''Error occurred while updating firmware'' when installing High Sierra Posted: 24 Jun 2018 12:29 AM PDT Hello. I recently brought an Early-2014 Macbook Air which is running 10.10.5 Yosemite. I want to install HS but I keep getting the firmware error. There is only one 128gb ssd in my mac and I can't tell if it is third party or OEM. I tried installing it safe mode. I tried the diskutil repairdisk disk0 as suggested somewhere but terminal does show any error in EFI system partition. What should I do? Please help Thank you! [link] [comments] |
Starting position of New Document window Posted: 23 Jun 2018 07:22 PM PDT Is it possible to change the start position of new document in TextEdit? Every time I launch TextEdit.app and press CMD+N new window appears somewhere in corner and has small size. Any solutions there? [link] [comments] |
New MacBook Air not connecting to TV using adapter + hdmi cable Posted: 23 Jun 2018 05:15 PM PDT I used my own older MacBook Air on this TV before, but now my girlfriend bought a new MacBook air. Same software, same cable, almost the same MacBook (I got mine in 2013) and just does not seem to work. I've tried everything. Resetting (SMC and NVRAM reset, and safe mode). I also tried restarting it with the TV connected. I tried my MacBook again and it still connects automatically, but when I try hers nothing happens at all. Any other ideas that might work?
