Now you can easily transfer folder and files between Mac and iPad Posted: 23 Jun 2018 08:58 AM PDT The IOS app Documents by Readdle just got a big update. Look in the IOS App Store where you can read what you now can do with Wi-Fi Transfer: You can transfer files of folders of any size in bulk It worsk with all popular file formats Transfer files from/to Mac or PC without any additional setup. You can also now scan books, documents to PDF's and annotate them within the app. Nice. [link] [comments] |
Which iPad model has same performance specs as iPhone X? Posted: 23 Jun 2018 12:36 PM PDT Which iPad model has the same processing performance and memory specs equivalent to iPhone X? Is there any with superior specs to iPhone X? Also other non-Apple brands that have same or superior specs like this iPad model? [link] [comments] |
Automatic sync between iCloud PDFs and iBooks? Posted: 23 Jun 2018 10:10 AM PDT I've done some searching and I'm not sure if this is even possible but I'm wondering if there is a way for any PDFs I put into iCloud drive (manual upload via web from PC) to automatically show up on the iBooks main screen? Similar to how stuff just shows up everywhere in DropBox. I turned on iBooks in iCloud Drive settings, but that didn't do anything. I can go into the Files app and open PDFs in iBooks, but that's an extra step i'm trying to avoid. There don't seem to be any settings in iBooks itself to tweak. I'm going to use DropBox if this isn't possible, but iBooks is ideal if there is some way to setup an automatic load/sync/view. iPad Air 2 iOS 11.4 Thanks. [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jun 2018 10:05 AM PDT On an OG iPad Pro 12 inch...sometimes the screen touches are not registering at all, or intermittently, sometimes it's fine...typing becomes short gibberish at times due to half the letters missing/not registering. Anyone else encounter this problem? It's a big time waster of a problem, due to repeating keys many times on the touch key board or swiping over an over, to get them to register. [link] [comments] |
Are iPad apps bigger in size than iPhone apps? Posted: 23 Jun 2018 01:15 PM PDT so i was thinking if the iPhone and iPad apps size are same so i can select the right storage for my new iPad. since i have a 128 GB iPhone and i have used only 30 GB so far. T anks [link] [comments] |
LiquidText - how often does it backup? How easy to use across different devices? Posted: 23 Jun 2018 09:08 AM PDT So I just got an iPad Pro and love it. The issue I'm concerned about is how frequently iCloud backs up liquidtext and say I lose the iPad how will I get the data back easily? Does it backup hourly? Instantly? Daily? I had no idea what I was missing with combining research papers and cross linking the notes. Absolutely love Liquid Text but feel like I'm instantly too reliant if its not easy to recover all my data edits and notes. [link] [comments] |
advice for a broken screen ipad 2017 Posted: 23 Jun 2018 08:53 AM PDT hello, I was interested in getting an ipad at relatively low price. I found, really close from where I live, an ipad 2017 (5th gen) 32gb only wifi with a partially broken screen for 80€ (charger and cable excluded but I already have them). What I don't know is how much this can be this annoing for the use in term of confort and lifetime of the device. I don't have a device with a broken screen so I'm not even able to do a compare myself. Can someone share his advice on that? thanks The idea is to get it for not intesive use. I've put some photos of the ipad, the quality is really bad but they are not mine ;) [link] [comments] |
2 week old ipad pro: missing pixel or dust? Posted: 23 Jun 2018 07:46 AM PDT while writing a paper I noticed a small black dot I tried whipping away however it didn't go away... I do have a glass screen protector. but unsure if this is just dust or pixel.. would I know if it was pixel? I don't want to have to take off the glass screen protector this photo isn't as clear as I would like but don't know how to get a better photo picture provided here: [link] [comments] |
does universal copy and paste work between my iphone and ipad pro? Posted: 23 Jun 2018 12:29 PM PDT I know it works between macOS and iOS but does it worth with 2 iOS devices? I'm trying but can't seem to get it to work [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Jun 2018 08:38 PM PDT Is anyone else experiencing poor battery life on 11.4? I've got a 9.7" iPad Pro, only about 14 months old. I used to get 10 hours with moderate usage (reddit, YouTube, games etc.), now I'm struggling to get 5 hours. Last night it dropped ~10% just on standby. Is it poor battery health or 11.4? I've read some reports of poor performance on 11.4. Would a restore possible fix things? [link] [comments] |
Is there a way to set a parental lock on an iPad depending on time? Posted: 23 Jun 2018 04:48 AM PDT I want to lock the iPad the kids use. I don't want it to work after 9:00 pm and I don't want it to be able to be used until 7:00 am. Is there a way I can do this? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 23 Jun 2018 02:14 PM PDT How is everyone's 2017 iPad Pro doing? I am considering buying one as a school laptop, drawing tablet and for e-books. However I am unsure of it's longevity. [link] [comments] |
Is there an app that calculates my battery’s remaining life for iPad Posted: 23 Jun 2018 04:29 AM PDT The beta version for battery life only works on my iPhone. I don't see it on my iPad Air 2. I've been using it since January of 2015. [link] [comments] |
32GB Cellular or 128GB model for iPad 2018? Posted: 23 Jun 2018 03:35 AM PDT I'm on a tight budget here so I can choose either 32GB with cellular or 128GB wifi only. (Since I have to cut my budget for apple pencil) What benefits of having a cellular one over wifi only? Or do you think more storage will be a lot more use? If you were on my shoes what would you choose and why? Ps. I mostly use my current iPad at home and my uni has wifi spot in all area. But the ability to use GPS might come in handy from time to time (I suppose). [link] [comments] |
Full Apple setup or half Apple half Android? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 11:42 PM PDT As of right now I have an iPad pro 12.9 and my phone is an LG g6. Both devices are awesome. The g6 takes awesome photos and iPad has pretty much replaced my computer. Using ios on the iPad though has made me think that maybe I would be better off selling my LG and going for an iPhone. Does anyone have any experience in:
And also if I were to change, which iPhone could you recommend? [link] [comments] |
iPad Pro 2016 vs iPad 2018 question Posted: 22 Jun 2018 05:41 PM PDT I'm thinking of getting this in hopes it'll stay supported by the latest iOS for 3-4 years. Do you think that's likely? It'll be a used rose gold 32 gb WiFi only model. Usage will be educational apps mostly and Minecraft. Of course at this price I could also get the 2018 iPad, not 2016 iPad Pro. Any thoughts, advice or insight on the best bang for $~300? [link] [comments] |
any uses for an ipad 1st gen ? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 11:55 PM PDT recently come into ownership of an ipad 1 st gen and i was wondering if any of you guys still owned one and what you used it for . it's slow but it's nice to play around with ios 5.1.1 though ! [link] [comments] |
Glass Screen Protector And Pencil? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 04:10 PM PDT I just got a new 2018 iPad. I also got a glass screen protector. I didn't want to put it on until I was sure that my pencil will work with it (won't scratch it and will still "talk" to the iPad). Does anyone have this set up that could help me out? Thanks! Update: thanks for all the input! I just put it on. We will see how it does! [link] [comments] |
Anyone using two (or more) ipads? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 09:19 PM PDT I had the 1st gen 12.9" pro and loved it. Upgraded to the 2nd gen 12.9" and then, for purly financial reasons, downgraded to the 10.5" iPad Pro. This is a great ipad, but I've missed the 12" one ever since. I've played with my wife's mini a little bit and I've concluded that I think the ideal setup for me would be the 12.9" (I miss the screen real estate) for work and major tasks, but it would be nice to have the mini for those times on the couch or in bed. I'm interested in anyone's thoughts on this. I guess another way to phrase this would be: a device for my moods and situation. In bed, the mini. At the desk the pro. On the can, my iphone. Looking for new iPad, so many dilemmas.. Posted: 22 Jun 2018 06:54 PM PDT I've been considering getting an iPad and had my mind set for the 128GB iPad 2018 model but now the 10.5" 64GB iPad Pro is $150 off at BestBuy. That makes the difference about $120. I'm not interested in buying the pros when it gets announced in september, but will the current versions drop significantly? (I assume not since that would drive sales away from the current new iPad 2018?) There's a couple extra lengths I have to go through if I want to go with the pro, I'm in Canada while the deal is in the US. I was also planning to buy it from Costco and getting their warranty as it's much better so I'll be missing out on that too. (I'm not even sure if I can buy the device from the US and get Apple Care for it in Canada). Should I go for it or wait for something similar in Canada? Alternatively would it just be better to get the 128GB 2018 model? [link] [comments] |

Brand new IPad Pro 10.5 - Safari constantly crashes - anything I can do? Posted: 22 Jun 2018 02:10 PM PDT My Safari does the crash where it says the page has to reload. Happens on about every page now. I closed out all other apps and just got the iPad, so I don't have much running in the cache. Ive had a ton of idevices and its never been this bad. Wondering if there is some sort of fix or something I am doing wrong. I can always switch to Chrome, but I'd like to see if there are settings or something in the general iPad settings I should look at - thanks! [link] [comments] |
