| Questions about transferring SIM card from iPhone 6s Posted: 05 Jun 2018 08:06 PM PDT Hello kind reddit heroes, Recently broke my iPhone 6s cameras (front and back) on my phone. The repair cost to fix the cameras is definitely higher compared to just purchasing a used iPhone 6s on Ebay. The SIM card on my broken iPhone 6s is still in tact. Ebay has a bunch of "locked" iPhones 6s for sale, so I wanted to purchase one and put my original SIM card into the Ebay phone. Is this action viable? Will the new iPhone 6s from Ebay work even though it is "locked"? Or do I need to purchase an "unlocked" phone in order to put the SIM card in and have it work? | Bought used iphone 7, stuck in recovery mode after using itunes to restore Posted: 05 Jun 2018 07:39 PM PDT I upgraded from a 5c to a 7, and the same day that I bought it, it's now stuck in recovery mode. I've spent 9 hours on my day off of work reading the first few pages of search results and finding no solutions. I'm honestly really upset and just want my phone to work. I can't afford a new phone because I'm a poor college student. I've only ever bought used, outdated phones. When I received the iphone it had not been factory reset. It was updated to IOS 11.3.1. It worked fine. I inserted my sims card, and attempted to factory reset the phone. It had a "restrictions code" which the previous owner did not remember, so I had to use iTunes to factory reset the phone. I've tried

I am able to enter DFU mode. But, I recvieved two unkown errors: 14, and 0xE8000065. Generally, it seems to fail after updating the firmware, I'd need to check that again to make sure I'm not misremembering. I have a headache and I'm pissed off. Can anyone help? I'm going to bring it to a local phone repair service tomorrow if I can't find a solution tonight. I build and troubleshoot computers for fun, so I'm used to things breaking - but this seems ridiculous. All I attempted to do what update the phone using Apple's own software. | Iphone 6 Plus SMS only sends after turning airplane mode on and off Posted: 05 Jun 2018 02:44 PM PDT Almost every time I go to send a SMS message on my phone it always says failed to send, but if I turn airplane mode back on and off the message will send and I will be fine for around 15 minutes until I have to turn airplane mode back on and off again. I have cellular data turned on, send as SMS is also turned on, and I have conversations to start with my phone number and not my imessage email a dress. When we were on the plane I was the only one that put my phone on airplane mode and I think that's the problem. I even searched it up online and it seems like that's the problem. | Posted: 05 Jun 2018 10:38 AM PDT Hi. I currently own an iPhone 6 Plus, and recently it has been going through some issues with its touchscreen. The touchscreen becomes unresponsive indefinitely and if I the iPhone on its back firmly (but also gently) with the side of my hand, the touchscreen resumes to function. Due to the nature of the temporary fix I found (I know it's not good on the long run as it is possible that I'm causing more damage to the cellphone), I guess it's some kind of connector that is currently with a poor connection. That's why when I hit it, it probably strengthens the connection and resumes working. Does anyone know any fix for this? | iPhone 7 Plus earpiece volume too low Posted: 05 Jun 2018 08:58 AM PDT For some reason the volume of the earpiece (using the iPhone as a regular phone) it is hard to hear the person speaking, although Bluetooth and wired headsets sound fine. I've tried:

| New iPhone 6s battery life on iOS 11.3.1 Posted: 05 Jun 2018 07:52 AM PDT I've recently bought a new (refurbished) 6s and while the stand-by battery drain is reasonable, when I use the phone the battery visibly drains. Before you ask, I've turned off the regular culprits and the Battery is at 100% maximum capacity. I'm thinking of switching to 6s Plus since it's supposed to have a bigger battery, but I've heard it's the OS "problem" and that means only 7 and up are not affected. I could buy a 7 but it would cost me 1.5 times of what I have paid for 6s which is less than ideal. [link] [comments]  |
| Dropped 7+ the bath, now weird issues have arisen Posted: 05 Jun 2018 03:51 AM PDT So as title. Dropped phone in the bath, wasn't submerged for a extended period of time. Morning after, the home button wouldn't work so I used the "Floating Home Button" from the accessibility menu. Home button started working but with no haptic feedback, which ties in to the phone not vibrating at all. Now, I assume water has got in and damaged the taptic engine, which I can live with. The weird issue is that I do not get a ringtone sound when some one calls me. I have restored, reset settings and still no joy, all other notifications for apps work bar the alarm. I get no alarm sound. Now, here is the really weird thing, if I go to select a ringtone, no matter which one I choose it plays the default iPhone ringtone, on every single ringtone that is on the phone. My upgrade is due in October, if I can get my phone to ring it would help me out massively. Any advice would be much appreciated. [link] [comments]  |
| Push notifications not working in Cellular Data | iP5S iOS 11.3.1 Posted: 05 Jun 2018 03:10 AM PDT Hi! Almost all push notifications are not coming through whenever I'm on cellular data. I do receive some but they are super delayed. I also don't receive notifications from my chat apps. But when I do connect to a pocket WiFi, the notifications will come. My data has faster speeds than the pocket WiFi. Is there I need to check or iOS is really made that way? EDIT: Already updated to 11.4. I also use a VPN but even though I use the VPN with WiFi, notifications still works but not on Cellular Data [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 05 Jun 2018 02:09 AM PDT So i bought a new iphone 8 three weeks ago and since i started using it the iphone would reset itself every couple of hours but it was not a big deal. After updating to the latest 11.4 ios the iphone is fine when i use it but as soon as i lock it and try to unlock it after couple of minutes it wont unlock even though i can hear notifications and then it just reboots. Ive tried restoring the settings to factory version, tried disabling notifications, ive set up time and date manually, tried to force reset it and i am out of ideas at the moment. The internet says that there may be a problem with the battery but its brand new in this case so it makes no sense.
