An appreciation for Inkle Studios Posted: 14 Jan 2018 10:45 PM PST I am currently playing 80 Days and the Sorcery! series, and I just wanted to share how much joy these games bring me. The idea of story-driven games isn't a new one, but Inkle's masterful execution has given players an experience that makes me wish there were more free hours in the day to go through it. For those who have not tried the games or are on the fence, imagine taking a classic story and loosely turning it into a choose your own adventure game where every action has a different set of outcomes. Sure, there will be deviation from the core stories these are based on, but it leads to an outcome that isn't predictable and becomes its own original experience. As I go through each step, I find myself carefully thinking through the possible repercussions each decision may have. It's like picking up a good book and immersing yourself in it to a point where you simply can't put it down because you feel so invested. If I had one complaint about the games, it's that they aren't optimized for the iPhone X yet. Regardless, I hardly notice. Also they are working on a new game called Heaven's Vault. Reading about the development process just shows how deep the team really thinks through it's games: https://heavens-vault-game.tumblr.com [link] [comments]
Played Fling Fighters over the weekend and here is my short review of it... Posted: 14 Jan 2018 11:22 PM PST Was searching for a game that I can play with my son. We enjoyed Super Smash Bros. When I see Fling Fighters and the fact that it has PVP mode, I decided to give it a try. The game started out fun. You fling whatever item you are holding (different character hold different items) and just throw it to hit your enemy. Your throw is guided by an ever-changing guided dotted line. However, the game quickly becomes quite tedious. True that you can unlock characters, however, these characters do not provide much variety in terms of gameplay wise. Those that I have unlocked follow the same mechanic. Then it gets worse, if you'd like to upgrade your character, it will cost premium currency which they don't give too much either. At the very least, I would expect an option to upgrade with soft currency + time. The game also has ads after several battles. All in all, it is enjoyable in the beginning, but quickly becomes stale after a few hours. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jan 2018 11:40 PM PST As the title says I'm looking for a good 2D arena top down multiplayer shooter. An example is Arrow.io. Preferably, the game starts even for all players and simple progression occurs per match, and the rounds are short. Thanks for your suggestions! [link] [comments]

What are some good free games to grind upgrades and the like Posted: 14 Jan 2018 07:33 PM PST Games like punch quest already kinda feel completed after almost all of the stuff has been gotten, and Jetpack joyride was kinda boring, so what are some great games where you get coins and buy upgrades or cosmetics, as well as it is an infinite game so to speak, where there is no hard ending. Thanks for the recommendations, I need them for the boring parts of life. [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jan 2018 03:26 PM PST I want to find a game that's space/sci fi themed and isn't just one where you fly around a ship with infinite ammo and shoot aliens. [link] [comments]
Games like Fire Ebblem Heroes?? Posted: 14 Jan 2018 07:33 PM PST I have found The Alchemist Code, Fantasy War Tactics R, and the upcoming Tactical Monsters. Which is the best of these? What am I missing? Thanks. [link] [comments]

Posted: 14 Jan 2018 07:36 PM PST I'm looking for a game that is: -Portrait mode (doesn't have to be one handed just don't like landscape) -Progression/RPG -online with some sort of PvP Post any games that meet some or all of these criteria friends [link] [comments]
Posted: 14 Jan 2018 02:37 PM PST Anyone know of any decent grindy mobile games? I have played marvel contest of champions and was wondering if there were any other types of grindy out there like it that had a long progression system. [link] [comments]

KoTOR/Jade Empire on iPhone 6s? Posted: 14 Jan 2018 03:13 PM PST I love KoTOR, and would be happy to have a mobile version to take around with me! But I'm worried that the UI scaling will be too minuscule for my phone to reasonably handle. Anyone with a iPhone and a similar screen size played KoTOR and found it fun? [link] [comments]
Question about (importing) GTA save files?! Posted: 14 Jan 2018 12:02 PM PST To preface this - I am a total noob and just started to look into the following thing over the weekend. I would appreciate your thoughts on this. The GTA bundle (III, VC and SA) by Rockstar Games is unfortunately not available uncut in a few locations, so I am stuck with the censored versions. Loading an American or UK save file into your game is apparently known to remedy this and make the game uncut. So, in short, I would simply need a file for each game. My phone is not jailbroken. Apple disabled various downloadable desktop applications from being able to access app files after iOS 8, so what I have been attempting with downloaded save files has absolutely not been working. But I just checked San Andreas in-game and there are two Cloud save slots. Would it be possible for me to download a cloud save file and use it on my iPhone, or is this also impossible?
