    Issues/Bugs I’ve noticed on 14.5.1

    I've noticed a myriad of bugs on this latest stable release. Seems much worse than the beta before this was released to the masses. Here's my issues:

    FaceTime doesn't call out a lot of time until I reboot my device

    AirPod connectivity and performance is atrocious. Doesn't connect fast like previously During call there are so many issues I just use speaker phone now

    Overall call performance seems pretty bad

    Just a little bit ago my phone unlocked from my watch which I wasn't wearing and the watch was locked. Seen this twice

    During a call if I select speaker it jumps back to ear piece and I have to select speaker again.

    Just seems quite buggy. Are they hiring?

    Anyone else experiencing these issues?

    Is it not possible to save the FULL Live Photo as a video?

    When I use the share sheet and select "Save as Video," the video is only 2 or 3 seconds long (depending on which Live Photo is the source) but the Live Photo is 6 s long.

    Any way to force it to convert the entire 6 s?

    Can’t access iCloud Drive on a new iPad

    I've just bought a new iPad, and have logged in and set it up with my Apple ID. Everything from iCloud syncs fine, apart from Drive and Books - for some reason they just stay empty all the time, and going on iCloud storage in settings on the iPad shows all files as "encrypted". Is there a way to possibly fix that?

    Private Mac Adress can lead to WiFi problems IOS 14.5

    Hi, I have struggled a long time today trying to get my wifi to work. The router connected with all devices and worked perfectly fine, except my iPhone couldn't use the internet. I eventually found out it is because of Private Mac Address.

    Turned it off, everything works perfect again.

    How to turn it off? (Settings, Wi-Fi, click the "i" next to your network, unlclick "private address")

    How can I recover permanently deleted images from the recently deleted folder?

    I have tried disk drill and similar apps to it but they don't work. Photo++ I've tried downloading, but the website gives me impossible tasks like linking a credit card to give me the download link. No videos on youtube work. I have no iCloud or iTunes saves either. I was thinking of physically doing it myself but I don't have the expertise. Does anyone have an idea of how to help me? Thank you so much for your help.

    Why screenshots taken when color filters(grey scale/inverted colors) are applied take after normal screen color?

    Hi all,

    I want to upgrade from my iPhone 7 to iPhone 12Pro.

    The issue I have restoring the new phone with my backup is that it will copy over all the settings etc from the old phone to the new. This will prevent me from experiencing the 'new phone' as it is out of the box. I want to play/customise (or switch off) settings manually as I use my new phone. I feel like that I will get to know the new phone better.

    All I want to back up are my whatsApp messages & contacts and restore them on my new phone.

    Any help is much appreciated!

    Iphone 11 Pro hotspot

    Maybe anyone has any clue why my hotspot may be so slow and how to fix it? Using speedtest app shows me that my 4g has speed at around ~40mbps on my phone, while using same app on another device connected to my phones hotspot only has ~6-8mbps?

    iOS 14.5.1 LTE connectivity issues and stuttering on iPhone 7 Plus

    I experience LTE connectivity issues after restarting, unresponsive Settings, and the Personal Hotspot menu appears after a very long delay. After one day, I downgraded to 14.5 and now everything works fine again.

    Environment: This iPhone 7 Plus is my only access to Internet and has 3-4 bars of LTE signal. I keep the Personal Hotspot enabled all the time, and usually tether over USB to my OpenWRT router.

    Try this: Share Internet to your computer over USB. Then power off the phone, and disconnect the cable. Make sure there is no known Wi-Fi with Internet in range. Optionally keep the Wi-Fi router on, but unplug the Internet. At best try both ways. Power on. At startup, the signal and LTE indicators appear immediately. The carrier name may show immediately or after 10-20 seconds. Either case the phone does not have LTE connectivity for a long time. Check if the Personal Hotspot menu appears immediately in Settings? For me it doesn't, and at the same time the device is stuttering, Settings often freezes or closes. If I navigate to Settings, Mobile Data, I see a link to setup Personal Hotspot which says that my carrier does not enable this. Eventually that link changes to the actual Personal Hotspot menu, where Allow Others to join is enabled. My carrier does enable Internet sharing and I have unlimited data and tethering without any speed restrictions. I need to reboot a few times to get it working normally. Then the stuttering stop, and Internet works. Sometimes connecting the USB to a computer helps. Hard-reset has a better chance to work than power off/on cycle.

    The upgrade from 14.5 to 14.5.1 was performed over the air.

    Screen time disorganized apps after disabling it

    I use screen time for my daughter and limit most apps during that time. When I turn off screen time, all apps come back and not in the order I used to have them in addition to multiple other apps I used to have hidden in the App Library. Any way to overcome this?

    Podcast App storage size bloat?

    Before iOS 14.5, when you deleted a podcast, the size of that podcast would come off the total storage space of the Podcast App. After iOS 14.5 - the delete option is gone. It's now "Remove Podcast" with a little icon of a bin. I assumed this was Delete from Phone. But I don't think any of them have. My total storage size of the App have increased by 900mb in two weeks!!! Is there a solution to this? Or is common across all users now? NB:- I have the "Removed Played" selected ("remove" after 24hrs")…

    Okay, so I own an SE 2020 and I just have a question because I'm very paranoid. I was about to put my phone down and sleep, and that's when a bunch of apps just started downloading on their own. Yes, I've checked automatic downloads, it's already off. My iPhone is not jailbroken. I would appreciate any advice greatly!

    iOS 14.5.1 doesn't vibrate when receiving Telegram messages?

    I know this may be a super niche problem, but hoping I'm not the only one. So this is me confirming that Telegram is the real problem, and not some weird thing my phone does.

    I've only really experienced this since getting my iPhone 12 in December 2020, so may also be an issue with iOS 13.x.x onwards. My phone seems to vibrate for other messaging apps (Messenger, Signal), just not Telegram.

    Also, my Apple Watch doesn't seem to vibrate either.
