    literally every time i check notifications, they ask if i want to turn off or keep getting time sensitive notifications. after i've already said yes/no multiple times, i still get this same stupid question every time.

    please tell me there's a way to stop getting these stupid questions after i've already answered it 19 separate times. snapchat asks me 9 times a day if i want time sensitive notifications. WHY?

    I used to be able to, maybe a year or two ago, go to siri and say "Show me pictures from <Location>" or <date>, now it doesn't search my photos and just shows me photos from the web. What am I missing?

    My brother is a chronic kleptomaniac. He attempts to steal my AirPods everyday (even though he has his own that work fine). He succeeded once and now my AirPods are connected to his phone. Sometimes my AirPods connect to his phone and I hear whatever he's listening to. He refuses to let me remove them from his Bluetooth list.

    So is there a way to factory reset them so no device is connected? All I can find on google is how to reset the settings.

    What sorcery is this… and how do I get rid of it? I tried resetting the Autocorrect dictionary and there is nothing set for „of“ in text replace menu… yet my iPhone corrects every second of I Type to ���� and I don’t know why..

    Spotify vs Apple Music volume/quality difference?

    Please chime in and tell me I'm not crazy and it's real?!

    So I've had Apple Music when it first came out for two years (worked for apple and they gave it to us for free).

    Before and after that, until this day, I have a premium Spotify subscription.

    Last week I got AirPods Pro, and tried using spatial audio to see how it sounds. On Spotify it's meh, but on Apple Music, when playing the exact same song, it's like insane how much better it sounds.

    Also the volume on Spotify seems to be waaaay lower at same system level in iOS than in Apple Music. Is it just me or someone else noticed it?

    App I don’t have installed accounting for 10+ hours of screen time

    The New Yorker app is accounting for tons of screen time despite the fact that it's not currently installed. I visited the New Yorker's website for twenty minutes yesterday with Safari and have seen it in my screen time stats since. Posting mobile and can't add a screenshot. Any ideas?

    Urgent question. My iPhone has been stolen, and I need to know if my data is accessible.

    I'm currently in Colombia, and I got robbed at gunpoint. They took my iPhone 12 Pro Max. They didn't ask for a passcode or anything, and when I tried to block it through my phone provider, the sim was unfortunately put into a burner phone. Find my locates nothing. I called apple and they said there's no way they can access it, so I felt relieved.

    But my little cousin started texting my number, and the iMessages were going through. This means the phone is on, correct? Why would the phone be on if they can't access the data? I'm really worried. I would remotely erase the phone through find my but in a panic, my mom tried to log into my Apple ID and got it blocked until next week due to getting the password wrong. Please help!

    Bring back the ability to stop notifications waking the screen!

    I think there should be an option to stop notifications waking the screen on iOS 15 at least, even it's to act as a means to increase screen-off time, which most of the time is inaccurate anyway.

    Ringtone vs Notifications volume levels

    Just got myself an iPhone 13 mini and noticed that the notification sounds are really low compared to the ringtone. I'm not talking about media vs ringtone, but the notification itself (messages, e-mail, etc) compared to the ringtone.

    Even if you set the same tone for both ring and text tone for instance, you'll hear a huge difference in volume between those two (you can even hear it on the tone selecting preview, no need to wait for somebody to text you).

    It's like Apple simply decided "no no, messages are not as important as incoming calls, let's just make the notification quieter".

    Hardware is fine, as I can get really loud volume with other stuff.

    Already tried:

    • tech support
    • attention aware feature on and off;
    • physical buttons to control volume on and off;
    • reboot;
    • update to 15.1;

    Any ideas on that? What reason would drive such a design decision?

    Can’t turn WiFi on

    My wifi button is greyed out for the last week. I tried doing the network reset and it worked for like 15 minutes before going back. The second time I did it, my phone just shut off and went back to not working. Now the reset doesn't work at all even for a second, it just won't turn on. What can I do?

    Notes-app catastrophe. I'm freaking out. Help.

    I'm a writer. Last night I spent at least an hour planning out 5 books of a series on my macbook notes app. Now, for a while I have noticed that while they used to, my macbook notes do not sync with my phone notes anymore. For about a month now I have made a note on my phone and not been able to access it from my laptop, or viceaversa. Last night was one of those times, a note on my laptop that did not show up on my phone. I figured this was a problem with my laptop connecting to iCloud, so today I went to fiddle with it. I am not tech-smart at all so I might have fucked myself. what I ended up doing is going into settings --> internet accounts --> icloud --> unclicking "Notes" from the list that my icloud was synched with. Then I re-clicked it to see if it would reload / resynch and my notes that I've made on my phone would come back. the opposite happened. Now, there are absolutely NO NOTES ON MY LAPTOP. I have:

    • logged out of icloud entirely on my laptop and logged back in
    • deleted the notes app and then taken it out of trash and reopened it
    • texted my tech savvy brother which should have been my first move, he's at work right now (coding!) so i'm waiting for him to be done and maybe he can help
    • looked at time machine which I have not set up so it will not help

    nothing has worked. my notes app is empty. both icloud and notes that should have just been on my laptop are gone and i don't know how to get them back.

    I can access the iCloud notes on the iCloud website, but I don't know how to get them back onto the actual notes app. I have gone both through "apple ID --> icloud" and through "internet accounts --> icloud" and the notes button is checked off under icloud, so I don't know why they're not redownloading into the app since they are saved on the website and on my phone.

    So I need help, first of all for getting my iCloud notes back onto my laptop, but second of all, and more important to me in this instant right now, is the fact that even the few notes that I've made SINCE my icloud stopped synching are gone. This morning I could not find the new note that I had made last night from my phone, but it was there on my laptop. that's why i decided to fuck around, because I wanted to access it on my phone too, but my laptop was not sending it out to the cloud. Now, it's gone, along with every other note on my laptop. I think my laptop was not synching to iCloud. My phone was. the icloud website is identical to the notes app on my phone. But my laptop has not updated incoming or outgoing for a few weeks. so now i've lost all the notes that were on my laptop because they did not send themselves to the cloud. so that's the most worrying thing for me, that the note that i made last night has been lost forever since it did not back up. I don't know why it did not back up. I also don't know why i can't get my icloud notes back since my laptop settings say that notes should be synched.

    what do I do? Is it possible to get my precious note back? why won't my laptop download even my icloud notes? help!

    confused about storage

    so my phone has 64gb. i checked the storage and it says i've used about 23gb out of the 64gb. i want to download files off of safari so i redirected it to the files app on my phone but my file says i only have 20gb available. where did the rest of the storage go?

    How to download an app from a different region without having to cancel all my subscriptions and spending my store credit?

    I travel a lot for work. And where I currently am we have to download a government app to basically do anything.

    The problem is I can't find this app on my AppStore. And when I usr the QR code to find it it says "this app isn't available in your region"

    When I try to change the region it days that I have to cancel all my subscriptions and spend all my store credit.

    I don't wanna have to do that every where I travel because I travel a lot.

    So what can I do?

    Camera crashing on iPhone 12 Pro Max with iOS 15.1.1

    Lately my camera app keeps crashing while I'm recording videos longer than a minute. The video will eventually appear in my camera roll, but the issue is really annoying. Any ideas?

    Shortcuts Swipe-down gesture not working sometimes

    Just setup my new refurbished iPhone 13. Have noticed some of the gestures aren't working 1st time and need a 2nd or 3rd attempt before they work. In particular with the swipe down from top right corner to display the shortcuts. Also, the bottom left emoji / text keyboard switcher button on the keyboard. I can see the icon register the tap and change to stone but the keyboard doesn't change. Could this be a hardware issue or is there some sort of reset I could do. Or is there still maybe some data syncing in the background which is causing lag?

    Calendar - is there a way to automatically add reminders prior to the event when creating one?

    Volume changes at random times after Bluetooth connection.

    When connecting to either headphones or car, the phone volume will change to the lowest value. It will happen even if that wasn't where the media volume was when last connected to Bluetooth. It's also not consistent with timing; sometimes the volume will change right when connected, sometimes it will change 30 minutes later when I'm in the middle of something. Someone said attention aware feature, but I toggled that off and on with no effect.

    Any idea as to what this is caused by?
