Posted: 02 Sep 2018 06:36 AM PDT I see everyone asking about it. Your HR needs to be at the "medically-accepted" moderate levels (which is 50-65% of your max HR for YOUR age) to be detected. While moving at all is good, to get any therapeutic effect, you need to be at moderate levels. Read this on intensity: https://www.mayoclinic.org/healthy-lifestyle/fitness/in-depth/exercise-intensity/art-20046887 If walking too intensely hurts, please please please consider other low impact exercises like swimming which the Series 3 will track. How does S3 track distance during free wear? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 03:33 AM PDT Does it use the GPS (I know it's used during workouts but no idea whether through normal day activities too) or the accelerometer or other sensor in the watch? Not sure how accurate the shown distances are, that's why I'm asking. [link] [comments]
Do 42mm bands work with 38mm watches? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 03:24 AM PDT I bought a 42mm band from a third party but decided to go with the 38mm S2 instead. Will the band still work? [link] [comments]

What are some (and your) best practices with the Apple Watch? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 01:49 AM PDT I'm most likely going to get the Series 4. I waited until now, but what I can see from the renders that thing is going to be awesome! But in my case I'm still wondering what it's actually useful for. I have almost no notifications on. Everyone besides my girlfriend is turned off, only a few apps (like Maps and traffic monitors and Wunderlist) are allowed to give me notifications. So what other purpose can it serve (besides looking @ the time obviously ;) ). What are your cases where you find your AW really useful? How do you use it every day? What are functions I need to know about? I currently just have a regular watch in a rugged style since I tend to go outdoors from time to time. [link] [comments]

Posted: 01 Sep 2018 06:06 PM PDT From what I understand this feature is coming with WatchOS5, however my S3 Nike+ Watch already has this feature. Did I miss something in a previous update? [link] [comments]
Remember when we can get the Pride watchface early by setting the time? Posted: 02 Sep 2018 01:23 AM PDT I wonder if we can get the new leaked watchface by setting the time to Sep. 12 or it was only for S4 Update: i tried but nothing happens [link] [comments]
Help! Looking for a stop watch complication. Posted: 01 Sep 2018 09:21 PM PDT Hello friends! I need a third party Stop Watch app that shows the time ticking away in a complication. I cannot use the stock one, because it will open the app on the watch itself when I raise my wrist to look at the screen. I do not want that behavior, I want it to stay in the background. Have any suggestions? [link] [comments]
Why is there a monthly fee with Apple Watch? Posted: 01 Sep 2018 09:12 PM PDT My old man and I are looking to get my mom an Apple watch for her birthday this week. The more I look into it, I'm seeing there's a monthly fee for it. I thought the watch was just an extension of the iPhone. Can anyone explain this for me? Is it a mandatory fee/feature, or can it be disabled? [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Sep 2018 08:31 PM PDT Today I did an outdoor walk for about 50 min and I did it with the work out app, but exercise didn't close nor did it say that it was completed. But it shows up on the activity app that a walk was done. Any help??? [link] [comments] |
