    Archive keyboard shortcut in mail

    Hi Gang,

    Wondering if it's just me, or if others have noticed this behaviour too...

    I tend to be a little obsessive about keeping my inbox clean. So after I've read an email I'll immediately archive it. I generally do this either on my mac or iPad Pro, because the keyboard shortcut is convenient. However, I've noticed that the archive shortcut (and only that one) frequently stops working, requiring a reboot to get it going again. All other keyboard shortcuts work, and it's not a key problem - the ctrl key works fine in apps like Prompt even while the shortcut is failing in mail.

    iPad as a writing input: tablet for PC/MacBook?

    Hi,

    do you have any tips or suggestions how to use iPad as an input device for drawing or for handwritten note-taking, when teaching? I would like to use a stylus pen, and have the whole thing connected to my macbook pro.

    I would like to avoid hassle with another dedicated hardware....

    Where can I find an effective refurbished iPad Pro 10.5?

    Currently, I'm on a technology search from returning to University, and I'm looking for an iPad Pro 10.5 (or 9.7), since it's the only few that have Pencil support.

    I'm also on a financial tight at the moment, so I'm looking for cheaper refurbished models. Around $400-600 is a safe spending point (Apple Pencil included).

    [Question] Notability vs Noteshelf 2 (Student's prospective)

    I was looking on the web for the "best" note-taking ipad app. The two names that repeatedly came up were notability and noteshelf. Can anyone share experience with one/both? I'm a student who is going to record the lecture while taking notes. (Yes, I ask for permission before recording my professors)

    Notability Users: Is there any way to change the order the notes are displayed in within subjects?

    I can see the setting to change between Name, Modified, and Created date but is there a way I can change the Created date to go in order of oldest to newest instead of putting the newest at the top?

    iPad Mini 2: After 4 Years!

    Whenever my charge my iPad Air 2, the charger makes a quiet noise, heats up until it burns to the touch, and smells strongly of... rubber?

    This happened recently, figuring the charger was no longer working, I purchased another iPad charger. An hour later the same thing is happening again. I even plugged it in to my brothers iPad charger and it happened again. Could someone help me figure out what I should do from here? Cheers

    Documents by Readdle + OneDrive

    I've been using the Documents app with a few cloud storage services like DropBox and Google Drive. I also have a OneDrive subscription that I'd like to use with Documents but I repeatedly get a "Connection to the server failed" when I used the Automatic Sync feature with it.

    Strangely, upon refreshing OneDrive, the syncing process continues. It can download and sync small files with ease. However, with my limited internet speed, Documents can't download large files (>70mb) uploaded to OneDrive.

    The other services -- GDrive and DropBox --work fine. I could even store files worth half a gig and they would still sync.

    I was just wondering if there were others using OneDrive with Documents and experiencing the same issue.

    In the market for an iPad, first one actually. Been reading up on reviews on the new iPad and older iPad Air 2; and it seems both have their pros and cons.

    I am going to be buying used through Swappa so both are less than 300$.

    Anyone who has either or both can weigh in on which they like better. Will be used mainly for games honestly, lol, I play a lot of rhythm based games such as Cytus, Lanota, etc...Playing on my phone is cumbersome for those games now even on the iPhone X.

    Any duet display alternatives for drawing windows?

    From what I've read on this subreddit it seems it has major latency issues, especially with photoshop, and since that's what I primarily want to use that's a big problem. Astropad isn't an option because I'm on windows. I have Procreate, it's nice but there's no way it can replace photoshop.

    Are there any alternatives left?

    At my local community centre. I've posted about it once before, it's only a small group.

    Anyway, I was wondering, are there any apps I could install before they turn up that help to get to grips with using the ipad? Maybe a simple game that's good for getting used to the finger swipes etc?

    I'm conscious that previous lessons may have come across slightly boring. Lesson 1 tonight is -

    An overview of what the ipad can do A brief overview of the exterior (buttons, camera) The home screen the on screen keyboard Swiping and finger gestures the on screen keyboard

    It's all fine, it's gone ok before but it can feel a bit boring and it'd be nice to mix it up with a game or two.

    I have an iPad 2017 32gb. Sometimes I'll notice when I type some letters into Safari, like "bo" for example, the Siri Suggested Website will appear immediately and suggest a site like "Box Office Mojo". But sometimes it'll have a slight second delay. Like it'll pop up, but after a second instead of immediately(not even a full second, more like a millisecond?). Is this normal? Little things like this irritate me, sorry.

    My dream iPad would be a mini sized full screen tablet with minimal bezels, no home button, no Face ID, no cameras at all. Just a beautiful slate for consuming all media content and playing games. Fast processor, beautiful screen, four speakers, and volume controls that double as a power button.
