iPad 1 Safari browser stopped playing m.youtube videos - any help? Posted: 30 May 2018 08:53 AM PDT A few weeks ago my ancient iPad 1 finally gave up what little use I was still able to make of it. Until then, I've been happily playing YouTube videos (using m.youtube URLs) via the stock Safari browser for years, since the official app stopped working. I've been searching online for a solution, but everything that might be useful involves jailbreaking and owning another Mac and/or using iTunes, to get apps to work. My iPad 1 is not jailbreaken (or whatever the correct term is) and as this is my only Apple device, I'm not sure I can really benefit even if I wanted to do this?! Whenever I search for help, folks who have had problems still seem able to play YouTube video in their browsers, offering help with complicated app solutions I don't understand. When I try to play a video now, although the page still loads, I get an error message saying "an error occurred when trying to perform this operation" in the video box, and no video will play. I've only ever used the Safari browser, and appreciate it's very poor now - crashing under the weight of most websites. However I'm curious if there's a simple trick I'm missing, to get YouTube videos via the mobile site? I've tried obvious things like clearing the cache. Apologies if this has been asked and answered already, however all my searches have suggested that other iPad 1 users encountering YouTube problems are still able to use the mobile site in browsers. I'm quite happy using a browser and the mobile site. I'm not really Mac literate enough to do anything complex unfortunately. Is this really the end of being able to play YouTube video on my admittedly ancient device? Many thanks in advance for any and all help! [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 May 2018 04:34 AM PDT I bought the new IPad and can not download any apps. I had accidentally deleted one and downloaded it again just fine but tried to download another app and I type my iCloud password and the loading circle changes but then the button says GET. [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 May 2018 12:38 PM PDT I know I have seen many reports of people saying only the 29W Charger works, or the 60w charger works but but isn't as good as the 29w. So Can someone guide me in the right way? I have a third party one for my iPhone X and it's doesn't support the iPad Pro. So I'd like to get official one this time if it's works the best. What Wall Charger charges the iPad pro with Fast Charge? I know only the official USB Type C to lightning Cable works. :) [link] [comments]
Is this a good deal? Or should I wait? Posted: 30 May 2018 12:18 PM PDT Hello everyone! So I'm finally deciding to get an iPad after dealing with my crappy Samsung Tab s2 for over a year. I found a local seller selling his iPad 2017 32gb for 255 and I got him to lower the price to 220. The iPad is basically brand new and the only flaw for me is the storage since I could always use some more storage but I think I'll be fine. I'll mainly be using the iPad for video streaming and internet with some gaming like Baldur's gate and final fantasy. I'm just wondering if I should pull the trigger or wait to see if the iPad prices drop after WWDC? I'm trying to save money but I wouldn't mind shelling a bit more my max budget is $300. Still new to iPads so some advice would be great! Edit: Also found another seller selling his iPad Pro 9.7 128gb for $300 not the best condition though [link] [comments]
iPad mini 4 speaker quiet and sounds bad Posted: 30 May 2018 02:13 AM PDT Nothing's working. I've tried cleaning the speaker grilles with toothbrush and blu-tack. Restored it. No difference. It wasn't always like this though. When this iPad was still new the speaker was very good. It was loud, clear, and has a little bit of bass. Now 2 years later, the speaker quality is now bad. My cousin has a 1st gen iPad mini that is almost 4 years old and his iPad is louder than mine... Pls help... how do i make my speaker loud again? Is my speaker bad? [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 May 2018 10:03 AM PDT I am planning to buy iPad Pro 2017 10.5 (64GB). But I'm waiting until WWDC. So if new iPad Pro's are released by how much do you guys think the price of 2017 iPad Pro's will be reduced. (Approx based on previous iPad) [link] [comments]

Posted: 30 May 2018 06:50 AM PDT Does anyone else here think that product refreshes are too fast? I realize that there is always new tech available and it would be nice to always have the latest improvements. However, in comparison to game consoles that have at least a 4 year life span before the next generation comes in, i can't help but wish that this would be the same for apple/mobile devices. With consoles, games are optimized better through the life span of the console. I could imagine that this could be the same for apps- and i dont mind paying more for apps so long as the hardware doesnt get left in the dust so fast. The rate of which these products get replaced is just way too fast for me. What are the benefits of that to the consumers? Do you believe otherwise? TLDR; I want Ipads to keep the same model every 3 to 4 years. This way, the features for the next genaration will be a dramatic change and a much worthy upgrade. [link] [comments]

Should I worry about the camera lens getting scratched on iPad Pro 10.5 inch model? Posted: 29 May 2018 04:49 PM PDT I bought an iPad Pro 10.5 model recently. I'm a happy user so far! One thing that's been concerning me is the worry about the camera lens getting scratched. I prefer to keep my iPad as thin as possible. I'm using just the magnetic front cover for my iPad to keep the front screen covered at least. Should I get some kind of cover for the camera lens? I plan to use my iPad mostly indoor. Hope the camera lens won't get scratched while it's placed on the table and such. [link] [comments]
iOS 11.4 appears to fix charging bug (Logitech Create KB) Posted: 29 May 2018 05:51 PM PDT There were recent comments on Logitech's own forums to the effect that the iOS 11.4 beta fixed the bug that has been preventing recharging on an iPad Pro 9.7 connected via the Smart Connector to a Logitech Create keyboard. However, it was mentioned that this fix might not make it into a regular release until iOS 12. I can report that my iPad Pro is successfully charging although connected to the Create keyboard. Replacing my 2013 11" MacBook Air with an 2018 iPad? Posted: 29 May 2018 04:35 PM PDT Basically my MacBook Air is starting to get slow and have a couple of other issues. I'm thinking about replacing it with the new iPad. I'm mainly using it for browsing, social media, listening to music and checking email. I don't really need it for work and similar. My biggest worry has been going without a keyboard. I've been looking at the Brydge keyboards and they look brilliant. Still way cheaper than a decent laptop. Will an iPad work for me? Posted: 29 May 2018 02:39 PM PDT My Ipad isn't charging. I've used different chargers, restarted the Ipad and done about everything I could think of the fix it. But it didn't work. What could I do? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 May 2018 04:01 PM PDT I have an LTE enabled iPad. I purchased the T-Mobile 5GB for 5 months deal that I was only able to locate through the iPad's settings. I've already almost run out of the allotment and was wondering if there are similar services that you guys know of or any promotions other companies may be running. Thanks! [link] [comments]

Is anyone else having a loading issue with GoodNotes? Posted: 29 May 2018 07:14 PM PDT Both on my iPad 10.5 and on my Mac, GoodNotes seems to lag a lot. Some of the PDFs take ages to load up and even then sometimes they're still blurry since they haven't fully loaded. This usually takes about 45 seconds to fully load. I'm not sure why this is happening since I am on a good internet connection if that even matters. This makes Digital Planning basically useless as my PDFs take too long to load when they actually do load. Is anyone else having the same issue where GoodNotes just became super laggy? Is there any way to prevent accidentally swiping away an app on the switcher? Posted: 29 May 2018 11:30 PM PDT On the iPhone X, you have to hold down the top app "card" until the minus buttons appear, and then you can swipe up applications to close them. This is very nice as it prevents you from accidentally closing applications. On the iPad, this is not the case, and applications can very easily be knocked away, especially when using the Pencil. For people like myself using the iPad for productivity, this can cause a significant amount of state/data loss. Is there any setting or feature that either makes the iPad app switcher behave more like the iPhone X switcher, or at least makes accidental flicks less likely? [link] [comments] |
