Finally figured out how to forward delete on the iPad. Posted: 24 Jun 2021 03:21 AM PDT Coming from Windows, it was really awkward not having a dedicated forward delete key on the Magic Keyboard. But I finally figured it out! It's not as straightforward as I'd like but it's better than nothing. There is also a combination for ESC, which I came across on a Google search. • Forward delete: Control + D • ESC: Command + . • Screenshot: Shift + Command + 3 (or 4 to edit) What are other iPad key combinations that save your workflow? Posted: 24 Jun 2021 05:00 AM PDT So this is my first iPad with any external add on capability. But for the life of me the only way I can figure out how to eject external USB C drives or hubs is 1. close the Files application and 2. Shut down the iPad. This is the only way I know there's no data transferral. Surely there's another way I'm missing? [link] [comments]

What app do you recommend for taking notes that improves handwriting? Posted: 24 Jun 2021 01:08 PM PDT I have horrible writing, is there an iPad app that makes my handwriting better? I know I've seen it somewhere where the text still looks hand written but it improves the readability. However I cannot find it. I have iPad Pro 2016 with a first gen Apple Pencil. App pencil works, but touch isn't responsive. Posted: 24 Jun 2021 01:03 PM PDT Hey guys, I own an ipad air 4 and have been using it mainly to take notes. I use it in landscape mode with a pdf reader and a note taking app side by side. The Apple Pencil 2 works great, and it's quite responsive, but the touch seems to be irresponsive at most times. Is this because of the screen protector that I have on? The pencil works great tho, so I'm curious if this is a recurring problem and if there's a solution for it. I've turned on touch accomodation, but it didn't help much. Bought it hardly a month ago. [link] [comments]
iPad 10.2, iPad Air, iPhones hurt my eyes ... Posted: 24 Jun 2021 08:17 AM PDT I have incredibly sensitive eyes and for some reason the iPhone 11, iPhone SE 2020, and iPhone 12 all hurt my eyes and gave me severe migraines within an hour of use. I've had an iPad mini 2 since 2015 and it still works slowly and it's never hurt my eyes... I'd love to update it, but I bet I can't because the tech is probably the same? I saw reviews on the air saying the screen strained their eyes more. I can handle any and all android screens, so I have no idea why it's like this? I really want an iPad. 😐 I think the basic iPad is the most likely to be acceptable to my eyes. Maybe you all know of a screen protector that blocks blue light or something? I do have blue light glasses and use the blue light filters on the devices. 🤷♀️ Just thought to ask. EDIT: Tried my husband's iPad pro from work for like 45 minutes with reduced white point and my eyes are fatigued. It was better than the iPhone, but still would not be good for me to invest in one for myself, sadly. My husband might buy one for himself since he isn't sensitive. [link] [comments]
Globe key on bluetooth keyboard? Posted: 24 Jun 2021 07:56 AM PDT I am wondering whether there are globe key on any bluetooth keyboard? The one I am using doesn't have that key. [link] [comments]
Posted: 23 Jun 2021 10:19 PM PDT Its kind of important to me cause I'm about to for the first time buy an Apple Pencil and pro for my artwork. I tried a 2018 pro and loved how it felt like there was no gap between pencil and screen so want the same experience with the 2021 pro. Its a deal breaking to me IF it's not a similar experience honestly. [link] [comments] |
