    This may be common knowledge amongst us, but did you guys know that the iPhone X can:

    • Reveal notification and messages for your eyes only.

    • Keep the screen lit when you're actively looking at it.

    • Lower the volume of an alarm or ringer, because you can hear it, already, I mean, you're right there.

    It's really annoying the headlines that keep coming up in my feed for example "[product] release date" then when you follow the link the article will say the release date is still to be announced.

    Ordered a bit late and only got Nov 10-17 delivery (confirmation e-mail), but when I checked the Apple Online Store page a few minutes ago, it's actually changed to Nov 3 (screenshot), hooray! Check your store page, guys!

    AT&T screwed me

    I was up at 2am eastern to order my phones from the AT&T site the moment the site came up. I got both my orders in, my card was charged, and both indicated a "deliver by" date of November 3rd.

    I received one of those "Preparing for shipment" emails for one phone, but not the other. Then, 12 hours later while at work, I got an email telling me that there was an (unspecified) issue with my order and that I need to call customer care to resolve it.

    This is where the nightmare really begins. They first tried to tell me that the only thing they can do is "re-process" my order. I asked what that meant. They said it has to be cancelled and re-ordered. They told me this means the "deliver by" date will now be updated accordingly, meaning I'll get my phone in mid December.

    I asked if we could do anything to avoid that, and got transferred to another person. This person told me that my "deliver by" date was not accurate, that the iPhone X isn't released yet (I know) and that AT&T will only ship the phones out "25-30 business date" after the November 3rd date. I told her this makes absolutely no sense. AT&T is lying to everyone about delivery dates and plans to sit on the phones for over a month after it releases before shipping?

    She re-affirmed this multiple times, so I asked her to focus on resolving the problem with my order without canceling it. She told me she'd get specialist on the line to help me, and transferred me.

    She cold transferred me to the 1-866 main ATT number. My God. I had been on the phone for an hour at this point, and she literally made me start from scratch.

    I went through all the prompts, waited 30 minutes on hold to get a person again, and verified all my account information for the 3rd time. We determined that she could not help me after another 30 minutes, and she said she was going to transfer me to her supervisor. I was on hold for yet another 30 minutes, when she came back and said her supervisor is now ready to speak with me.

    Then, she transferred me to the 1-866 ATT number... again. I was in complete disbelief. They weren't trying to help me at all, they were literally just dumping me off so that they could get off the phone. I was forced to go through all the prompts yet again, got back to someone who sounded very nice but knew no more than the other people I spoke with, I politely asked to speak to a manager, she said ok, no problem, please hold.

    An hour later, and this is not an exaggeration - I had restarted the call after the last transfer because the sound quality was awful from all the transfers, so my call timer was fresh - literally an hour of hold later is when the supervisor came on the line. At first he repeated what the other reps said, but after a while of back and forth and me telling my story he told me he can fix my problem and re-order my phone and promised me I would have it by November 3rd.

    I gave him my card info, I was charged a 3rd time, he said everything is all set, reaffirmed I'll get my phone on the third, I was really thankful and we disconnected.

    I went on the AT&T site to check my order status. The delivery date is now in mid December. I'm shocked. I spent 4 hours on the phone collectively... I was lied to and given incorrect information multiple times. I was charged for the phone a 3rd time for no reason. And in the end, nothing changed.

    This is the worst customer experience I've ever had in my life. Do I have any recourse at all, or am I completely screwed?

    What wireless charger are you planning on buying?

    I'm not exactly sure if the Belkin Boost Up Wireless Charging Pad the $60, I have an Anker on order for Wednesday delivery, but I've seen some mixed reviews. Wondering if it may be worth it to just cough up the extra $30 for an Apple recommended charger.

    The mophie may be a better option, but I'm not 100% sure.

    Tritone and custom notifications

    I've been waiting for years to be able to change the Tritone notification sound that is the default for many apps. Also to be able to choose my own sounds for things other than the standard phone, SMS, calendar etc. iOS keeps evolving yet so many iPhones sounds the same! Am I the only one bugged by this??
