Control Center volume changes only media volume Posted: 11 Nov 2021 09:56 AM PST I've been using iOS for sometime now. But, for some reason this just now got to me and at the least seems like a bug. The issue **** During a call, only the side Volume buttons change the volume of the call. If I use the volume slider in control panel, it changes the volume of the media only, even though mine is playing. But, if I'm playing media. Both the control panel slider and side volume buttons change the media volume. I swear this is new, but maybe I didn't notice it before. Has this always been the case? Touch Responsive Issues. Posted: 11 Nov 2021 06:16 AM PST Just got off the phone with a senior technician. Looks like Apple are trying to sweep this issue under the rug. I haven't been told this but I am 99.9% sure this is an iOS 15 issue. I first updated to iOS 15 on release and noticed the touch responsive bug. I tried all that reset all settings, recovery mode, and setup as a new device malarkey to no avail. I downgraded back to 14.8 after waiting 5 days to see if the bug was a result of background processes from the new update. Downgrading to 14.8 instantly fixed the issue. This issue is extremely hard to replicate since it is intermittent across the whole OS however I found a way to consistently reproduce this issue. Note - this issue isn't consistent. Sometimes trying to replicate the issue using the method in the video does not work and the page responds as it should. I was told by a lady in the Apple store that they would fix it without updating so I handed it over. I got my phone back 5 days later and it was completely wiped with iOS 15.1 installed. She lied to me. As soon as I got the phone back I instantly noticed the touch responsive bug was back again, not only that but I am stuck on iOS 15.1 with no way of reverting back to 14.8 since it is no longer singed. I spoke to a senior advisor who insisted it can't be an iOS 15 issue even after I told them that reverting back to 14.8 fixed the issue. What now? Are Apple going to ignore the fact this exists and sweep it under the rug like they did with green tint? I spoke to a manager in the Apple store and he claimed that he has never heard of green tint when it was the biggest scandal of the iPhone 12's release. I am worried that this issue will never be fully addressed, just like green tint. EDIT - Speaking to another senior advisor as we speak. They claimed the engineers are aware of this issue due to recent reports and they are working on a fix. The information I was given was inconsistent as the advisor I spoke to earlier claimed this can't be an iOS 15 problem. Hopefully we will see a fix in the future but I am still not sure as this is the first senior technician of many who seems to be aware of the issue. So far calendar events added to my gmail will update on my iPhone calendar and I can get calendar entries on my iPhone calendar to update the gmail calendar app on my phone but that doesn't pull through to my PC i.e. gmail calendar on my work computer. Does IOS have any functionality for tracking app usage? Posted: 11 Nov 2021 08:22 AM PST I toggled on the weekly report to see how much battery time I've used on each app as well as power time for a week. What I'd like to know is if there is a way to retroactively look as previous data. Example: I can see how long I've had the Weather open for the last week but can't go further back. Is it possible to view all time historical power data for each app? If not natively, is there an app I can download to track that? I assume it must be stored somewhere in the IOS since the phone should be able to store its power time. This would be really helpful for seeing how much time I've devoted into each area, which parts I need to improve on and which apps I need to start managing my time with better. If I see for example that I've spent 100 hours on Facebook over the last month and only 40 hours on Outlook then that's something I'd like to change. I know I can do this to an extent with weekly lookthroughs but I'd really prefer a larger data set. Phone acting strange. Could I be hacked? Posted: 11 Nov 2021 07:06 AM PST I am getting random shutdowns but it happens only when I getback home and go to my room. Phone is acting weird and phone calls sound distorted. Sometimes harmonic distortion sometimes demonic voices and whispers(no jokes) Today i checked logs and there is a "panicfull(4 times AppleTriStar2 could not find system, 1 times Sleep/Wake hang detected" when phone shut down happened. Not able to iMessage self through Apple ID Posted: 11 Nov 2021 07:04 AM PST Hello. I had a quick question about iMessage. I was messing around with the message settings on my phone and saw that I can receive messages at and reply to them from my phone number but also my Apple ID email. I wanted to test this so I started a new conversation from my phone and in the address typed in my email. The message said it was delivered but it never showed up on my phone. I'm fairly certain it was going to me since when I started typing I could see the chat bubbles show up. I am able to send iMessages to myself when using my phone number and receive them just fine. Caching iOS apps for faster downloads Posted: 11 Nov 2021 06:59 AM PST I am curious if it is possible to create a cache for iOS apps on a windows, mac or linux pc. I am in an enterprise environment that has MDM for it's ipads. When a user signs into an ipad, all of their apps are downloaded to that ipad. A cache would be great because most users have the same apps, some of which are very large and we could reduce our reliance on the ISP and hopefully see faster downloads. iPhone 6s Plus battery drainage IOS 15.1 Posted: 10 Nov 2021 07:47 PM PST Hey guys, I've recently upgraded to IOS 15 a few weeks ago.And now my battery life is horrendous. It gets laggy and slow at 70% and dies around the 60% mark. It takes only 20 minutes of heavy usage to go from 100% to 80%. And then it takes hours to charge back up to 100%. It is truly an enigma and extremely annoying. I pretty much have to keep my phone plugged in all day at work. worst is that it can die overnight, even if left at 100%, I miss my alarm the next morning because my phone has drained all night! No apps open and all functions off, even battery saver turned on, still dead in the morning!
