    Contacts seeing incorrect "focus status" after DND schedule ends

    Anyone else else experiencing this bug? Tricky to know, as it only appears to your contacts, not to you.

    I have DND scheduled every night (12AM -- 7AM). Since installing iOS15, my contacts tell me I'm showing "X has notifications silenced" during the rest of the day (7AM -- 12AM) when my DND should now be inactive. Focus / DND correctly does not show as active in my settings, but still shows as active to my contacts.

    Additionally, it seems to let notifications through even when DND is active though? What a mess.

    After updating to 15, all of my open tabs are laid out landscape-style. I prefer them as they were in card deck fashion. I don't for some reason have the landscape option listed in Settings. How can I change this?

    ISO a podcast app that reliably auto-downloads

    I am desperately in search of a podcast app for iOS that actually auto-downloads new episodes. I have an iPhone 11 running iOS 15. I've tried the stock Apple Podcasts app, iCatcher, Pocket Casts, and Google Podcasts.

    The podcast I listen to most has new episodes released on Saturday and Sunday morning. If I have subscriptions set to auto-download new episodes I would expect one or both of those episodes to be downloaded by Monday morning. However, none of those apps I listed were able to do that.

    I confirmed in each case that I had Background App Refresh enabled for the app. My phone is always connected to wifi at home and I leave it on at all times. Yet on Monday morning I still have to go into the app and manually download the new episodes.

    Is there an app for iOS that reliably auto-downloads? I'm willing to pay for one that does. Thanks.

    Samsung Edge Panels Alternative

    Hi, I love small phones. I'm currently using a galaxy S9, and I'm only still using it because of its relatively small screen. I didn't get last year's 12 Mini because I was worried about the battery life, but this year's mini seems to have solved that issue.

    My only remaining concern is that I love the "edge panels" feature, where you have a side bar that is always present that can be pulled out to reveal mini apps or shortcuts, that let you open other apps, or perform actions there and then.

    Is there an equivalent software for iOS, without jailbreaking?

    Does Move to ios app transfer Netflix profile too?

    I can't decide whether to get 11 or 12. They seem identical and I dont'care about OLED or 5G. But with 12 going to have one more year of support and updates, idk what to do. Should I buy 11 at 669€ or 12 at 779€?

    iOS 15 font size setting

    A little background first. I need reading glasses to use my phone / pc etc. Last year I had bought the iphone 11 but couldnt hold on to it because font size wasn't increasing in all apps inspite of increasing it in settings. So text in Swiggy, Amazon etc was too small for me to read comfortably. In android phones, font size increases across the board which makes it easier for me to read.

    iOS 15 has introduced a new option that font size can be changed per app.

    If this indeed works then I am thinking of giving the iphone another try. So can some kind soul here who has updated his phone to iOS 15 give this a try and give me feedback? Please try swiggy and amazon apps specificallly. Thanks in advance.

    Laggy facetime after updating to iOS 15

    Ever since updating to iOS 15, my Facetime has been pretty much unusable with very low frame rate, frequent poor connection status and sometimes dropping calls.

    My internet speed is fine (75mbps down/10 mbps up) and frequently there is nothing else demanding the bandwidth, but I still have laggy calls.

    This was also an issue on my old phone (XS Max) which I replaced recently with 11Pro Max. The issue on both phones started when I updated to the new iOS.

    Anyone else have these issues or suggestions?

    Problems with Apple Music and podcasts jumping and skipping

    Hi everyone, this is my first post. I have an issue with my new iPhone 12 mini and am hoping to get advice. When I listen to Apple music or podcasts while walking, the audio frequently jumps and skips and drives me crazy. I've tried numerous things to stop it but I'm new to iPhone and am hoping there is some solution I haven't yet tried. It makes no difference whether I download or stream. It happens when I hold the phone and also when it's in my pocket. I disabled raise to wake and tap to wake to no avail - I thought maybe I've been accidentally touching the Apple Music or podcast widget thing on the Lock Screen. I've tried to disable Apple Music or the podcast widget thing from appearing on the lock screen but can't work out how to do it. I have wired Apple earbuds but it also happens if I walk and play music through the speakers. I'd really appreciate your advice. Thank you

    Can you hide specific notifications from an app?

    My banking app on my iphone always sends me a notif saying "You have been logged out due to inactivity" a few minutes after I stop using the banking app.

    It's a totally useless notification though, so I'm wondering - is there a way to only prevent that specific notif from showing up?

    I looked in the banking app settings but there wasn't an option there. But does ios have a way to hide specific notifications from a given app but still allow other ones?

    Why does youtube default to 360P resolution in browsers?

    Hi guys!

    I have an iphone 11 that I've had for about a year. I'm really frustrated that youtube videos in Brave/Safari, or any other browser I've tried defaults to 360P resolution. What's worse, I can't even manually change the resolution past 720P. Note that the SAME video can be played on the youtube app in 1080P so it's not the video.

    Does anyone know how to fix this? I've looked online but can't seem to come up with a solution. This is really making me want to go back to android with youtube vanced. lol.

    What I've tried:

    request desktop site, tried every browser in the app store.

    What happens when I remove a device from your Devices list?

    Sorry for the silly question, but...

    My iPhone keeps crashing and I am having to send it back to the company that I bought it from (second hand). They have asked me to deactivate icloud from my phone, presumably so they are free to reset the phone. However I am nervous about losing my data etc. from this phone and not having a recent backup to use when I finally get the phone back. Could someone explain how this works? :D

    OOTL: Is CSAM still planned? Is it already in iOS 15?

    I didn't have reddit for a few weeks and the last time I was here, this sub-reddit was blowing up due to CSAM. iOS 15 came out but I didn't update it yet, because of the fear that CSAM is still a thing and it is already in iOS 15. So yeah, I'm out of the loop. Can someone clarify, please?
