| Posted: 23 Jul 2021 03:07 PM PDT So suddenly out of nowhere, I've noticed that when using Reddit app, I get a very choppy performance inside of it and then my phone gets very hot. I need to force close the app in order to let it cool down. I thought it was a 14.7 issue but first I did a complete restore which led to the same thing, then I've even downgraded to 14.6 - same thing! It suddenly gets choppy. Is anyone facing the same issue or is it just my phone suddenly being allergic to stock Reddit app? I'm not willing to use 3rd party Reddit clients so I'm kinda stuck it seems, at least for now. EDIT: uninstalled the app. It was terrible, causing battery drain even when not open anywhere. One notification and my phone would get hot and drain the crap out of battery. Went with a 3rd party Reddit client called "Comet". Super smooth, pretty good looking, doesn't make my phone hot or even warm and is completely free! Check it out if you are broke like me at the moment and cannot afford Apollo's pro version. [link] [comments]  | ||

| Why does Apple Books store data on iCloud even after I delete the book? How can I delete it? Posted: 24 Jul 2021 12:45 AM PDT If I import a epub to Apple Books, go to page 29, delete the book, then re-add it, Apple Books continues from page 29. Or if I mark a book as finished, then delete it, then import it back, icloud knows the book I just added is finished. It is synced across my other devices as well. I tried deleting documents & data from icloud settings on my ipad but nothing seems to work. It's clear that data is being stored somewhere on icloud. I don't really like the idea of icloud storing any data of the books I've read even after I delete them. it irks my ocd thinking that a tiny data file is taking up a tiny space in my icloud drive somewhere that has info on everything I have read (inb4 you ask... no it's nothing embarrassing lol). | iPhone 12 won’t charge when screen is off. Posted: 24 Jul 2021 03:23 AM PDT I've tried researching about this and my issue seems to be quite rare. This only happens like 3/4 times. When I plug my phone in, I have to tap / wake my screen for the charging logo to appear on my screen. I'm not sure if the issue started when I used my cable to connect to the pc since I don't remember this happening before that. At first, I thought it just wouldn't charge when my screen is locked. But I tried covering face ID, wake my screen, plug in cable and it charged. I'm using original apple cable (which came inside the box) and anker 18w adapter. You guys have similar issues as well? It's really annoying to have Spotify suddenly mute because some asshole advertiser wants to piss off as many people as they possibly can by playing their shite ads without any permission. I am on the 15.0 PB but afaik this behavior was happening before already, I just never found the time to actually try to fix it. Their own articles say that it saves space, but in support they told me it doesn't. I just restored my phone and it has a high GB for messages even though I store in the cloud. | iBooks needs forced syncing like Kindle does. Posted: 23 Jul 2021 10:01 PM PDT Turning iCloud on and off does nothing, nor should this be the practice, the syncing should happen in the background. Posted: 23 Jul 2021 07:22 PM PDT Apologies in advance if this has been asked before… I looked around for a while and couldn't find anything about this exact question, so here I go. My wife and I are in the process of upgrading our iPhone XSs to iPhone 12s. Hers arrived today and we did the iPhone to iPhone transfer for the first time ever. It was a snap and I couldn't believe how simple and thorough it was. I'd like to do the same with mine when it arrives in the next day or so, but there's one difference with my phone. Unlike my wife, I have about 2000 songs downloaded and saved on my iPhone in the Music app. I would estimate that probably 90 percent or more are songs I purchased from iTunes many years ago (before streaming music was even a thing), with the remainders being songs I ripped from CDs back in the day, as well. All are backed up on both my computer and Apple Music. My music is probably the most important thing to me on my phone, even more than pictures of my kids (at least those are hanging on my wall!). If I do the iPhone to iPhone transfer, will all my songs transfer over, as well? And if so, will they automatically download also, or will I have to manually do each one? Or, is my best bet to restore my new iPhone from my most recent iTunes backup on my computer to get everything on correctly? Sorry for the lengthy question, but I figure I've got one chance without screwing everything up and I'd like to do it right.
