- I have a broken iPhone6 that won't turn on, I think the guy at Apple said it's the battery. If I sell it to someone is there any chance that they can get any of my information from it?
| A transparent iPhone case that does not turn brown? Posted: 24 Jan 2018 04:02 PM PST I really love having transparent/clear iPhone cases so I can see the color of my phone through them. My only issue with them (besides the fact that they can get dirty quickly) is that the case fades to a brown color over time. I've gone through maybe 4 or 5 clear cases, all of which have turned brown/yellow eventually. Note that they are not turning brown because of dirt, but perhaps from the radiation of the phone? I bought a clear Speck case, and the guy assured me it would never turn brown... but here we are. Any clear cases that don't do this, or should I just stick to solid black? Thanks! | iPhone Battery Replacement Issue Posted: 24 Jan 2018 08:51 PM PST I contacted apple about my battery issue on my iphone 6. My phone dies at 10% no matter what. They checked the battery and said it was consumed. This is weird because i had the battery replaced at batteryplus in May 2017. Anyways, I went into the apple store and they were out of batteries. They sent in an order on Jan. 10th. How long does it take for them to get the battery in? And will having the battery replaced by a third party affect the repair? [link] [comments]  |

Posted: 24 Jan 2018 02:01 PM PST hey. i bought a second hand iPhone 6 Plus second hand a few weeks ago and it was too late to discover that it will not work w/ my carrier. when i tried to get it unlocked from the american at&t website, it said that the imei cannot be unlocked by them. so after digging around and finding my serial number, i found out that i have to get in unlocked by at&t puerto rico & virgin islands so... it's pretty obvious i dont live in any of these territories and i'm not even sure if the phone is paid off but i need help with this issue. when i contacted at&t the were incompetent as usual and apple didn't know jack shit... can anyone help me get my phone unlocked???? | Considering first iPhone - questions Posted: 24 Jan 2018 12:10 PM PST I'm looking to buy my first iPhone; I've been using an iPod Touch for years, but with the 64+ GB ones becoming harder to find and the fact that my current cell phone is 10 years old, and I'm going to be in situations where I need access to the internet without a wifi signal, I figure it's time to upgrade to an actual iPhone. 1) I'm not sure which model, so was hoping for suggestions. I've heard that a version or some versions don't have a headphone jack and/or home button? I've also heard that there are accessories that add a headphone jack? A large percentage of my iPod use is listening to music/audiobooks/livestreams/etc while at work, with my iPod kept plugged in, so being able to do the same (headphones + charging) with an iPhone is a must. (I also want to avoid those tiny little wireless headphones because afaik they're expensive, I've never liked the headphones that come with iPods, and I lose things very easily.) 2) The latest one, I've heard, has a big notch on the top of the screen. How does that work with things like apps? 3) I've previously done only pay-as-you-go cards with Tracfone, so the world of cell phone plans and data and whatnot is uncharted territory for me. I've asked what carriers people have around here and most people say Verizon or AT&T. Any suggestions on what to look for in a plan in general, or any specific ones? (I could see myself using a lot of data: any good unlimited data plans out there for a reasonable price? I don't make a lot of actual calls so I don't need a ton of minutes or anything; I always did the minimum on my tracfone.) [link] [comments]  |
| Iphone 5 with broken display, can't chose "trust this computer" to gain access Posted: 24 Jan 2018 10:28 AM PST I used this phone back in 2014, dropped it and shattered the glass, continued using it until the left part of the display stopped working and I had to get a new one. The display looks fine with no distortions. It's a vertical straight line between the home button and the front-camera. The touch works perfectly on the right side but not at all on the left. It is ios 7.1. All I wan't is to get all the photos from the phone. What are my options? [link] [comments]  |
