    When do you think the new iPad Pro will be released? The news websites all seem to agree that it's probably coming out on September 12, but many people say we won't be seeing it until October... What do you think?

    An App To OCR Old Notebooks

    I have a bunch of handwritten notebooks (you know the type they make you use in school) with a substantial amount of notes in them that I've been ferrying around from house to house. While I'd like to keep the content of the notebooks I'm ready for the notebooks to go.

    My solution: What if I OCR them and then store them on my computer. I was thinking I could use my iPad to do that, but I wasn't sure what the best App to do this would be. Ideally I'd like to snap a picture of the page and then just copy the text (I don't need the old original handwriting, plain text is fine) into the Pages app.

    Any ideas?

    iPad 4, app updates, adblock

    I was recently handed down an old iPad 4 from a family member, and have been trying to set it up. Just a couple of questions.

    ​

    – Had to uninstall a few apps, like Netflix, and reinstall them using my own apple ID, for updates. Now turns out I can't re-download the Netflix app, because it requires iOS 11. Any workarounds or ways to get an older app?

    ​

    – How can I block ads? No luck at all so far, in the browser or device-wide. Again, for iOS 10.

    Though I have used Mac OS for years, I'm new to iOS... help is appreciated.

    Is there ANY way to stream xfinity from my iPad to my TV???

    Hi everyone, so like the title suggests, is there any possible way I can login to my xfinity app on my iPad and stream it to my tv to watch my recorded shows? I'm a novice at this kind of stuff but everything I've seen, pretty much says the xfinity app won't work while streaming from iPad to TV.

    I just feel like there has to be a way!

    I am considering using my old ipad 4 as an extra monitor, and would love to have it on a movable arm like from a lamp.. does somebody make this so I can avoid DIY related headaches?

    Two Ipad sound issues

    I screen record broadcast moments of my kid playing college sports. I recorded several videos (with sound) and watched them many times. Sound was perfect. Recently the sound is missing from just one screen recording. I know it had sound - I've practically memorized the announcers comments - so what happened to the sound?

    Is it related to my other issue... the volume on my iPad Air (11.4.1) is not as loud as it used to be. Oddly enough when I connect my small Bluetooth speaker the sound from it is exactly the volume of my iPad. I know the speaker has the ability to be louder after testing it with my iPhone, other iPad etc.

    I have checked every setting, removed the case, cleaned the speakers (they were not visibly dirty) shut down and did a reset to no avail.

    Any suggestions?

    Should I buy an iPad now, or wait until November?

    I'm in the market for an iPad with Apple Pencil support, and I was wondering when I should make the purchase so that I can get the best deal. I'm eyeing a deal on Best Buy which is a 10.5 inch iPad Pro 64 GB for $525. Should I just get that one or will there be better deals if I wait for Apple to release new products in November and just get something either refurbished or new on Black Friday?

    Worth waiting for iPad Pro?

    I'm aware there is a new release event in two weeks for the iPhone and Apple Watch ... I wonder if there is anyone else like me holding off on purchasing an iPad Pro in case:

    1) new iPad Pro is released, likely or unlikely? 2) iPad Pro comes down in price?

    Thoughts? I've been saving for a while and am ready to buy but wondering if the coming event is simply not worth the wait ... would you wait or just buy?

    YouTube video overlay issue

    Hey all. I noticed whenever I watch youtube vids in the app, the overlay of the pause, skip video and go back show up without me touching the screen. Any reasons as to why this is happening? This is on the 10.5 pro.

    Ipad pro video freeze/stufter

    When i make full screen 480 its fine When I change it to 720p full screen it begins to feeeze/stutter

    Mail App Shows Ghost Draft Count

    The iCloud draft folder on my iPad Pro shows a count of 1 for draft but there's no actual draft and it only shows on my iPad; the iPhone, Mac, and web app show nothing as they should. I tired toggling the mail setting in the Accounts setting to no effect. Any other way to fix?

    Warranty on Spotlight bleeding and charging port issues (iPad Pro 12.9)?

    Hi there! I have a unit still in warranty until October. I'd like to ask how Apple approaches spotlight bleeding from one edge of the iPad Pro 12.9. I believe I've read people complaining about it before. And also I have issues on my charging port which would occasionally like short-circuit my device or something like that. My iPad reboots when I plug anything to it (charger or Pencil). Also this glitch when gaming when my touch screen becomes unresponsive until I shake the device up a bit.

    I'd like to know if Apple repairs these issues or do they just outright replace the unit? If they replace it, will it be a refurbished one or a brand new unit?
    I want to know because I'd like to sell it once replaced so I can prep for an upcoming more compact 12.9.
