I've been reading for a while about people having the same problem - they said that they saw a lot of messages that have been sent via their iMessage. Since I didn't notice such thing, is there ANY way that something has been sent from me? I logged into my Apple ID and didn't notice any changes, charges there. I'm sorry, I don't really know this topic, I just wanted to ask if there is a possibility that something has been done by using my Apple ID (even though I didn't see anything on my phone?)? | When should I buy my new Macbook Pro? Posted: 24 Jun 2018 09:00 PM PDT So I'm currently a computer science major and I'm trying to teach myself IOS / Android app development. I have a 2015 Macbook Air with 4 gb RAM and whenever I run the Android Development Studio it takes about a minute and 30 seconds every time I want to compile / run / test the most basic of apps. So I want to buy a new computer, and am willing to pay around $2000 for this comp. Here's my issue. I know the 2017 Macbook Pro has issues with the keyboard still, but it seems like only 10% of users experience this issue. The student sale is also coming soon where you can get free headphones with the purchase of a Mac. However, the 2018 Macbook Pro (which will probably get rid of the keyboard issue and will have better specs) is rumored to release near the holidays season AKA late fall or early winter. Should I buy the 2017 Macbook Pro during the student sale and chance the keyboard issue and get the Beats, or should I wait till the 2018 Macbook comes out, which will probably be more expensive than the 2017 Macbook? MacOS High Sierra is also running on a seperate partition. My Setup: 1 - MBP Mid-2010 1 - USB (16GB) 1 - 1 TB HDD (Partition fof Windows 10, 90GB [Can be changed]) Downloaded Files:

| Posted: 24 Jun 2018 04:23 PM PDT Whenever i go to play grimes - flesh without blood in the music app on my phone i always get a pop up asking me to join apple music (it's just that one song that is causing it up to now) even though the album is stored on phone and was synced via itunes using my laptop It won't let me listen to the song when i click on it but when i play the previous track and skip to flesh without blood it plays fine 💀 I know it's not important but little things like this really irritate me 😭 [link] [comments]  |

Skip to the end for a tl;dr if you don't care about my reasoning. I have to get a new computer for school. I'm required to have a MacBook, and they strongly recommend a 15-inch model. Fine. I'd love to just get a new touch bar model, but I've heard sooooooo many things about how much people hate the keyboard (I've tried them in store and really didn't like them at all either), and obviously the lack of any usable ports aside from usb-c is incredibly annoying to me. I currently have a 13-inch MBP from 2014 (which, imo, is one of the best laptops ever made. Great ports including HDMI and SD, awesome screen, thin but not so thin it has no features, awesome keyboard, decent battery, etc.) and I really really like it. They do still sell the old model of 15-inch MBPs (the ones with all those great features), and I've considered getting one of those models, but I'm concerned about the graphics/processor. I'm not a "serious" gamer, but I do play some games from time to time, I have to use pretty heavy-duty 3D rendering software for school, dabble in coding, and, more importantly, I try to future-proof any new tech I buy as much as possible, so I don't want to buy a new $2500 laptop if the graphics card is outdated. The graphics on my 2014 MBP are okay, but really nothing to write home about. I know that the 2015 version has Intel Iris "Pro", which is an upgrade, and the 2017 ones have a dedicated AMD card. So here's my question: do you guys think the updated AMD graphics card (and any other hardware updates) on the new 2017 MBPs are enough to outweigh the terrible keyboard and being forced to move to Dongle City? | Continuous, constant beeping sound from fan after I vacuum cleaned my MacBook Pro (Early 2011) Posted: 24 Jun 2018 02:42 PM PDT I decided to vacuum my Mac in effort to reduce the insane cpu usage of kernel_task. I went over the entire Mac on the lowest vacuum setting, but bumped it up a few settings when it came time to clean the fan as dust was still lingering in there. Obviously, I've knocked something loose or straight up broken it. A few minutes after turning my Mac back on there's this steady buzzing sound coming from my fan. As I'm planning on getting a new computer as soon as this one croaks, I'm not exactly enthusiastic about the idea of spending any more of my money on this seven year old, dying computer. Is there an easy fix to this problem? I've googled around for a bit but the search results mainly concern people experiencing beeping sounds during the startup phase. Do I need to screw loose the fan and have a look for myself in order to give more details? In the description, the seller (which seems reputable) says they are from the liquidation of a large corporation. For that reason, it will have DEP Firmware on it. Will this be a problem for me? | Video won't go on iPhone from iTunes Posted: 24 Jun 2018 10:10 AM PDT There is a video that I have interpolated to increase the framerate from 30fps to 60fps. I have done this successfully, however, I cannot put the interpolated videos onto my iPhone for some reason. The way I interpolate the videos is I run them through a program called MEGUI, however, this removes audio, so after that I have to mux them together using mkvmerge. What is strange is that both the original 30fps video and the interpolated 60fps video with no audio will work fine on my phone, but the one that has been interpolated and had audio added will not. I get the error: "videoname.mp4 was not copied because the video format is not supported by the iPhone "iPhone name". How do I fix this? In MKVMerge, the both the original video and the interpolated one shows up as "MPEG-4p10/AVC/h.264". The two audio tracks are AAC and AC-3. I have tried to disable each one separately in different files but that doesn't work. This problem is especially annoying as VLC can play these videos if I download them through documents, however I need to get them into the photos app to use them for other things. | Why is my iPhone not able to download apps? Posted: 24 Jun 2018 01:44 PM PDT Recently got my first Apple device (iPhone 5) and created my own apple id. When I wanted to download Instagram, they wanted me to choose a payment method. When I selected "none", it told me to contact the itunes support to complete this transaction, which I did. The guy said I'd have to enter my credit card data in order to download apps no matter the cost. I did that, but now I get the same error. It still says that I have to contact the support. I've pulled the old classic trick and turned it off and on - nothing changed. Before I call the support again, I hope I can get some tips from you guys. Did any of you have a similiar issue? How did you solve this? I've been told that iOS is much simpler than Android but so far this whole iOS set up is pissing me off. [link] [comments]  |

I need to have two of them working at the same time, so I was looking into replacing the motherboard. How much would this cost exactly? It has always worked fine for me, and I have never had any problems with it, but getting a replacement is the other option. Not every key adds an extra character, but one of the keys in my password certainly does, inhibiting me from unlocking my laptop. | Intermittent Notifications after re-enabling Posted: 24 Jun 2018 10:56 AM PDT Hey one and all! I've been having an issue with my iPhone 7 plus on iOS 11.4 since a few months ago. For a bit of time, I turned off notifications on Facebook Messenger and more recently, Instagram. I turned my notifications back on for Facebook Messenger maybe two weeks ago and for Instagram yesterday. I have this issue still though where I rarely receive notifications when I get messages on either platform. I restarted my phone, uninstalled and reinstalled both apps and checked my notification settings. This is how they look. https://i.imgur.com/5XKhSpN.jpg I feel like I've tried everything. I would say 95% of the time, I don't receive notifications and 5% of the time I do. Both platforms are run by Facebook so I'm thinking it may have something to do with their push notifications but this only seems to have happened when I turned off notifications on either app and then I turned them back on again. My iphone has been sitting on the apple logo screen and ive just now downloaded i tunes and plugged my phone up to my pc. it gave me the option to try to update it and if it didnt work had to be factory reset. how do i avoid this or save the stuff on my phone i didnt have backed up??? Workouts++ informs me that it needs permission to access data in the Health app, but I have granted those permissions and the toggles are "on." The other app, called Swim.com, just doesn't work at all, but doesn't give me any warnings. I've turned everything off and back on again. I've tried deleting and reinstalling the apps. Bottom line is that all permissions have been granted, but the phone/watch don't seem to know it. iPhone 8+, Apple Watch Series 2, latest non-beta software everywhere. [link] [comments]  |

| Can you connect a Magic Mouse 2 to iPad? Posted: 24 Jun 2018 08:55 AM PDT I'm having a difficult time connecting my Magic Mouse 2 to my iPad. Unfortunately, my MacBook Pro, which I use for work is in the shop being repaired, leaving me working from my iPad, which would be much easier, if I had a mouse. Some of the forums I've read suggest connecting the mouse directly to the iPad and then looking for the mouse in the Bluetooth connections. I don't have a way to connect the lightning cable directly from/to the iPad/mouse. I could buy a lightning USB adapter and do so, but wondering if this is the best way? | Can't login to apple id and reset the ipad Posted: 24 Jun 2018 04:08 AM PDT I bought this iPad for almost 5 years now. it is and iPad mini 2 running on IOS 9.3.5 (It said that it's the latest version but I don't believe it). I left alone for a year because I went away. Now it is partially broken. I spent an hour trying to get it back on and discover that the iPad won't charge when it is on. I can't access Apple store but I can use safari to browse the apple store site (not the app) and it worked fine. When I tried using the same password in the iTunes tab in settings it said "Could not Sign in AMD-Action:authenticate:RP". 2 of my Windows computer with iTunes installed failed to recognize iPad when it's plugged in. I cannot factory reset it because I can't sign in with my apple ID. What can I do? The store wouldn't fix it for me anymore because it has been 5 years. -EDIT- Spellings [link] [comments]  |

Broke Macbook pro A1305 keyboard cable Posted: 24 Jun 2018 06:00 AM PDT Pic: https://imgur.com/a/f77XwXr Hi, I liquid damaged my macbook pro 2013 and tried to fix it by using ispropyl alcohol to clean up the logic board. Everything seems to be working now however i have been having an extremely hard time to get the keyboard cable in. This morning when i tried to pull it in it broke off the top (look to the right connecter and it has a tape thing. Thats what came off the keyboard cable. What can i do now? It just looks like tape to me but im not sure. Can you guys please help. Also, any tips to insert the cable without drivinng myself crazy :/ [link] [comments]  |
