This is a new idea so please feel free to offer your feedback about this thread or the subreddit in general in the comments. As usual if you have a serious issue with the subreddit please contact the moderators directly. This thread is intended to help members of the /r/iphone community get informed about new apps that are out there. App developers may also use this thread to make users aware that their new app exists. Please sort comments by 'new' to find questions/information that would otherwise be buried. In this thread you can ask any iOS app related question that you may have. Anyone may offer advice on any issue. Two examples of potential questions could be; "How do I learn to code an app?", or "How is app pricing determined?" Developers, please include as much information about your app as possible, including size, price, release info, and anything else people request. | Got my iPhone 7 glass replaced, got some weird stain under the screen. Posted: 10 Aug 2018 06:12 AM PDT So I got this stain under the screen and I don't know what it could be. The technician told me that it is due to the heat (?) and that it would go away after some time. To me it looks like they fucked up with the lcd while replacing. Could anyone with more knowledge tell me what this could be? | Offline reading through safari or third party apps not working Posted: 10 Aug 2018 09:00 AM PDT I'm going on a trip for a week where my internet will be slow/limited. I wanted to save a bunch of information from websites without crowding my photo gallery. Is there an easy way to save websites for offline use. I've tried through safari and not sure if I'm doing something wrong, but it's not working for me. When I go to the website, I click add to reading list and then go to the reading list, swipe to the left and click save offline. It seems to work at that point, but then when I go into airplane mode, it does not open for me and says not available for offline reading (tried with many sites so it's not just one with the issues). Also, downloaded a bunch of free third party apps that offer offline browsing but they will not work. Some crash, some will work only on a couple of pages but not the others. Any suggestions for third party apps or how to do this through safari? TLDR Trying to save webpages and PDFs for offline viewing, can't seem to get any apps or safari to work for all. | I have a Question about the “Last used” app date in the iPhone storage menu. Posted: 10 Aug 2018 10:06 AM PDT If you go to settings - general - iphone storage you can see a list of all your apps, how much storage space they use up and the date each app was "last used" What does the last used date mean because i have apps which are saying they were last used today even though the last time i used them was months ago at least. For example, my mail app says it was last used today, i haven't used the mail app in months and i don't have an account attached to it, i removed it from my main screen and i haven't clicked it in months. Same with maps, i have never used maps, iv never clicked it and my location services are off, so how was it last used today? There are also other apps that show incorrect dates. Other apps are correct, for example my xbox app shows it was last used 7 days ago, which is correct. Could anyone enlighten me on this? [link] [comments]  | ||

I love using it to move the cursor while typing, but sometimes it randomly highlights text and you'll have to tap to unselect it, or else it gets deleted when you start typing. | Question about iPhone 7 Plus 11.3 mic/speaker issues. Posted: 10 Aug 2018 01:36 AM PDT I'm one of the unlucky few whose iPhone 7 Plus' mic isn't working. I've been on 11.3.1 for a while, but this problem just started today. My symptoms include:
I'm just wondering if anyone else is experience the exact same symptoms on the same phone / iOS. I'd really like to not have to get a new iPhone on 11.4.1 since I'm jailbroken on 11.3.1 which I waited forever for. Wondering if there are any potential fixes. | [Help] I need some help with a serious issue I’m having with my iPhone calendar. Posted: 10 Aug 2018 09:01 AM PDT Hello, Thank you for taking the time to read this post and I hope I am able to solve it. Here's the issue: I work a rotating work schedule of four (4) days on, then two (2) days off, essentially making it a six (6) day work cycle. I had a repeating event set starting on 1/1/2018 and ending on 12/31/2018 for each of the four work days. Each day would repeat every six days. Today, I added a dentist appointment for 02/12/2019. When I checked my calendar next to schedule something I realized that my entire "repeating event schedule" was completely screwed up. Some of the days I had made VERY IMPORTANT notes, and clicked "save only on this day" as to not mess up the rest of the year. Now, looking back, ALL of my notes are gone. I logged into iCloud on my computer and they are messed up on there too. I tried "restoring the calendar" to yesterday, in hopes it would change everything back, but it did not. I am in dire need of help to try and figure out what to do. I really need for the calendar to basically revert back to how it was with the old notes intact. The only "change" I made, was to make the new event in 02/2019. I did NOT touch the repeating events. I have tried google and the apple forums, with negative results. I just keep getting asked "well did you change back to an old calendar in iCloud?", which is not very helpful to hear over and over again seeing as I already tried that and it didn't work. It should be noted that any "new events" I create/had created were not effected. Those show up just fine, and I create new ones without issue when tested. The only problem is with the "Repeating Events" I DO have a backup on my computer from last week, which was physically done with the cable, and worst case scenario, I could hopefully use that. | Gboard has lost its goddamn mind on iOS 12 Posted: 10 Aug 2018 07:27 AM PDT Gboard swipe is pretty close to unusable for me on iOS 12. Unless I pay suuuper close attention to where I'm swiping, it breaks up longer words into multiple word gibberish.
