    Iphone 6s with 16gb storage but system takes 13gb so cant install the software update.

    I'm trying to help my grandmother with her phone but i have noticed that her phone has 16gb storage but the system for some reason is taking 13gb ????
    I'm android user so i have no clue why this things are. Can anyone help me how to install the necessary software update? or a way to free up some space?

    tried restoring iphone 13 pro on itunes, had the same 3 errors, & now it finally worked

    hi all. yesterday i tried to reset to factory settings and i ran into trouble. my phone was either stuck on "verifying iphone software", "verifying iphone restore", or just an iphone error with a number between 1-10, 75. i called apple support yesterday and we went through the same process i did. so i was told to go back to the apple store (appt in a few hours) i bought the phone from to attempt to fix or exchange the phone. but, just an hour ago i tried one last time to restore to save myself the trip to another state lmao, and it worked! however, it was stuck on "restoring iphone firmware" this time and out of frustration i just did the volume up, down, hold side button as well as the volume button to get back into recovery mode, while plugged in. i'm sure i did it wrong but it somehow got my phone to finish restoring and it's brand new again. i'm currently setting it up, it's working fine.

    is it worth going to the apple store still? i worry a lot, & i spent quite a lot of $ on this phone and don't wanna have problems in the future. i'm worried about the battery not lasting much, something seems to be draining it.

    I have been very confused recently on to why every once in a while my phone calls will pop up on my girlfriend's phone but only when they are calls from my family. And it's happened maybe 4-5 in a few months. On and off the phone. Both of us have T-Mobile. Our providers/plans aren't linked in any way, and I'm pretty sure she didn't set anything up. I feel like it might be something like me singing into her phone once or something but I really have no clue. Also it shows the names of the callers I'm pretty sure more than once. If anyone has any ideas let me know. It's been a mystery to both of us!

    iPhone XS serious overheating issues after updating to iOS 15

    I updated my iPhone XS to iOS 15.0 a few days after it came out. Ever since then the phone has started overheating period. If it's on, it's hot. If you dare to use it for five minutes you'd better not touch the camera. You'll burn your skin if you hold your finger there for more than about 5 seconds. The only way to keep it cool is to catch it before the camera gets hot and just constantly transfer heat from the camera to your finger.

    I have never had this problem before and it happened immediately after the software update. The heat seems to be focused specifically around the lower camera. The back glass itself doesn't get burning hot like the camera does, but that may be because of my case transferring heat when the open camera has nowhere to transfer heat. I do not keep ANY background apps open. I've made it a habit to close them.

    I've tried experimenting with different small ideas to no success. Does anyone know what's going on? Thanks for any help.

    Endless Bluetooth Disconnect/Connect on iPhone XS

    To go into more detail. Sometimes when turning on/connecting bluetooth earbuds to my phone, this endless cycle of disconnecting and connecting immediately begins. Sometimes it only lasts a minute, sometimes five. Sometimes it only ends if I manually reset my phone and/or earbuds. While some earbuds have done it more or less than other, every pair I've owned has done it.

    Any advice, help, or shared experiences would be greatly appreciated.

    It is an iPhone Xs an the current iOS is 14.8. However, there has not been a single iOS version that I haven't had this issue.

    Weird iPhone 11 screen issue

    Randomly today my iPhone 11 stopped responding to "taps" on the far right side of the screen. From top to bottom. I can't click send or backspace. I have to turn my phone to landscape mode to type and send messages.

    The weird part is that it still responds perfectly normal to swiping. I can swipe up and down reddit on the far side of the screen but can't click on a post.

    Anyone have a solution? My phone isn't one of the ones affected by the display module failure.

    Is it safe to use a magnetic phone holder (in car vent) with the new iPhones that have wireless charging?

    I've got an iPhone 6S with the Otterbox Defender that I attached the metal piece under the rubber, over the plastic. I stick it to my car vent magnetic attachment. It holds pretty well but starts to slide down during bumpy roads.

    The new iPhone 13 Pro is ALOT heavier. Will my vent holder still work with an Otterbox Defender? Is it safe since the phone wirelessly charges using the built in magnet? I believe my holder has 6 small neodymium magnets.

    I might get the Pro Max. Not sure yet. Still have the 6S. I think it's time......

    BEFORE YOU TELL ME TO UPGRADE I AM TOO POOR TO GET A NEW PHONE OR EVEN UPGRADE WITH MY CARRIER

    As the title says, my phone barely works anymore. It's slow, it heats up, and connection to apps is spotty at best. Just doing my daily Duolingo turned my phone into a mini oven.

    I know I can downgrade to 14.8 (I just went from 14.1 to 15), but I'm not sure how to do it. I'm waiting to see if my apps update to accommodate this new iOS, but I doubt other people are having problems this severe. I know I'm having a bad time because my phone is an older model.

    I've been told to take it in to get fixed, but I can't afford that. I've completely rebooted it and cleared out a ridiculous amount of storage, but my phone is still slow and buggy.

    I just got my 13 pro and since it's the first iPhone I own that features night mode I immediately decided to try it out. I've put my phone standing and stable and used my watch to take the photo so I wouldn't cause any rocking or vibrations that could affect the long exposure. The camera settings showed "10s" and exposing actually took ten seconds. However after I checked the file info it only shows 1 second shutter speed. So what happened during those 10 seconds if the photo was only being shot for one? Is there a way to force longer exposure? Or is it some malfunction of exif data and it actually is a ten second exposure?

    This is my second time experiencing an iPhone getting useless perfectly timed with new models being released.

    My iPhone X has been working perfectly until a few weeks ago. Suddenly, my phone runs out of juice halfway through the day.

    It pisses me off that I now have to discard a perfectly good phone. Bad for me. Bad for the environment. Good for Apple's profits.

    Are we all fine with this?

    Question about organizing photos! Help!

    So here's my dilemma, I'm a long time android user that is getting the new iPhone. I love a lot that ios offers but I'm so worried and confused about the organization part of my photos and media. On Android I am able to create invidiual folders and move pictures inside just like a pc. For example, I keep all my child's photos together in their folder, vacations, screen shots! Etc etc. What is the best way to stay organized on ios? All I've heard is creating albums for photos as I take them or using Google photos and letting the ai do its thing.

    Turning 5G off on Verizon

    Apparently You need a 5G SIM card to be able to use 5G. However, i still have a 4G/LTE sim from when I got the iPhone XR. Currently I am able to turn off 5G on my iPhone 13 pro.

    Can anyone who has the 5G SIM card on Verizon tell me if you can go into cellular data in setting and pick whether you want 5G or LTE?

    Ps. It's odd that my iPhone 13 pro still shows 5G even though I have a 4G SIM card
