Trying to reset ATV 4 software, going EXTREMELY SLOW when it works at all Posted: 20 Nov 2018 08:19 PM PST Title. Not just a slow internet connection either, as I tested Netflix on the same Apple TV and it works perfect in full HD. But when I try to reset the box and reinstall tvOS, I get this shit. Any ideas? Posted: 20 Nov 2018 09:09 PM PST I just bought the LG c8 and it's great - but the webOS is missing apps I use a lot like PS Vue, HBO and iTunes movies. I have an Apple TV 4 that I bought before the Apple TV 4K came out. Is it worth buying it all over again for the 4K? Has anyone done that and been underwhelmed with the difference? Thanks for the input. [link] [comments]
Posted: 20 Nov 2018 05:47 PM PST My TV app isn't working. Just recommending to check my internet connection and try again. My internet is fine (watching something on the Apple TV right now) and the TV app is also not working on my phone. Anyone else having this issue? I can't find any reported outages. I tried restarting my Apple TV from the settings, but no dice. [link] [comments]

Are there any websites that review iTunes picture quality? Posted: 20 Nov 2018 09:38 AM PST Many years ago, I used to always read the reviews on blu-ray.com when movies would be released in HD for the first time. Like this one: https://www.blu-ray.com/movies/The-Princess-Bride-Blu-ray/210263/#Review Lots of in-depth discussion of picture quality etc. However since then I've sold all my blu-ray's and gone completely digital. I'm wondering if there's any similar sites reviewing iTunes or other digital services for movie picture quality, in this level of detail? [link] [comments]

Apple TV and LG SK10Y Sound-bar Video issue Posted: 20 Nov 2018 10:48 AM PST Hello. I recently bought the LG SK10Y sound bar. I'm doing apples recommendation on their site for using Dolby Atmos through the Apple TV. The setup is currently HDMI from Apple TV to the LG sound bar. And then Sound bar to LG OLED tv through HDMI. The issue I have is that with Dolby vision turned on the screen will randomly black out and the audio will continue playing. The only fix I have found for this is to turn everything off and back on. Sometimes the video is fine and continues playing all day. Others time it continues to cut off and on. I also have an Xbox one x and have no issue playing 4K HDR games or using Dolby Vision while watching 4K Blu Rays. Any help would be appreciated. [link] [comments]
How Many Apple TVs Can You Have in Home Sharing? Posted: 20 Nov 2018 05:30 AM PST I currently have 3 Apple TVs - 1 3rd Gen in the bedroom, 1 4th Gen in the living room, and 1 4K in the Man-Cave (which is also where the only 4K TV in the house is). We've inherited 2 small LCD TVs that we're going to hang in the kid's rooms - neither one of the TVs are Smart TVs so I was thinking since we're already in the Apple "ecosystem" that I'd just get them used cheap ones off Ebay. I know there's a 10 device limit and we have other Apple devices - Iphones, Ipads, Macs - but I heard that Apple TVs weren't "counted" the same. Should adding two more that share the same Itunes Library not be a problem? I don't want to cause any issues with another of the other Apple TVs or devices in the house. The kids' stuff would be very restricted If I can't do this my other thought was to find a couple of used Roku 3 units - I say Roku 3 units instead of like a Roku stick because the Roku 3 can apparently play files from USB devices plugged directly into the port. I mostly rip my own DVDs/Blu-rays to M4V or MP4 which the Roku can read. [link] [comments]
