What to do with my old 2010 MB Pro 13' Posted: 07 Apr 2018 10:16 PM PDT I am upgrading to a new MacBook soon. Waiting until after WWDC18. I could ask a million questions about that, but I'll keep it short. What should I do with my 2010 MB pro 13' after upgrading? Ebay? Donation? I don't expect to get more than a couple hundred for it, but I'd like to get something if possible. Basically, what would you do in my position? The laptop is still running great besides the battery capacity (about half of what it was originally). Small hairline (barely noticeable) scratches all over and only a few slightly deeper ones. A dent on the bottom of the laptop. Overall, I have taken care of it the 8 years I have had it and it is obvious. I am sad to part with it, but definitely don't want to hoard it. [link] [comments] |
Can I rename my HDD without reformatting? Posted: 07 Apr 2018 07:30 PM PDT I just bought a used Macbook, and when the guy factory reset it he named the hard drive "Untitled." I just spent overnight downloading and installing High Sierra on my super slow internet, so I'd like to avoid reformatting and having to do that again. Is this possible with Disk Utility or any third party program? [link] [comments] |
Macbook 12 2016 High Sierra WiFi drops Posted: 07 Apr 2018 01:03 PM PDT Hi everyone, I'm making this post due to frustration with Wifi dropping on my MacBook. The signal is still 100% when it stops working but I have to always turn Wifi off then back on... It happens occasionally, not all the time but at the worst times like watching a Youtube video. It has happened out of the box, and is a refurb unit from IBM. I tried clean install already. Is this a bug with my router or do I need to send it back? Thanks [link] [comments] |
Ultra-wide Monitor Recommendations for 2017 MacBook Pro Posted: 07 Apr 2018 03:25 PM PDT Which monitor would you go with for a 2017 MacBook Pro 15"? I've listed two monitors that I've been looking at below. Are there any other monitors that I should consider? LG 38WK95C-W 38-Inch Class 21:9 Curved UltraWide WQHD+ Monitor with HDR 10 LG 34WK95U-W 34-Inch Class 21:9 UltraWide® 5K Nano IPS LED Monitor with HDR 600 (34" Diagonal) [link] [comments] |
Has anyone successfully installed Windows 10 Education through bootcamp? Posted: 07 Apr 2018 10:39 AM PDT Learned that I can get W10 Edu for free from my university, but started to wonder if the process to install it through bootcamp is same as usual W10. I have googled a bit about the process and it seems for some people W10 Education ISO from Microsoft was not recognized by bootcamps as viable. [link] [comments] |
