| Spark Mail disk usage on macOS Monterey Posted: 08 Dec 2021 03:45 AM PST Hi everyone, A few weeks ago I've received my new MacBook Pro with M1 Pro chip and started using same apps I've had on my old Mac. Yesterday I've noticed that Spark mail client is causing a very high disk usage. It writes around 2GB to disk every 15 minutes (maybe causing a SSD early degradation?). Never before checked it in my old Mac, but for the moment I've stopped using until a clarification. (Just to compare, native Mail client writes around 10MB in all day). Anyone using Spark Mail can open Activity Monitor app and check the bytes written by Spark in Disk tab? Thanks! [link] [comments] | ||
| How to reverse trackpad scroll without external mouse Posted: 08 Dec 2021 03:22 AM PST I have a bluetooth mouse and when i am using it I invert the the mouse scroll settings (uncheck natural scroll). But when I am not using an external mouse and just using the trackpad I use the natural scroll. But sometimes when I dont have a mouse like at the moment when i am in a library, I cant figure out how to invert it now. I forgot to invert the scroll setting last night before unplugging the mouse. the mouse settings dont open because there is no external mouse connected and it just says "waiting for bluetooth mouse". So does anyone know how to invert the scroll settings when i dont have a mouse connected? [link] [comments] | ||

Safari 15 runs perfectly fine but it takes like 10 seconds to launch after quitting and my right mouse button takes about 5 seconds to show. Clearing cache and disabling all extensions, VPN's etc doesn't appear to help and the Safari tech Preview is exactly the same. [link] [comments] | ||

Ever since the update took place, my app won't work or gets extremely slow. I downloaded other browsers just to test and they work perfectly, Safari is still usable if I am willing to keep clicking a link up to 8 times just for it to catch it and take me to the website. | Samsung T5 and T7 SSD unable to use Posted: 07 Dec 2021 10:11 PM PST I have an issue with a T5 and T7 SSD. Firmware is up to date. I want to be able to use them on Mac, but they don't show up in Disk Utility. If I go to Apple > About This Mac > System Report the drive is showing. But I am unable to use it in any way. This is happening on both a M1 Macbook Pro and M1 Mac mini (running Monterey). The drives run fine under Windows without issue. I have tried both NTFS and APFS on the Mac's. | Documents and desktop in iCloud Drive Posted: 07 Dec 2021 06:49 PM PST I am new to iCloud and macOS and I am confused about documents and desktop showing up in iCloud Drive. On my iPhone I transferred my old computer files from Dropbox to iCloud and all my files were in two folders in iCloud Drive. I get a MacBook and it is showing documents are desktop in iCloud Drive. So when I save a new file from my Mac to my desktop it saves in iCloud Drive? Will that file show up on my iPhone too? And how do I make my files that are in iCloud Drive also save locally on my Mac (basically if I save a file from my iPhone to iCloud I want that file to show up locally on my Mac when I use my Mac) [link] [comments] | ||

My headset supports AAC but I'm convinced it's using SCO right now. In Catalina, I was able to hold Option and click on the Bluetooth icon in the menu bar and it displayed the codec being used. I have been trying to find how to display the dock on both screen... This is absolutely necessary in my mind. I am always dragging the cursor between the screen - loosing it in the process lol sometimes... | Safari Randomly Goes to Previous Page Posted: 07 Dec 2021 08:25 PM PST Very odd bug that I can't screen capture: when using Safari it randomly decides to go to the previous page, and the "Show next page" button is greyed out as if I never visited the page I was on. It's been happening for three months or so. Happens sporadically, usually a few seconds after I open the new link, but sometimes 15 minutes into staying on the same page. Just today I was once watching a YouTube video and stepped away from my laptop and thought it was odd that it stopped playing: sure enough it did it while I was a few feet away without any way to control playback.
