Posted: 25 May 2018 10:05 AM PDT Basically: A: 2012 Macbook Pro and iPad Pro 10.5" B: 2015 Macbook Pro and iPad 2018 I have the MBP 2012 and I'm buying an iPad. I have a limited budget I want to allocate for this. I wanted to sell my 2012 MBP to get a 2015 version because it has double the resolution, no disk drive, better battery and a better display panel. But a better iPad would have a bigger screen, great panel as well, better speakers and a laminated display. I'm currently leaning toward the MBP upgrade:

| Posted: 25 May 2018 10:13 AM PDT Hello everyone , about 1 week ago I purchased my iPad Pro 10.5 with an Apple Pencil . From day one I couldn't notice anything but after 3-4 days the iPad dropped it's performance , the display went from the beautiful 120hz to a washed out and a bit flickering screen , good notes 4 response to the Apple Pencil when writing isn't as fast as it was either(this is a fact in every note taking app) and the keyboard is almost frozen and by that I mean that I have type very slow for it not to lag . The file is a 1080p24 HEVEC episode of The Simpsons. I'm playing it with VLC. It works for the most part, but there is the occasional grey patches and screen going blank with just audio. Will it be able to play 1080p60 HEVEC if I upgraded to IOS11? Or re-encoded to mp4 HEVEC? [link] [comments]  | ||
| Posted: 25 May 2018 07:32 AM PDT I bought Things 3.0, which is a nice, simple app, but it doesn't really do things I'd like, such as priority or showing all tasks for a day without putting things into areas. I am disappointed with it, and it cost a lot of money for an app. Any suggestions on good planner, tasks, and to-do apps? I'd prefer a paid app that doesn't have ads or in-app purchases, unless the in-app purchase is solely for a pro version. I have an iPad Pro 12.9 (2017) 256 GB, if it matters. I also have an Apple Pencil. EDIT: I paid $20 (!!) for Things 3.0. Holy shit. Anybody got tips for making it more useful? I'd hate to waste that money. [link] [comments]  | ||

A question about importing/exporting in the Comic Zeal app. Posted: 25 May 2018 06:23 AM PDT Hello, I had an old Macbook from 2007 that totally crapped out on me recently and along with it my comic book collection that I have saved currently on my old iPad 2. I recently received a newer iPad as a gift (iPad Air 2) now when I currently open up Comic Zeal on both the old iPad and the new one. I see the option to import new comics but I cannot find any options on how to export the comics that are on there already and transfer them somehow. I currently have more than enough space on my Dropbox and my ICloud drive to fully export these items and then transfer them to the new iPad but for the life of me I just cannot figure out a way to do it. I know the old way of using iTunes on the computer but that's no longer an option for me as I've stated earlier my computer brain farted and died earlier this year. So yeah, there has to be a way for me to transfer these files. It just seems so easy if there was only an export button there but nope! So yeah, if there is anybody out there that can give me some useful information or point me in the right direction to getting this done properly it would be extremely appreciated! I have an mini 4, 2nd gen 12.9, 10.5 and I can't tell the difference between the mini 2 and 12.9 in regular tasks. It's only missing touchid and split view browser. | Posted: 24 May 2018 04:48 PM PDT Hello reddit community. I recently bought an iPad 9.7 2018 32GB and I've been having horrible experiences with the internet connection. I connect to a 5GHZ WIFI band and it will connect with no issues, I could use google chrome, browse a website and then it will just say" cannot connect to sever. I switch to any other app and it will do the same thing. I then switch the WiFi on and off and I can browse again. This has not happened on any other devices on my network. I have reset my modem and WiFi router, I have also have tried doing a reset and restore and it's still doing the same thing. I called Apple support and they want me to take it in but the nearest store near me is a 2 hour drive and I would like to avoid that trip. Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks! I'm only going to be using it for note taking (which will include things like split screening a powerpoint along with notability) and probably watching some Youtube videos, but that's it. My issue is that I want to be using the iPad for notetaking pretty much all day, so I'm not sure which iPad to get at the moment as the pros have the laminated display, but I've also heard that won't make a difference unless you're making art or doing very precise things like engineering blueprints. I'm only going to be doing things like writing math, so precision doesn't really concern me. Thank you all. [link] [comments]  |
