| Editing STL Files in CAD on IPad Pro Posted: 22 Feb 2018 08:44 AM PST Hello, I was just wondering if there is a good iPad Pro app to edit STL files. I've tried out several CAD apps, such as Shapr3D and Concepts, however, the field they take as inputs are JPEGs, PNGs, Adobe CCs, etc. and not the good ole' STL. From what I understand, there are profession-type tools, such as those Autodesk, however, I don't have the methods of creating and purchasing the necessary licenses to really make use of their iOS app. Does anyone know of any good iOS apps that can edit STL files for the average person? I have seen comments asking for deals so I decided to create this post with a link for both the 10.5 and the second gen. 12.9. I live in the US, so I am unsure about deals in Canada, UK etc.,. Even though Best Buy's price matching policy says 'must be in a 25 mile radius', some have gotten it to work. Staples also price matches while taking off 10%! I admit I have no clue when it coems to iPads. which is a new model, screen sizes etc... Which model do you think would be a good alternative to the mini? | iPad Air Help - Corrupted iOS and won't repair Posted: 22 Feb 2018 07:36 AM PST Hey all, I have an iPad Air that crashed in the middle of an update to 11.2.5. The screen remains black, and when I plug it into iTunes it wants me to recover it, which I try to do, but the install bar will get about 3/4 the way across the screen and it will bomb out with an failure. If I hold down the correct buttons, I can get the "Connect to iTunes" screen to appear, but never more than that. I even purchased software the is supposed to repair "bricked" iOS devices through DFU mode, but those fail about halfway through the process too. How do I recover this thing? My Logitech Ultrathin has been retaining connection to my 2017 iPad, but the keyboard stops working even while the function keys still work. I have to reboot to get keyboard functionality back. | Ipad pro Mirroring and Astropad? Posted: 21 Feb 2018 09:37 PM PST I need to give a work presentation. I want to be able to walk around the room and write notes on my iPad pro but have those notes project via LCD projector which will be connected to my macbook. (This is my only option for projecting the presentation.) So I need a mirroring app. Does Astropad also work as a mirroring app besides converting my iPad into drawing tablet? I don't want to control my MacBook apps from my iPad. I want to do the reverse. I need to annotate on my iPad during the presentation. If Astropad won't do this, can anyone recommend an app that will. I already tried Reflector but I hate how reflector creates a window that I can not expand full screen. [link] [comments]  |
| Update: white screen black Apple logo + can’t download apps Posted: 21 Feb 2018 04:00 PM PST Hello, I bought a used iPad (stated has new only opened the box and returned). I turned on and setup started when he started download 11.25 went on a loop and downloaded over and over again never installing, I had to go via iTunes and managed to install it and complete the setup. After that I tried to download some apps, it have failed several times. I changed the date to 1 year later (read it on google) and WiFi wouldn't work, couldn't download or access anything online, changed back and managed to download the apps (weeeiirrrdd) NEXT... today I saw 11.26 was out I updated my iPhone and thought let's see if the iPad is good, downloaded the firmware , went to install it and white screen black Apple logo appeared and nothing happened I pressed home and power and the iPad booted but no firmware installed! Soooooo.... what's going on here? Never in my life (iPhone 3/4/5/6/8 - iPad 3) I had a single issue with a firmware update or seen this white screen "freeze" What should I do? Hard reset? | [HELP] PDFs disappearing from iBooks once I try to upload it to iCloud. Posted: 22 Feb 2018 04:51 AM PST I just received an iPad mini 1st gen with the latest IOS compatible to it(9.3.5). I transferred all of my PDFs from my other device through SHAREit and I was able to make them show up on my iBooks library by clicking on it on the SHAREit app and choosing the 'open in iBooks' option. Everything seemed okay and I was able to upload it to iCloud and it's all well without it disappearing. But earlier today I was cleaning my iCloud and I accidentally deleted all my PDF from it. I panicked cause it was also deleted on iBooks but when I checked my SHAREit I was thankful it is still there. I tried doing what I did before, clicking on my files and choosing the 'open in iBooks' option so I could see it all on my library nice and piled. The problem is if I upload all my PDFs back to iCloud it wont upload but instead it deletes my PDFs from my iBook. I tried piling them up again from SHAREIt and uploading it over and over but it still disappears. A little help, please. [link] [comments]  |
