the Series 4?

    I only ask because the Series 3 is heavily discounted on Black Friday so I'm wondering if the features I'll be losing are worth the cost I'll be saving.

    Do any of you wear your watch whilst doing martial arts?

    I'm just wondering as currently I'm adding my martial arts sessions as a workout via my phone after doing them, and guessing the calorie count etc.....

    Obviously I can't wear them for the impact (sparring etc), but might start for the fitness portion of my classes...... but just interested to know if any of you do wear them under your boxing gloves etc?

    What on earth is with the battery life due to update? My watch’s battery is dying so quick

    I had to update my watch in order to use Strava for my run, what on earth is with the battery, has Apple mentioned anything regarding this issue or does the update automatically turn on something in the settings that I should turn off?

    Spotify Online and offline app!

    Hey, for all the Spotify users out there that want to play Spotify without your phone, an app called "Apollo for watch" allows you to do this, however, you need to have Spotify premium. This is great for all the premium users though. Hope I helped, I've been waiting for an app like this for ages and it's finally here. I know Spotify has now its own app but it doesn't allow any of this, this is a good alternative until Spotify updates their app.

    Spotify Battery Drain on S4

    My S4 battery has been fantastic. Love the watch. Last night I started a Sleep playlist from Spotify on my phone and AirPlayed to my HomePods. I noticed that the Spotify app on my watch automatically opened and was available to control the music (not Now Playing). I thought that was nice. Until I woke up and had 45% battery drained to Off in less than 6 hours. Granted when working out most will only need Spotify for an hour or two on the Watch, but Spotify has got to improve it's battery usage because Apple Music has minimal (or acceptable) effect on battery life.

    Anyone get a replacement from Apple Care for their Series 2 recently and get upgraded?

    Wondering if anyone got their Apple Watch series 2 fixed/replaced recently and got an upgrade to series 3? Not sure if they still have S2 in stock to give out.

    My screen and shell has some dents and scratches so I'd need to pay for the repair anyways. Not sure if I should do it if I only get an S2 back as I can use that money towards an upgrade
