- Having trouble updating to iOS 15.1.1
- Set up new Iphone 13 this morning, when I try and send messages, it’ll only use the email my Apple account is connected to, and not my phone number. Settings displays both my number and email, but the email has a check mark next to it, and the number has a loading sign.
- Iphone repair center adviced me on a new battery (iPhone XS)
- Do u guys know what this icon means?! I recently moved from Africa and I’m seeing these icons I’ve never seen before. Is this snow?
- Screen time tracking google drive even tho it’s not installed on my phone or laptop?Opened a google drive doc on Twitter and now it’s tracking it like I have it downloaded. Not sure what to do.
- Can’t turn on sound for videos I recorded (iPhone 7 plus)
- My iPhone SE (2020) keeps resetting automatically

| Having trouble updating to iOS 15.1.1 Posted: 26 Nov 2021 02:21 PM PST So, for a little bit of context, I have an iPhone 7, and I have it synced to my desktop, which runs on windows 10. As the title states, I'm having trouble updating to iOS 15.1.1. I've tried doing this on my phone, but it won't allow me, as a message comes up saying something along the lines of, "This update cannot be verified because you are no longer connected to the internet." However, when I use apps that require an internet connection, they work just fine, so I don't think it's a problem with my phone's internet connection. I've tried turning my phone off and back on, resetting network settings, and resetting all settings. None of this has worked. I've tried updating the iOS through iTunes on my computer, but here's the timeline of events that took place - iTunes needed updating to install iOS on my phone, so I tried to update iTunes. But in order to do that, I had to update my computer's OS from Windows 7 to Windows 10. So I updated to Windows 10, updated iTunes, and it still doesn't work. Now, I get a message saying something to the tune of, "The iOS installation process was corrupted." I cannot make/send or receive non-iMessage texts or calls on my phone, nor can I access data, until I update the iOS. I'm resistant to buying a new phone, as my cell provider will try to nickel and dime me to death on top of the already expensive cost of a new phone. Should I suck it up and buy a new phone, or is there something I can do to install this iOS update? Thanks so much for any input/help! | Iphone repair center adviced me on a new battery (iPhone XS) Posted: 26 Nov 2021 09:44 AM PST Hey gusy I dropped my XS a few days ago and I went to get it replaced by an authorized repair center and they did an analysis for it. When I went back they said they can replace the screen but found out that there might be something wrong with the battery and that I should have it replaced too, it still works fine but they cant say for how long it will be like this. The thing is, I'm in a bit of a financial struggle at the moment and cannot simply afford that much money if it's not necessary. They cannot say whether the dammage is from the drop or from me having the phone on the charge overnight or whatever the case may be. I have the phone for 1 year and have not experienced any issues with it, It still worked fine even with broken screen except for the top half of the screen so that's why I went and got it fixed. Do you think it isn't that big of a deal? My Macbook had the "replace battery" advice thingy for a year and was still fine. Should I try to hold out for a few months or is this something that really needs to be fixed. Would it still fall under warranty? Any advice would be welcome. [link] [comments] | ||

| Pop-up location box will not close, even when I locked my phone Posted: 26 Nov 2021 08:47 AM PST I was using Uber last night but had my location services turned off, so I got a pop-up that said "Turn on Location Services to Allow "Uber" to Determine Your Location." I tried to press Settings to go to change it and while the button turned lighter gray to indicate I'd selected it, the screen did not respond. I then tried to press Cancel and had the same issue. Finally I tried locking my iPhone thinking it might clear the screen - still no luck. Now this pop-up box is blocking me from entering my passcode or swiping to restart my phone. The only part of my phone I'm able to interact with is Siri. Does anyone know how to fix this? The only thing I can think to do is to wait for the phone to die, but that's going to take a while. When I switch it on the apple logo flashes on and off fast , then screen stays black for a few seconds then the apple logo comes back and stays until after a few more seconds the phone is booted. I have another 12 pro max which is my daily phone and it doesn't do this. Apple logo just comes on and stays on until it's booted up. Anyone know anything about this ? [link] [comments] | ||

| New sealed IPhone pro max with white dust on box Posted: 26 Nov 2021 10:20 AM PST I bought a new IPhone 12 Pro Max on Walmart.com and the phone had a plastic seal but it had white dust on the box within the seal. I went ahead amd opened and the phone looks fine with no damages but it had no battery life. Charged it up and it works fine. But every other IPhone I bought had some charge on the device?
