I attempted to change the admin name, only to be locked out of User and Groups. I followed prompts to reset the password via recovery, but to no avail. I followed a prompt to go into single user, and went into reboot. This allowed me to create a new administrator under my desired name, but the "admin" account is still lingering as a Standard user. Now comes the hair-pulling part. My iCloud/Apple ID is still tied to this "admin" account. I cannot view my iMessages due to this issue. When I view devices on appleid.apple.com, the device is called "admin's MacBook Pro", not the real administrator account. I've tried everything to remove this "admin" account and nothing is working. HELP!

I have the 13 inch macbook pro 2018 edition with the touchbar. I travel with this laptop to law school in nyc using the subway so im sure theres been a little pressure on the laptop even though i use a sleeve and have it in a padded bookbag as well. Today I opened my laptop and found this stain:

i wiped it and it was thankfully only a stain and doesnt seem to be a scratch. Is this due to a faulty hinge or are all 2018 macbook pros susceptible to this?

Hey yall. Recently my messages stopped being able to send, so I logged out but now I keep getting this message when I try to sign into iMessage. I tried a couple of solutions including reseting the automatic time zone setting. Any suggestions?

Macbook doesn't turn on like it's supposed to

I have a mid 2012 Macbook Pro that I just can't seem to figure out what's wrong with it. The flashing light indicator lights up when it's sleeping but when I open it the light turns off and nothing happens. It charges normally and turns on after messing with the power button after quite a while. When it eventually turns on, the Apple icon and chime happens twice and it runs like normal. I recently had the hard drive replaced thinking that was the problem but it still just won't turn on when I want it to. Should I just give up on it and get a new one or is it worth fixing?

Hello. I am about to buy a MacBook Air and need some advice. I intend to use it for school (Network and Informatic Systems), I'll need it to run some simulators to work with Cisco switches mostly. I will also use it to start working with blender and maybe some photo editing. I choosed this model because my budget isn't that big and I think the programs I will work with are not that heavy.

Silverlight alternative
