    Have an Apple TV 4K and built up my library in iTunes, but all of my other movies are stored on a hard drive that I connect to Infuse. Is there any way to import my iTunes purchases to Infuse so I can have all of my media in one place? Would the 4K HDR movies still play to the fullest resolution or should I just stick with the stock Movies/TV apps?

    ATV 4K dynamic range matching and Netflix HDR

    Ok bear with me here:

    I have an ATV 4K hooked to a Samsung HDR tv. Since most of the content I watch is SDR, I have the ATV set to 4 k SDR as the normal outbound and have dynamic range matching turned on so when when I do watch an HDR title on Netflix, it will switch to HDR. All of this works fine.

    The issue I have is that when browsing Netflix, it does not show the HDR badge for HDR content. It will show the badge if I set the ATV to 4K HDR, however. In either case the content actually displays in i just cant see the HDR label in the Netflix description unless the ATV is set to 4K HDR.

    Does anyone else see this? This is not the way it works on the Roku Netflix app...

    Lag while mirroring on Apple TV 4l

    Whenever I watch a movie and mirror it to the the TV the movie runs smoothly on my iMac but on the TV it lags a lot. I have the new Apple TV 4K and a late 2013 iMac running on High Sierra if that makes a difference. Does anyone know what the issue is? Thanks.

    HDR issue with Dolby Vision movies on KS8000

    I know KS8000 isn't Dolby Vision compatible but it should at least be able to output the movies in hdr10. Only the iTunes Store movies that have DV are doing this weird thing with the blacks switching from dark to crushed every 5-10 seconds. Here's a video I took. https://youtu.be/nxnbNS70VHQ

    Redeeming SD digital code on iTunes SD to HD /4K upgrade?

    I've searched all day and couldn't find an answer to my current situation.

    I found a very old Prometheus digital code in my Blu-ray library and without hesitation I redeemed it in iTunes even thou I had already redeemed it on Vudu a few years back. And It actually worked even thou it had expired in 2014, but it was an SD digital code (didn't notice it was SD) so even thou I already had HD (thanks to Movies Anywhere) I wanted that sweet 4K upgrade, now it downgraded me to SD but only on Apple TV and iTunes on my Mac.

    It actually plays in HD (I'm pretty sure it's 4K)on my iPhone and iPad so I have two questions.

    1. Has anyone redeemed SD digital copy and then been upgraded to HD, if so was it immediate or did it take a few days?
    2. Has anyone tried buying an HD movie even thou you already bought the SD? Did it charge you or did iTunes say you already own that movie?

    Im pretty sure I'm gonna have to buy the movie in HD but I wanted to wait a few days jist in case iTunes does me right.

    Does your Apple TV remote app on your phone need to reconnect every time your phone goes into sleep mode.

    Every time my screen turns off while using the atv remote app on my iPhone it loses its connection to the atv. Then the app says Apple TV offline even when I'm actually watching something on the atv. To get it to find the atv to connect I have to put my phone in airplane mode for a few seconds and then the app sees my atv again. Does this sound like a WiFi router issue?

    Prime Video Fail

    Ok don't know if anyone else is having this problem, but Prime Video app is no longer playing videos properly. They play maybe a minute and then stop with an error message saying video cannot be played at this time. Pick another video and same happens. All other video apps working fine. Can't say I'm impressed with it so far.

    Apple remote not working with Jackbox app

    Has anyone else experienced this?

    I've downloaded the app (party pack 3) and it allows me to navigate to the first game with the remote, but none of the others. I'm using the latest generation of Apple TV, with an older remote.

    Any ideas?

    A little disappointed in Apple TV after getting a smart tv

    Not bashing my Apple TV. I like it a lot and I've loved apple tvs since the 3rd gen, but i just got a new 4K smart tv a few days ago and was blown away by how much better apps and interface were for things like Netflix and YouTube. YouTube was SO much better and less buggy than the Apple TV version that i just cant see myself watching it on the Apple TV ever again. And oddly enough, same goes for AirPlay. Well, it might be called something different, but the function is the same. When i wanna display content on my tv from my phone, its far smoother doing it with the smart TV vs the Apple TV and airplay. This part really shocked me considering I'm fully in the apple ecosystem and all the devices should work so well together.

    If it weren't for playing my iTunes library, i probably wouldn't have an Apple TV at this point

    How to check Apple TV 4K is working properly?

    Is there a way to make sure the videos are actually playing in 4K? My tv info while at the Apple TV menus will say 2160p Dolby Vision but when i start up a movie I've purchased through iTunes, the tv info will now switch to 2160p normal. I also noticed while watching any of the 4K movies, the swipe down info panel says the movie is HD and does not show the 4K icon. The only time I've seen a big difference in quality is the aerial screensavers and the movies have never looked similar to that quality. I'm pretty sure I've set up everything properly between my tv and the Apple TV and a proper 4K hdmi and my internet speed is 60mbps. Am i missing something or is this normal?

    lost my remote, can I add 3rd party one without the original remote? (4th gen)

    I'm out of town staying with family for the next month and I brought my 4th gen AppleTV with me. Unfortunately I forgot the remote so now I can't use it.. :(

    I can't use my iPhone as the remote because they need to be on the same wifi and I can't setup the wifi on the apple tv without a remote.

    I see a bunch of third party remotes on Amazon but some posts I've found online indicate that I'll need a remote to be able to setup a new remote, so I'm a little hesitant to buy one.

    Has anyone had success with a third party remote without needing to set it up with the AppleTV? I don't care about how crappy it is or if it has siri or not, I just need to be able to do the basics.

    Music via Home Sharing - Randomly Stops Playing At the End of a Track

    Anyone else having this issue? It's new one as I've been using Home Sharing to listen to my music library for years. It seemed to have started happening after a software update a few months back.

    Setup is as follows:

    I listen to music on my living room speakers via the Apple TV and Home Sharing. Music Library is hosted on my desktop computer in another room. It's absolutely not an issue with internet speed/connectivity. I have both my Apple TV and desktop computer (the one that is "sharing" the music to the Apple TV) hardwired via Ethernet cable and my speeds are consistently 100Mbps down and 115Mbps up.

    Here is the issue:

    I'll put on an album to play start to finish (no shuffle/repeat). Occasionally what happens is after say Track 4 ends (doesn't matter the exact track number, just using Track 4 as an example) the music stops there and it will not proceed to Track 5 until I then manually select it again.

    Also not an issue of "perhaps you've been playing music too long and aren't there" as it will happen at any time, first album I put on for the day, and then sometimes it doesn't...

    Any ideas?

    so I have 2 4k ATVs (one in bedroom, one in living room), is it possible to keep apps synced between the two? So I don't have to do the App store download dance twice for everything?
