- iMessage issue? I run a business esim alongside my regular sim. If a customer sends a message to esim, and they have iMessage my phone automatically defaults to personal line and replies via my personal number, which is really less than ideal! Is anyone experiencing the same? What am I doing wrong?

| 160GB of videos/photos but can’t find a simple way to transfer them off of my phone for storage. Posted: 15 Mar 2022 02:00 PM PDT So I've been using iPhone since 2007 and aside from once or twice a long time ago (when there wasn't 4K or 60fps or slow motion or anything) I had transferred much of what was stored on my phone to free up space. But now I'm to the point where I barely take photos and especially videos because I'm at like 247/256GB used up on my phone. The biggest issue I've always had with iOS is that I could never find a simple way to transfer those photos/videos off of the phone for storage and free up space. When I plug my phone into my PC, I get a ton of seemingly random folders with photos and videos mixed inside of them. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason to it. And if in theory I spent the weeks it would take me copying and pasting from those folders to a hard drive, it would take so much more time and effort to go back into my phone and find and delete the media that I know I backed up. And I also know that I probably shouldn't keep so many on my phone since I think there's a limit to file names before it starts reusing them and then I don't know what happens. Hopefully it doesn't overwrite anything. So I was wondering if there's something that I'm missing. Is there an easy way to do this? I want to grab mostly the really big videos off of my iPhone, transfer them to a PC with a really large storage hard drive, and free up that space on my phone so that I can actually start recording again (it's like 95% videos of my dogs as puppies and doing cute stuff and whatnot). | iMessage notifications in new iPhone 13 not working Posted: 15 Mar 2022 03:53 PM PDT I have an iPhone 13, brand new, that I have setup as a transfer from my old phone (but recently reset everything to try to solve my issue). For some reason I have stopped getting any vibration, sound or lock screen notifications for any text or iMessages received. Basically the phone sits there completely dumb, not really showing any incoming notifications. If I pick up the phone (raise it to wake) the lock screen shows the notifications. I do have an Apple Watch, and have linked messages via iClound on my iMac. I get notifications on both of those for incoming messages. I have tried toggling notifications, signing in and out of iCloud, resetting network settings and eventually all settings. [link] [comments] | ||

| Posted: 15 Mar 2022 02:48 PM PDT I got a new iPhone 12 mini, I did a iCloud back up of my old iPhone SE 2020 that way I can download on the new one (the back up is only the apps, data, and basic as contacts, logs, messages, etc) for my surprise today I saw that my photos are taking more than 8GB of space something weird and old for me for 2 reasons: 1.- I never use iCloud photos for the past 5-6 years so I never backup on it 2.- I always backup directly to my computer then delete them on my iPhone I have now just 4 photos on my phone and for no explanation take more than 8GB isn't something right, I tried restarting the phone, change the time, and still the same situation. I tried to turn on/off do not disturb but when do not disturb is on the notifications and phone calls are silent, but the banners are not showing on the screen. Previously, I could buy Airplane Wifi on my phone - turn on BT, and connect another phone / computer via BT so they would share the wifi. I'm on a plane, so in Airplane Mode (no cellular data, obviously). Now that I have a iPhone, I can't seem to do this - I want to Bluetooth pair my gfs iphone, so we'd both be sharing the wifi on my phone over BT. Is this possible at all? [link] [comments] |
