| Toggle between 1080p and 4k on Netflix app Posted: 08 Aug 2018 11:31 AM PDT I'm wondering if there's a quick and easy way to switch between resolutions on the Netflix app. Im limited on my home internet to 1tb per month, and I know 4k uses a lot of data, but at the same time I have a nice television and want to be able to enjoy the 4k content as well, and just switch when I'm running low on data. It's my brother's Netflix account and the whole family uses it, so not paying for uhd isn't an option either. I know there's a way to go through the settings and force it to 1080p, but was hoping there was an easier way to do it for just Netflix and not the whole apple TV. If I do force to 1080p I'm assuming 4k content won't use as much data correct? It's not going to download and compress or something weird like that would it? [link] [comments]  |
| [Help] Wirelessly output audio (Airplay) while mirroring iOS Posted: 08 Aug 2018 06:55 AM PDT Hey everyone, I have my Apple TV 4K currently setup with an overhead projector. I recently purchased an Airplay 2 compatible sound bar (Sonos Beam) that I have placed at the foot of the projector screen. I am able to output audio to the Sonos Beam if I use the Apple TV as a source of video (so apps like Netflix, Youtube, etc. can have the video through the projector and the audio through the Sonos). However, I am not able to have video coming from my iPad (via screen mirroring) and audio output to the Sonos... The audio will play through the projector... which is located directly on top of our heads... Which is not ideal. Is there a way to ''grab'' the audio from the ATV and send it to the Sonos? I've looked into wireless audio transmitter/receivers but those seem a bit pricey and surely there's a cheaper solution I couldn't find...? Thanks for any input and ideas you guys might have!
