| Mobile data very slow with full bars on ios 15.2 Posted: 28 Dec 2021 07:08 PM PST I can't seem to use mobile data on ios just recently, it's very slow and I can't even search anything on Safari even though it's showing full bars LTE. I can send messages but it takes a while. Other messaging apps won't load the new messages at all, but I get notifications. If I turn on my wifi it's all good again. I thought the problem was with my data so I moved the sim card to my samsung phone, but it's running normally with high speed as it usually does. Is there any way to fix this? I already tried resetting my network settings. I'm on iphone 11 pro. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 29 Dec 2021 01:46 AM PST Hi guys, The only workaround I get is to having to open each app one by one manually and give it a second to refresh. The behavior is also oddly inconsistent, stuff like Messenger and Outlook will occasionally leak a notification for example. But then when I open the apps, I actually have more messages waiting for me. Disabling bluetooth and restarting the phone did work at first but after a couple of cycles that also just stopped doing its thing. Can anyone provide any new info or workarounds for this? | Labels and ringtones are not syncing between contacts on iPhone and iPad Posted: 28 Dec 2021 06:51 PM PST When I change the custom labels or ringtones of a contact on my iPhone, it does not sync on my iPad. If I then change it manually on my iPad to match my iPhone, the custom labels or ringtones for that contact on my iPhone revert to the default. For example, if I change the label of Sally's email to "work" on my iPhone, it won't change it on the iPad. So then I'd go to my iPad and change Sally's email to "work" manually. But then I go back to my iPhone and Sally's email reverted to the default label "email" instead of "work". This happens for all labels (phone numbers, emails, etc) as well as ringtones. I remember this happening last year with iOS 14 and it's still happening with iOS 15. Am I just doing something wrong? This affects all contacts regardless if they're from icloud, Gmail, or Yahoomail. I've tried restarting my iPhone and iPad with no luck. Does this also happen to anyone or is it just me? Posted: 28 Dec 2021 07:47 PM PST I was accessing my coinbase and after I scrolled around on social media for a bit, I scrolled down my control center to turn off my lights and I saw my screen record button on. I immediately turned it off but it didn't ask if I wanted to stop recording and there was no subsequent video saved to camera roll. So I guess this is a multi part question:
I will also add, it JUST happened again as I was typing this. I looked at the screen recording apps AGAIN and I saw AliExpress Screen Cast listed. I've never given AliExpress permission to record my screen and I don't even know why they'd have access to that. I deleted Aliexpress and Alibaba and will update the post if this resolves the issue, however I am still looking into disabling the function all together. [link] [comments] |
| Screen time limit not working for some apps Posted: 29 Dec 2021 03:40 AM PST I've recently noticed that the screen time limit is not working for some apps, in particular WhatsApp and Roblox, the two apps my kids use the most. I've made sure the apps are not in the Always Allowed list, and that Block at End Of Limit is enabled. I've even tried setting a time limit of 1 minute, but my kids are all able to use them after that 1 minute is up. This leads me to believe that the problem lies with either iOS or the app developers have figured out a way to get their apps to somehow ignore the configured time limits. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 28 Dec 2021 11:38 PM PST so I've had this samsung phone I use (it's called the J3 2018 if I remember correctly) for two years now and am trying to transfer my data to a new iphone. overall I have like 16GB of stuff I think? I've tried transferring it twice but it just stopped progressing part of the way through at roughly the same place and didn't move at all. the phone I got is an old one from my nana and I don't want her to be upset when I say I just haven't bothered to set it up when i go see her tomorrow :,) I *think* I'm following all the instructions the app is giving me but I'm also not 100% sure [link] [comments] |

This might be due to their ignorance as they cannot change the default height of the keyboard, but it seems that a very tall keyboard is easier to type with. Of course the keyboard in iphones is quite proportional but interestingly nobody is complaining that it is rather short, compared to those chunky big android abominations. Apparently people tend to accept what is given to them. And honestly whoever has a little bit of sense of ergonomics will set the keyboard to a similar height and proportions as in iphones, so it is not some kind of apple magic, just a normal sense of what is right. Since the last update 15.1.1 (i think, i'm not wirh her right now) her phone switches on the smart inverted setting automatically. I can switch it off, in the settings the button for smart inverted is off, but i keeps changing it back as soon as i lock the screen. Strange thing about it is: it isn't completely in inverted, just the battery status and when she takes screenshots. I tried to switch from dark to light mode, nothing happend. Currently my battery health is 88%, but when I go to look at what's causing the drain in the battery settings, there is a tip talking about recent usage that says "Your iPhone has been used more than usual since upgrading iOS, which may affect battery life" What are somethings I can try to do to fix this? Just this evening it rebooted and the personal hotspot password kept changing to random things on its own and the setting app crashed several times before the phone just rebooted itself. When it powered back on the password was back to what I originally had it as and the settings app stopped crashing, but I feel like what it just did there was some kind of attack so I was wondering if anyone else has had this happen before? | Mobile Hotspot Doesn’t Work With Windows 10 Anymore Posted: 28 Dec 2021 10:57 AM PST After updating my iPhone 8 Plus to iOS 15.2 my mobile hotspot still turns on but when I connect my PC to it (Windows 10 1909) it shows up as an "Unidentified Network" and it has "No Internet" as well meanwhile all other devices I connect to the hotspot have internet access. A side note, before I updated to Win10 1909 I was on version 1809 and my USB tethering worked just fine. After I switched to 1909 the USB tethering no longer works at all. So currently I have no options to connect my hotspot to my Windows 10 1909 PC. Also my Linksys WMP600N Wireless-N PCI Adapter with Dual-Band says this when I run the troubleshooter: "Wi-Fi 2 Doesn't have a valid IP configuration". Is there any way I can fix this?
