    Hi all!

    Reddit has recently been working on rolling out a new feature they've been developing: subreddit chat rooms (see their r/modnews post). Admins want to create an open dialogue with new features created on Reddit, so we've been invited to test out this feature!

    Why Reddit admins want to work closely with us to enable chat rooms since it's an early feature and there's still a lot of work to be done. That being said, enabling chat rooms on our community will allow real users to learn how it works, what doesn't, and will help Reddit shape the future of this chat system.

    In the next few days to a week, we'll be adding chat rooms to our subreddit

    • Some of you will be able to access our chat rooms, others of you will not (it's going to be random).
    • If you're whitelisted you can access chat rooms in our sidebar (redesign only) or you can open chat (you will have a chat icon next to your mail icon) and you will have a new "Rooms" tab which will allow you to view and join our rooms.
    • Anyone can be invited to chat rooms, so if you desperately want to be in a room then hopefully someone that is in the rooms can send you an invite and you'll automatically be whitelisted
    • Our subreddit rules still apply - if you break our rules in chat you will face the same consequences as breaking the rules anywhere else
    • Chat rooms have moderation capabilities for mods to make sure the chat rooms stay civil, respectful, and on topic. Remember, chat is real time and in many ways more personal - please be kind and good to each other. Don't say anything you wouldn't say publicly in a comment.
    • Don't be alarmed if rooms appear, disappear, etc. We're working closely with the admins and in some cases we'll be bringing down the rooms, recreating them, etc. for various reasons that may arise

    I live in london. I use it for travel, food, petrol, purchases etc. I've just noticed I've never taken my wallet with me anywhere. It's very liberating.

    Does installing an iphone beta mess up the apple watch?

    Not installing the watch beta. Curious about the iphone public beta. May install beta version 2 when it's out. But, some people mentioned apple watch issues: battery drain, trouble backing up.

    Are there typically apple watch issues when running iphone beta? I mean like known repeating issues like "does not back up" rather than one-offs which I might spot while seeing the reports of people on the public beta.

    Edit: side question. I've noticed that on this sub specifically, my posts get: 1. A ton of downvotes, and 2. Useful answers

    I'm confused as to why it's not "upvotes + answers" or "downvotes + silence". Am I doing something wrong, or do most people just want to see wrists?

    Hello guys! Can you please help me to decide, i got 2 options - to buy a used apple watch(which was used only couple of times, as seller states) or get brand new one from offical shop. Im planning on getting series 1 sport. Brand new is around 300-350$ usd over here, while used one is around 200$ usd.(it has no scratches, or signs of usage though). But my only concern is, can he sell me fake ones? Please need advice. thanks!!

    Way to track workouts you can't wear the watch for

    As the title says. Has anybody found a good way to do this? Mainly I'm thinking about sports games like basketball wear I couldn't wear the watch. Could I buy a chest strap and start a workout on the watch but leave that on the sideline?

    Hello,

    Does anyone know if the Apple Watch 1 can still be used with iOS 12 Beta? I am currently still on iOS 10.3.3 and WatchOS 4 is not compatible with iOS 10 at all. This means that I was not able to use my Apple Watch for a year because I never upgraded, I always disliked iOS 11 for all its flaws.

    Long story short: can I use my Apple Watch 1 with iOS 12 Beta?

    Runners: How do you close your exercise ring on REST days?

    I'm following a running program that has me doing three to four runs per week. I am training for a 10k.

    On my rest days, I am finding it difficult to consistently close my exercise ring. Some days, I'll walk to Chipotle and back for lunch, and I get like 24 mins, which is great.

    But I wanted something consistent! I thought on my rest days, I can still wake up early and just go for a walk instead of a run. So this morning I got up and did a 32 minute outdoor walk workout. I covered 1.6 miles in this time.

    I got zero exercise minutes.

    Is a 20 minute mile walking pace just not fast enough to count? How fast does it need to be? I know the support article uses the phrase "brisk walk" but how fast exactly is brisk??

    When I walk to lunch, I walk even slower (I think) and I don't even start a workout. Besides that, I honestly don't want to go much faster because I don't want to do too much-- I've been fighting tedinosis in my foot and I need to recover on my rest days. My training days are pretty tough.

    How do you guys deal with this? Because I'd like to be able to close my rings daily.

    Finally gave in and got my first Apple Watch today, space gray series 3 (non-cellular). Loving the hell out of it so far. Are there any must-have or highly recommended Apps? Any way to get more watch faces aside from importing from camera?

    I've just returned from an outdoor running workout. I did leave my iPhone at home. The usual workout summary is correct, but why isn't my workout route showing? When I setup my AW I did enable route tracking. Any ideas on why it isn't working?

    Apple Watch Series 3 GPS running watchOS 4.3.1 paired with an iPhone 8 Plus running iOS 12 beta 2.

    Just got the Crested Milanese Loop today.

    If you are thinking to buy this

    look other options, it does not slide in well (it's hard ti slide in and out..)it does not fit that well to the apple watch (moves on one side)

    Playback Problem?

    I recently got the Apple Watch Series 3 42mm and I have truly been enjoying the iPhone playback feature. That being said, I'm somewhat stumped by something I've been noticing lately. Whenever I go to music on the iPhone and select a track from the songs list it automatically sends me to the first song in my entire collection. At times I get an error that tells me that says "cannot play this item." Is my Apple Watch defective or am I missing something? I would appreciate any help. I can shuffle the songs just fine, but manually selecting a track sends me to the first song in my library.
