Posted: 27 Oct 2017 02:58 PM PDT I ordered at 3:02 and had a November 10-17 delivery estimate. I just opened the app and it now says November 3rd. Just wanted to share the good news as it seems like it might apply to a lot of people. Edit: This post is about orders placed through Apple, not through T-Mobile itself. [link] [comments] |

PSA: You can pre-sign for delivery if you won’t be home Posted: 27 Oct 2017 05:06 PM PDT When you receive your tracking information, you will also get a link to a form you can fill out, print, and sign and leave on your door authorizing the driver to leave the package. But do this at your own risk as thieves have been known to follow trucks and snap up packages left during new iPhone delivery days. Even if you live in a nice area, there is still a risk. I just told Siri to play something I like Posted: 27 Oct 2017 11:05 AM PDT Just got home from work, and while walking through the rain, I thought I'd listen to something, so, being careful not to take my phone out (it's an SE) I told Siri to play something I like. And hot damn she nailed it. Through the dark night and the cold rain, "Have you ever seen the rain? " by Creedence Clearwater Revival started to play. I know it's just a coincidence, but hey, made my walk home a tad better. [link] [comments] |

I am Pleasantly Surprised with the Number of iPhone X Units Apple is Supplying Posted: 27 Oct 2017 07:24 AM PDT I stayed up for the pre-order, but we are on a business account and currently Apple doesn't do pre-orders for business accounts. Our tech guy at work called Verizon this MORNING to pre-order us 2 iPhone Xs and it said with shipping it should be here about December 8th. I don't like waiting, but I thought it would be worse than that, and I'm going to be very happy to have this phone over the holidays. [link] [comments] |
If you had trouble with Citizens One during the Pre-Order, reach out to Apple. Posted: 27 Oct 2017 07:51 PM PDT Apparently Citizens One was vastly underprepared for all the credit checking they were going to have to do last night and many people were given a message not to place another order, and to wait up to 8 hours before trying again. I let Apple know this and, this evening, received an email asking me to provide my Order number so they could look into those affected by Citizens One's outage. So, if you haven't already, let Apple know if you struggled with your credit check, especially if you got the "8 hours" message, and hopefully they can have some ammo to use against Citizens to make sure they do their best to avoid this in the future. In the email, it told me to check my order status again in 3 days. So it seems like there is definitely an effort to figure out what happened and what, if anything, can be done about it. For those who got a we have a phone reserved message. Posted: 27 Oct 2017 06:09 AM PDT Hopefully this will be allowed by the mods. I saw a lot of posts in the mega thread about receiving a reservation to complete orders. I replied to a few and made a new comment but hopefully this will be seen by more people. So last year I was in the same boat for my 7+ where I didn't get an order placed but had a phone reserved. I received the email to complete the order the next morning and it gives you 24 hours to complete. As long as your delivery date was the third you should get your phone on launch day. I was nervous the whole time thinking I was being placed further back but I received my phone on launch day and the phone was reserved for me just as the email stated. Hopefully this helps some of you guys out who received this same email and calm some of your nerves!! Happy iPhone Pre-order day every one!!! [link] [comments] |
Posted: 27 Oct 2017 07:16 PM PDT So many times I will open a message and close it, only to forget to reply later. I have the iPhone 7 and know about message preview but there are still times that this occurs and I am sure I'm not the only one - especially considering the 'read message earlier and forgot to reply' messages that I have received myself at times indicate otherwise. Simple feature, needs to exist. Add a "Select All" to the Mail app too for mass deletion. It is unacceptable that this does not exist in 2017 with mobile email usage where it's currently at. Small oversights, simple additions, major QOL improvements. [link] [comments] |

Apple Business Customers have special pre-order date of 10/30 @ 3pm PDT for iPhone X. Posted: 27 Oct 2017 09:02 PM PDT I have an Apple Business account for things like VPP and DEP, just logged in to see what the preorder experience was like. We get to order on the 30th... if it's anything like Series 3 pre-order it'll still come on Launch day. [link] [comments] |
