It lasts like 3 hours and it drains when i'm not using my phone! Without any connection consumes 5% per hour. Also when i use my iPhone is always hot, like reheated. Last night I didn't charge my phone because I have an 8+ and was listening to music so I couldn't plug it in. When my alarm went off this morning, my phone was at 1%. If it had died and not woken me up, I would have been screwed, so I got very lucky. It'd be cool if they added an alarm that you could turn on and off that's go off when your phone was at 1%. Maybe not a lot of people would see a reason for this, but if I ever do that again I know I probably won't be as lucky. [link] [comments]  | ||

This seems trivial, but the only way I can get into an app is to say "open Waze" or "open notes". I just want, "Hey Siri, unlock!". Is there a universal phrase that can open your phone to the screen its on if it were unlocked? Edit: just to clarify, I want to go from a black screen back to my recipe in safari hands free. What's the deal with the different leather on the iPhone Leather cases ? I had a Grey one that was, out of the box, very sticky to the feel. Like it would stick to your finger if you started to sweat a little. Sadly, I marked it badly so I got a new grey one. The new grey one is way more slippery and doesn't feel the same at all. The leather also doesn't have the same thin but visible pattern. They are both made by Apple, ordered on Apple.ch and made during 01/2018. I also tried a black one that was slippery like the second grey one. And an Electric Blue that was as, if not more, sticky than the first Grey one. So my question is, how is it possible that two same color cases made during the same month ordered from the same Website (apple.ch) have such a different feel to them ? [link] [comments]  | ||

When I take pictures, it will automatically upload them to iCloud. If I take a lot in a short period of time, I'm able to hit the pause button and stop it from uploading until the end of the day. If I only take a few, then it uploads before I can see the pause button. How can I control it? [link] [comments]  | ||

Posted: 27 Jun 2018 09:30 AM PDT In the market for a good pair of Bluetooth/wireless earbuds and curious to see what others have had a good experience with and recommend. I spend a lot of time on the phone for my job, both on individual and conference calls. Call quality is very important, both my ability to hear others and the ability to be heard. I will frequently take calls in a variety of environments (indoors, outside, on the street, etc) so something that does a good job blocking out background noise is critical. I prefer earbuds, mostly because they are portable and can be worn while doing things like walking or working out (big headsets/over-the-ear headphones are too bulky). Water resistance is a huge plus, as is decent battery life (I can spend upwards of 8 hours on the phone). I am currently using my second pair of PowerBeats, which I like but have found that they aren't very durable. I also have a cheaper pair of Phaiser earbuds that are fine for listening to music but have crappy call quality. I love the concept of AirPods but can't use them because the battery life is too limited AND there's no way they will fit in my freakishly small ears (I have tiny ears, the earpods that come with my iPhone just fall out because they can't fit into my ears). If I am playing a video through the Photos app, sometimes the color of the UI changes? Like while playing a video then slide up the Control Center, the blue color of WiFi and green color of Cellular Data goes unsaturated. Then, it will slowly go back to its original color. Then the black point or the black area are being adjusted while the video plays, like when the blacks in the video are a little faded, the black area above and below will also have a faded look. I'm watching it in portrait mode so the black area I'm telling is not part of the video frame itself. Another is when switching to another shot, the video blinks. Like from a dark shot then switch to a shot with lots of highlights. There is no problem with the video itself. [link] [comments]  | ||
