I found an app which is a scam and needs to be removed from the AppStore as its clear what the developers are doing.

On google play, there is a report app button which you can press, select the reason, and enter text explaining the problem. You can also go to a designated google page to report it further in depth.

On the AppStore? No where to be found. Online guides say that the only way to report applications is to go to reportaproblem and select the application there. The problem with this is that i downloaded the application last year, and scrolling down eventually stops loading. This method only works for recently downloaded applications.

What can I do? Create a social media post and hope it gains enough traction for Apple to see and investigate? Create a new Apple ID, download the app then report it? There is literally zero way unless I am missing something.

Happens way too often where ios and macOS have nothing to suggest or are way off in the word I'm trying to spell. But when I type it in to a web search, any search engine provides me with the exact words I'm looking for, right at the top. It's been like this since forever

I don't use iMessage either, I found a message from a thread I had deleted years ago. When I click on the thread where the message was supposedly it just takes me to a random thread from Jake in my phone.

My question is how can a deleted message show up in the spotlight search , but when I go to actually find the message it's actually not there . Any help is appreciated. 🙏🏽

iOS 14: Only receiving Pushnotices and iMessages

Hi guys,

I noticed a weird behaviour on my iPhone. I am running an iPhone X on iOS 14.7.1.

Yesterday suddenly I could not connect to the internet from any app via mobile data although the signal is full and 4G/LTE are shown on the top. Phone functions are working, I can call any number and any number can call me.

Anyhow on Wi-Fi everything is working as usual. Now to the weird part. Today at work I noticed, that I am receiving push notifications for various apps and also iMessages seem to be working (I am not connected to any Wi-Fi). However when I click on the notifications, e.g. for a received mail or telegram message, the apps keep on loading or mention, that I am not connected to the internet.

I tried several steps, turning on/off cellular data, airplane, phone. I even did a soft ~~and a hard~~ reset as well as a reset of the network settings. Without this doing anything.

Does anybody of you have another idea, what to do?

Does anyone know how to get the details (metadata, location) of your iPhone profile picture?

Everything I've seen online focuses on changing, or deleting the profile picture but I can't see any information anywhere on getting the details of your current profile picture.

If I remember right, I think I opted to "Take Photo" when setting it up. I can't seem to find the image in my photo library.

Does anyone happen to know how to find the filename, or location of that image?

Demo iPhone 12 mini iOS

Hello reddit! I have an interesting case here, me and my company recently cleaned out a closed down Verizon chain. In on of the displays we found a demo version of the iphone12 mini. The demo version of the apple products have a modified version of iOS. I know I can just update the iOS on the phone and turn it into a normal phone, but I was wondering if there was any kind of market for this kind of thing. I've been looking online and it seems like everything else I've seen was either stolen or a hoax. I also wanted to know if there was some sort of collector or apple fanboy that would like to have an iPhone still in demo mode, from what I've found it's next to impossible for the public to get thier hands on these things. Changing an all day event to part day on iOS calendar synced with google calendar has a weird problem.

So through some trouble shooting this morning a buddy and I finally figure out that if you're using a google calendar synced on iOS or any Apple calendar and take an event that is all day and try to set it for a specific time frame. You can set the time to whatever you want and hit save and then iOS updates it to something hours ahead of what you're trying. For example I set an all day event to 8am to 4pm and it changed it to 3am to 11am.

But after this initial change if you change the time back, then it will stay there and you're good.

Is there some setting messing with this in iOS or is this just a bug that we're stuck with?

Probably a stupid question about Face ID?

I'm thinking about getting the iPhone 12 Pro soon but being used to Touch ID for years, I was wondering, isn't it gonna be annoying when I want to check the time by raising the phone but it wakes AND unlocks because I'm looking at it? I feel like I'm going to have to lock it after every single time I want to check the time or something.

I mean with Touch ID, I just raise my phone, it wakes and I check the time without it unlocking.

Does that actually happen? Is there something I could do about it?

Is it somehow possible to use iMessage with a VOIP number, or some other method besides your SIM's # or an e-mail address?

I don't use iMessage (or any stock Apple app) due to privacy concerns. I use VOIP numbers not associated to my name whatsoever.

Is there a server or something I could possibly set up to use iMessage with a VOIP?

How to add GMail in Mail App?

Hi, I'm struggling to add my gmail account to the official mail app manually. IMAP on GMail is activated, POP as well. But still after i put in every information for incoming and outgoing mails, it says can't load mails or password not provided… (There is a reason I don't wanna use the build in mail app function to add a gmail account)

Anything i'm missing?

Screen time/Downtime 24hrs

Also, does "Block at Downtime" completely lock out the phone? I've looked online but can't find anything certain. Appreciate the help!

Alarms and Volume mute over night?

So I've been searching for hours trying to find a solution to this and I was hoping someone here might have run into this, I'm running IOS 15 Beta 4 and I've been having a lot of issues with my sound and alarms. I'll test my alarms every night to make sure all of my sound settings are set up the right way, yet without fail anytime I go to bed something mites them and I only get vibrations instead of sound. This is happening with both the default clock application and other apps such as Alarmy. Does anyone know of any strange settings or "features" that might mute volume overnight?

To help, I've already made sure DND and focus modes are out of the way, bedtime settings are off, sound is on, and settings on the alarms themselves are fine

App could not be downloaded at this time

I have an iphone 10 running ios 11.3 and I can't update several apps from the app store. This just happened today and I did everything google and youtube told me to but nothing seem to work.

I have: - 18 gigs of storage left so storage isn't an issue - 86% battery health (probably irrelevant) - never jailbroken the device - Working wifi as my brother's phone (iphone 8 on ios 11.4) can update said apps without any problem - tried signing out my apple id then restart then sign back in - tried using different vpn and/or dns profiles - deleted all vpn profiles and apps - deleted ad blocker - restarted the phone (multiple times, obviously) - changed the date and time settings to manual then changed it back to automatic - renew lease on the wifi - forgot wifi, restart device, then signing back in - turned all network connections off and airplane mode on, then restart device, then turn all connections back on - reboot my wifi router - used cellular data and turned off wifi - used wifi and turned off cellular data - reset network settings - sync phone to itunes - back up iphone (i don't use icloud and always back up manually)

And still no luck.

Also, I won't update my ios because I'm not looking to buy a new phone in the near future.

The apps I have trouble updating are Instagram, Twitter and Google Drive, all of which are compatible with ios 11. I triple checked the compatibility status and even if the apps aren't compatible, they won't show as updates on the app store. So compatibility isn't an issue here.

I also tried downloading a random app from the app store and it can install just fine. I even scrolled through my purchase history and tried downloading an app whose most recent version isn't compatible with ios 11 so I was forced to download an older version and had no problem downloading.

Approximate Life Left in iPad

I have an iPad Pro 10.5" model with the A10X Fusion chip. I was wanting to get some feedback on how much life is expected from this device (how long will it continue to get iOS updates). I was considering upgrading but if I don't have to, I would like to wait another year or so.

Notification issue

As you can see from the screenshot I have way more than 1 notification, but iOS count them as one stacked up on each other. I mean, is this a wanted behavior? It's a whatsapp issue? Can this be fixed?

Dark mode turning off early?

I have dark mode set for sunset to sunrise but it is going back to light mode 30 minutes to an hour before sunrise. I am in the Eastern time zone with DST and all of that is reflected in the settings. Has anyone else noticed this or have any suggestions? This is happening on an iPhone 12 Pro Max running the latest version of iOS 14
