Accessory Suggestions for the Apple Pencil Posted: 24 Feb 2018 05:21 AM PST Hey guys, I've got an Apple Pencil and I'm looking for any suggestions or hacks to increase its grip and make it really accessible by storing it close to my iPad. I use the Smart Keyboard for notes and work, and the pencil for drafts, presenting and teaching (and doodling around of course), but it's a hassle to reach out for the pencil in my bag and sometimes I misplace it and forget to carry it along too lol. I've browsed Amazon a lot, and there are many tempting accessories with good reviews, but I was hoping to hear from you guys on how do you make your Apple Pencil accessible (case, magnetic sleeve, holder, etc) and if there's any particular grip that you can recommend (which hopefully is dust resistant and requires minimal cleaning). So far I've liked the Stylus Sling and perhaps a grip accessory to go along with it. And I like this Magnetic Sleeve , it's simple and practical but I'm not sure how strong the magnet is, and if my pencil will be able to cling to my case while I'm using the keyboard lol. Anyways, thanks for reading, looking forward to your recommendations! [link] [comments] |
Co-working with ipad pro app and browser in macbook pro Posted: 24 Feb 2018 01:44 PM PST < new to this sub-reddit, please bear with my naive questions > I have this app, Notability on my ipad pro which helps me annotate whiteboards as well as screenshots of slides or simply a pdf. Recently, I wish to move back and forth between my notes taken on a Chrome/Safari browser in my mac pro and my iPad. I often end up with having to save the webpage as a pdf and then airdrop over to my iPad pro. Can I do better? I wish to save the time spent on creating an unnecessary pdf file and then moving to the iPad pro. One band-aid solution is to dump all the notes to Notes app and then export them over. Preferably, I would love to know if there is a good substitute (paid is ok) for this use-case. [link] [comments] |

Just bought an Ipad Pro 10.5 Black Screen, Help, ive done everything Posted: 24 Feb 2018 12:52 PM PST 2 days ago i bought an Ipad pro 10.5 from amazon, it was listed as certified refurbished and was supported by amazon prime. The seller had amazing reviews. Well....today i got the device in the mail. Plugged it up and let it charge for a bit. I fired the device up and started the setup process. Right after i set up my wifi the screen went black. It is back lit so i know it is on but it is black. I can also hear the click when i wake up and sleep the device. I know that it is charging as well because i can see its percentage go up through itunes on my laptop. I started researching and found the steps to follow for the "black screen of death". Hard reset the device by holding the home and power button and so on. I even hooked it up to my computer to update it to the latest software and restored it. but it did nothing. The screen is still a back lit black. If anyone has any experience with this please help. It is extremely frustrating spending so much money on a device and the day i get it it doesnt work. No one in the reviews of this product had ever reported any type of problems like this. Just trying to find out if there were any other solutions before i contact the seller and go through that whole headache. Thank you in advance. [link] [comments] |

Would you trust a "kid case" or a "rugged" case more? Posted: 23 Feb 2018 05:38 PM PST Just got a new ipad and I don't wanna take any risks with it. I wanna get an idiot-proof case for it. I see things like the Fintie kiddie cases vs the more rugged otterbox-like cases. I dunno which would be more reliable or cost efficient. Can anyone speak from experience? Thanks [link] [comments] |
