| Iphone 7- Unable to hear on phone calls Posted: 25 Jul 2018 05:47 AM PDT Hey all. Hopefully someone can give me some advice. My phone randomly stopped working properly, as when I make or receive phone calls I cannot hear anyone on the other end/ they cannot hear me. I am not able to even press the speaker phone button. However, I can listen to voicemails, only on speaker phone. Music works just fine. I had made a phone call earlier in the day and it was working, then a couple hours later I tried to make a phone call and was unable to hear anything. I took it to the Apple store and they basically just told me it was an antenna problem and since my phone was out of warranty by a mere 15 days, my only option is a replacement phone for $300+. This is not feasible for me, and I rely on my phone quite a bit for work, I get a lot of calls from them. I am not eligible to upgrade my phone through my wireless carrier (at&t) for another 12 months. I looked into one of those third party insurance sites (I do not have insurance on the phone), however not sure how trustworthy they are. Thank you all in advance. [link] [comments]  | ||

I find the timing interesting, considering its been out for about a year already. Before the full extent of it hit, he complained that his phone was having a hard time charging and he's worried that if he's in the hospital he would lose his contacts. I bought him an iPhone 7+ and it was shipped to him, but he lost almost all function in his hands. I bought a mic to be able to hook up to it to be able to make hands free calls. He can manage to hit a couple buttons and make a phone call, but can't dial out and can't really text/type as it's too difficult with his hands. His phone continues to give him problems and he's been unable to activate the new one yet. He's not mobile right now so he can't go to a Sprint store to do it.
