    Just discovered this. You can use guided access (via accessibility settings) to disable the autolock feature and lock you into a specific app.

    Now, this is amazing for cooking with apps/websites/etc.

    The phone stays on and you don't have to deal with failed touchID attempts because of greasy/wet/floury fingers!

    I have the Apple ID and the pass and the email but if I want to log in ICloud I need confirmation key which I dont have. How can I disable the phone so it cant be used anymore?

    Working iOS Desktop Browser?

    This is probably a long shot but does anyone know of any app currently that you can just use desktop mode? Was using iCab mobile and Puffin but both don't work for me anymore and my Mac broke but need to do desktop work lol. Thank you very much in advanced !!!

    The dream PDF editor - does it exist?

    I'm an online tutor on a Surface setup.

    I'm looking to replace it for a MacBook+iPad one, so that I can both 1) handle Skype calls with an external webcam and 2) use annotation intensively.

    What would you recommend for me?

    I'm looking for a PDF editor that has 1) live and real-time collaboration, 2) Windows/iOS/web apps, 3) remembers the page you left off in each document. Do you know any?

    I'm also looking for a live, real time collaboration whiteboard for the iPad that can work across platforms. I'm on Microsoft Whiteboard now, which is still developing its iOS/web apps. The others I saw are sluggish. Do you know any?

    iOS 12 Beta Problems

    I'm sure a lot of you have heard about the iOS 12 Beta "Update from the Beta" popup bug. Well I had that problem and even after downloading the patch that supposedly fixes it, I still get the popup every time I unlock my phone, open an app and dismiss my notification center. Can anyone help me with this? Is there a solution? I have an iPhone 6s.

    Keyboard suggestion

    Typing a wrong word and insisting on keeping as is in the suggested words over and over should add that word into the suggested words automatically.

    I was alone in my bedroom browsing a (silent) app on my phone when I heard a super loud RPG level-up noise played. Ringer was off, sound was not high.

    I have an iPhone 8.

    It was a ding type "da da daaa!" that randomly played in complete silence. Sounded a little bit like the "Turn on sticky keys?" thing that happens on PC when you're mashing your space bar. Being the paranoid loser that I am I immediately covered my camera with my thumb and turned my phone completely off.

    If you're wondering whether my phone is jailbroken, honestly I have no idea. I've downloaded illegal apps off third-party app stores, but I'm pretty sure it's not completely jailbroken.

    I asked someone what they thought it was and they thought it was a noise that played during charging (which is what I was doing), but when I looked up the all the charging sound effects on YouTube none of them sounded remotely similar to what I heard. The noise that played was something completely different from your standard Apple sound effects.

    Not to mention my ringer was off. Freaky.

    Wasn't my PC or someone outside in the hall either, don't think. It was really loud.

    Is someone messing with my phone?

    Edit: My phone isn't jailbroken. I am not a smart man.

    Can't switch cards while using Apple Pay

    I have two cards set up to use with Apple Pay, but I'm having an issue where once Apple Pay opens up, it won't let me switch to my second card. What happens is, I tap on the default card and for a split second the phone acts like it's bringing up all my cards to pick from, but then it goes straight back to the default card.

    I haven't used Apple Pay too many places, but I know I've had success switching to my second card sometimes. The problem I described only seems to happen at one merchant, a grocery store, and it happens every single time I try to use Apple Pay there.

    Phantom Texts

    So my phone keeps on doing this thing every once in awhile where I get texts (I can see it coming through on my iMessage on my laptop) and I get each text vibration on my phone, but literally no notifications. Even when it's locked. The screen is still black and it doesn't light up with a text notification, in fact it doesn't even show the text at all.

    Any reason this is happening?

    Photos Not Uploading to iCloud After Storage Upgrade

    I ran out of my 5GB iCloud storage a few months ago. I just upgraded to 50GB storage and for some reason my photos/videos are not uploading to iCloud. The photos app says over 1,000 images have not been uploaded and I'm not sure how to initiate it, I thought it would do it automatically. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Apple and Siri updates

    Does anyone else wish the Spotlight search bar would integrate with Siri?

    ​If I pull down to search, or initiate Siri with my home button? (soon to be side button come November) sometimes there's a song playing that I want to ID and I don't want to speak to Siri, so miss my opportunty. I'd love to just swipe down and ask "What song is this?" and have Siri start to listen. Or initiate Siri then search and have the same happen.

    ​You could even type "remind me about...." and it'd set a reminder, if you didn't want to speak. Or whatever, every bit of Siri assistance could be typed, saving you from opening the app and doing it yourself.

    ​It shouldn't be Type to Siri or Speak to Siri, we should be able to use both.

    ​On a seoarate note, when will Siri be able to send emails at a certain date/time? Assistants in real life can do this, "Hey, email... on .... about...." simply say to Siri: "Send an email to...." Siri would ask, "Ready to send it?" I could say: "No, send it on..." and it'd be logged and she'd just send it, maybe we even get a notification on that day from Siri: "I've sent your email" with a little attachment of it.

    ​Anyone else have any improvements and updates you'd like to see? Other than the usual ones that crop up?
