Posted: 02 Jun 2018 07:59 AM PDT I'm looking into buying the 2018 iPad as a replacement for my current laptop (Lenovo T440p). I'm going to be a high school chemistry teacher soon and will also be attending grad school for a Master's in education. Would it be doable to make my iPad into a laptop replacement? I would primarily use it to take notes, make lesson plans, surf the web, Reddit, Facebook, and read digital comics. Also, does anyone have any keyboard/stylus suggestions? I'm mainly looking for a keyboard that best simulates a laptop-like experience and I can easily detach the iPad (or rotate/bend over the screen) in order to read comics. [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 Jun 2018 11:30 AM PDT I apologize as this has probably been posted a trillion times by now but I like to come to the source when I'm deciding on a purchase. I want to buy an iPad but I'm waiting to see what's happening on Monday at WWDC. It will not be my primary computer as I have a high end gaming computer. I'm not a student but I want to go to grad school. Currently a ITPM for a pharmaceutical company and I take a lot of trips and do a lot of e-mail, reading, and some app games too. What I keep coming back to is the split screen apps on the 12.9 vs the 10.5. I've played with both in the store and although the 10.5 feels like the better size, I just wanted to hear some opinions on what anyone has and why. Thank you so much for reading if you get this far 😃 [link] [comments]
Just bought a 2018 9.7 128gb ipad. Now I’m thinking I should have gotten the iPad Pro Posted: 02 Jun 2018 11:13 AM PDT Is the iPad Pro worth the extra money? I'm not doing anything fancy with it other watching movies surfing the internet various social media apps and so photo and video editing. Just wondering if I made the right purchase. Best app to protect iPad on free WiFi Posted: 02 Jun 2018 11:11 AM PDT What's the best way to protect iPad when connected to unsecured/free WiFi at shops/restaurants etc. I know of VPN but never one, are there any good recommendations that work on the iOS ecosystem? [link] [comments]
[Question] Note taking, apple pencil etc. Posted: 02 Jun 2018 01:12 PM PDT So I'm interested in taking notes with ipad. Up to now I've been using a regular notebook, but the amount of paper is quite overwhelming. With the release of ipad pro and apple pencil I'm thinking about switching to digital note taking. But the price is killing me. Ipad pro is expensive and apple pencil is ludicrously expensive. Currently I have an old ipad 4 and ipad air 2. Can I use them for handwritten note taking? Can I use a 3rd party stylus and use them? Or is the experience not as good as with the newer models. I need an ipad for pdf annotating, taking notes, but I don't want to dish out $400. Posted: 01 Jun 2018 09:23 PM PDT I have an iPad Pro 10.5 and am looking for an HDMI adapter to carry around with me to watch things like Netflix, Amazon Vidoe, Hulu, etc. while I'm on the road. I travel 3-4 days a week for work so I spend a lot of time in hotels so I'm looking for a good HDMI to lightning adapter to watch my shows from my paid apps on the hotel TVs. At home I have a few Apple TVs that I airplay to if need be and have taken an Apple TV (2nd gen) with me occasionally but it is a pain in the ass to connect to hotel wifi most of the time. Basically I'm looking for the best option to connect to any TV to mirror my apps and watch them on the TV from my iPad. I don't mind paying for an official Apple adapter if that is the best option but of course I would like to save some money if possible. I've seen a lot of different options but they all seem to say that they don't support the major apps like Netflix or HBO GO so I'm not sure if that is consistent across the board with all of them. Any recommendations? Thanks. [link] [comments]

How to fix a soaked iPad 9.7”? Posted: 02 Jun 2018 04:07 AM PDT My iPad 9.7" got submerged in Gatorade (I had my IPad and a Gatorade sitting in a tray and knocked the Gatorade over in my sleep and woke up ~1hour later to see it). I dried it off externally and let it sit alone for a few days hoping it would air out, then charged it, but it won't turn on. Can I fix it any way or is it done for? Thanks. [link] [comments]

Used 256gb 10.5 iPP or new 64gb 10.5 iPP? Posted: 01 Jun 2018 04:12 PM PDT I have the option of getting a barely used/mint condition iPad Pro 10.5 256gb for $555 and a refurbished Apple Pencil for $75. Or a brand new factory sealed 64gb iPad Pro 10.5 for $525...this will be my first iPad being used for internet browsing, music, movies, games, messaging, and a little downtime drawing. Which should I get? Or wait for an announcement? Thanks! :) [link] [comments]
Posted: 01 Jun 2018 08:43 PM PDT For some reason, my IPad mini 1 charges really fast, Yet my Ipad Mini 2 charges like a snail, so does it charge fast because of the charger or the device ? It's started to charge fast a few months before it's charging port broke and so I had to repaired the charging port. After I repaired it, it still charges fast just like before and I want to know if anyone has a fast charging device like mine. [link] [comments]
