Apple TV Weekly "What are you watching on your Apple TV" discussion

I have AirPods and when watching movies on the Apple TV with them audio speech is out of sync. I have tried the wireless audio sync option on the ATV still doesn't sync. Thoughts?

My Apple TV plus home pods, will not allow me to change the volume. They always snap back to a set volume. As if volume is locked. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Are there any fixes for the streaming quality/buffering issues that have been happening since TVOS 15?

Hello all,

I've been experiencing an issue with my 2021 Apple TV 4k since the latest OS update. The streaming quality has taken a complete nosedive when using the Apple TV or Movies apps. Most commonly it will be prefect 4k for the first few frames but then it will suddenly start buffering and then become awful quality that is unwatchable (sometimes it won't even buffer, it will just instantly switch into a poor quality video).

I've tried absolutely everything from completely resetting the Apple TV box, switching LAN cables l, resetting my router, etc and I'm now at a loss.

Incredibly frustrating as I have a ton of purchased 4k content through Apple that I can't watch along with an Apple TV subscription that is now useless. I wish I could just roll back my OS to the previous version as it was all working perfectly then and I was very happy with it.

Is there anything else I can try and is Apple aware of this issue yet?

Better way to watch YouTube?

I really dislike the YouTube app on the Apple TV, it's a pain search and it's slow to load things, is there any way to watch YouTube with out the default app that is better?

Do I need to upgrade from the 2017 4k? I don't have other Apple products. I use a custom Spectrum or Harmony remote. I heard that the video processor is better. Do people notice a PQ difference on Apps like Netflix or Disney?

Why are there Doctor Who seasons missing?

So I don't know exactly when this happened but I know it had to have happened after September 30, 2021. There are no more episodes of doctor who from the Chris Eccelston episodes all the way up to Peter Capaldi. The Classic Who, Spin-offs, Jodi Whittaker's doctor, and a few specials are still there. But From the reboot all the way up to season 12, I believe, is missing from Apple TV. I can still download the episodes I have previously bought. Does anyone know why this has happened? I've tried doing some research but nothing comes up.

HomeKit camera integration - how to see camera videos?

Hello! I noticed today that on the What's New pop-up there was a HomeKit integration note. I can now see my cameras in the settings app, but I cannot seem to figure out how to actually view the cameras' footage on the Apple TV. I currently use the 50GB cloud solution. Thanks!

Apple TV 4K and Powered Speakers

Can someone help me figure this out?

When my powered speakers are connected to my TCL TV thorough the 3.5mm jack (the powered speakers don't have a digital out) I can't control the volume when watching content or airplaying music to my Apple TV on my iPhone remote, or through the iPhone music app.

When my powered speakers are connected to my Apple TV via Bluetooth, I am able to.

What do I need to buy to not use Bluetooth but still have the option to adjust volume without using the Siri Remote? Something like this? Surely not a full receiver? My set up is simple, TCL TV, two Edifier speakers, and now my Apple TV

Ok so very confused as to why the first maze runner you have to buy but the other 2 are free on Apple TV make it make sense
