PSA: if you’re having 10 second skip issues.. Posted: 12 Apr 2018 10:18 PM PDT ..your Siri remote is likely defective. Call Apple support and get a new one. For me the skip feature has been unreliable since I upgraded from the 4th gen. It would either sometimes work, not work, or just pause. Fed up I finally made that call to Apple support and they agreed it wasn't working correctly. The new remote came today and it works perfectly. [link] [comments]
What apps do you use regularly other than TV/movie streaming? Posted: 12 Apr 2018 05:00 PM PDT I got an AppleTV a few months ago, but really just have stuck to Netflix, GlobalTV, CityTV, and CBC apps (I'm Canadian). I have Crackle to watch one show. What else do you use on your AppleTV? I haven't ventured past these and would like to take more advantage of it (other than AirPlay). Thanks! [link] [comments]
Sports Streaming Apps Intentionally Lowering Quality Posted: 13 Apr 2018 03:34 AM PDT I've been using streaming apps on the Apple TV for a little over a year and in the last month I've noticed significant quality drops inside apps that were once highly reliable. These include ESPN, NBC Sports, and Fox Sports Go. Fox Sports Go has been biggest culprit for two reasons. It used to support multiple HD streams without buffering or lag and now it can barely produce what looks like a 420p stream. What's worse is the commercials seem to be Full HD (I'm guessing this is at least in part due to contractual obligations to advertisers). Has anyone else noticed quality drops across the board on these or additional apps? Is anyone able to still able to stream HD on Fox Sports Go? [link] [comments]
